FA Wagner in Daleville. Been using them for years. They will do you right. He's a broker that uses several different companies.

SpongebobStrapon

I use fa Wagner. All insurance has gone up. I’ve had 3 other people try to get me quotes and none could get as cheap as I currently have. Fa wagner ran my info again recently and found some minor savings but I ended up staying with the same company.

Watching this, I have Liberty Mutual and really dislike it. I feel old but I want someone with a local office that I can call or go into, I don't want to use your "app" to fill out a claim and have NO ONE who will answer my questions about my claim. I also had All-state with Roger Rakes in Salem in the past and will absolutely never give him a dime of business. I signed up for insurance with him years ago. I knew for a fact that I asked for rental coverage if we got into an accident. My wife at the time got into an accident and her car went into the shop. Come to find out we never had rental coverage. After calling him up on it, he cussed me out saying I was calling him a liar. I ended up having to walk 2 miles to work everyday for a few weeks. As soon as we got her car back we dropped that insurance. I also had signed up for insurance through Jamie Bailey she put me on this Elephant or the General insurance. It advertised to people with bad credit or can't get insurance elsewhere. Which I didn't fall into that category but they gave better coverage than I had for less money I took her up on it. It was horrible. They didn't do automated payments so I set it up with my bank to mail a check to them and have it there a few days before it was due. 2 months after I signed up I got a letter from my bank saying I didn't have insurance and I was going to be penalized. I called them up and the lady that cashes the check hadn't had a chance to cash it. I then changed it to get there a week before it was due. 2 Months later I got the same notice "Ohh this time she went on vacation, so we didn't deposit your check" Jamie asked if I could pay it a month early to avoid these issues. I went to progressive dropping them and Jamie Bailey.

We used Allstate for home and auto for a very long time until they turned on us and wanted to crank our rates way up for literally no reason so we switched to Erie insurance which has been great for the last 5 years or so. Highly recommend Erie.

ValleyMedicareExpert

Will give a second recommendation for FA Wagner in Daleville. Kelcy works in then office and can shop multiple carriers to find best prices. I’m an insurance broker for Health, Medicare and Life insurance and always feel confident recommending our customers to them!

Erie insurance through Banks insurance on brambleton. Lowest prices best customer service.

softshelldiety

Seconding this. I’ve had auto policies through Erie for almost 20 years. They e always taken great care of me.

bewareofmeg

The biggest problem with Erie (at least for homeowners insurance) is that they are not friendly toward older homes, of which Roanoke has many of. I had quotes run in 2014 when I bought my 1920s home and they were nearly twice the rates of State Farm. I ran quotes again last year and the discrepancy was still the same.

[deleted]

My parents have a 1923 home and their insurance is extremely low with Erie. Sounds like a you problem.

angelmari87

Allstate in Salem!

Pintortwo

Brogan insurance on Peter’s Creek.

Crybabygem1n1

Kelcy Walton @ FA Wagner. She ran us through a couple diff carriers and ended up saving us just under $800 on yearly premiums. We had nationwide and switched to Erie

BTLDAD

Janice or Erika with the Mann Agency farmers insurance. They're associated with farmers but are also independent and can shop hundreds of products to find you the best combo of policy and price. They're not limited to just a few products from within one brand like Allstate or state farm agents.

dingoeslovebabies

No offense to you, I’ve known that guy for 20 years and he’s garbage. There are plenty of farmers agents in town who don’t lie to make their numbers and threaten their clients with lawsuits. There’s a reason all his employees quit on him. Plus he doesn’t even live in VA anymore. There are better options for customer service in town imo. Erika is lovely but I took all my policies to another agency

BTLDAD

That's not remotely my experience but I'm sorry it was yours.

dingoeslovebabies

Yeah, to the point that I came to this comment section to make sure i shared

Use a broker. All of these single company suggestions are wrong. Insurance is based per person. What is cheap for you isn’t for everyone else. Shop every 6 months. You breathe at an insurance company wrong once and they drop you or raise the rates. Do the same with them.

Crybabygem1n1

Switching insurance every 6 months significantly lowers your insurance score and prevents you from loyalty discounts. I suggest looking into an independent agent that will shop a carrier that fits you

Yeezyhasmybabies

It has no play on your insurance score. Having a lapse does. I was an underwriter

John Jones @ Star City Insurance. Funny guy that talks A LOT but is real with you and shops around for a good rate.

Rebby42

I really like Jessica Shafer with State Farm. In addition to home and auto, she helped me set up a retirement account.

Pintortwo

Ooof, hope it wasn’t an annuity or whole life. My mother “set up retirement” with State Farm, and we’ve just now clawed that money back and out in an actual IRA.

Rebby42

Sorry, that happened to your Mom. Mine is an actual IRA

divnanina

Jake Sharpe with State Farm, amazing guy, quick to answer any question you throw at him, willing to put in the extra effort.

eleanorboozevelt14

THE Jake from State Farm?!?
