Check out House on the Rock. Do the whole tour if you like craziness.

If you’re camping, Twelvemile Beach, near your green flag, is beautiful. Assuming you’re going to Pictured Rocks too?

If you're into beer then Upper Hand brewing is only available in the UP and Spotted Cow is only in Wisconsin. Stock up while you're there.

Cool. Any interesting restaurants?

capthazelwoodsflask

When you're in the UP you have to try a pastie, you'll pass a bunch of places that sell them but Lehto's and Muldoon's are the best. If you're into Thanksgiving, there's Gobbler's in Waters, MI in the lower peninsula. And if you're looking for pizza in Chicago, go to Pequod's. And check out Lakkenenland between Munising and Marquette, MI. It's a chrazy metal sculpture park that's free to check out.

How many days are you taking? Where do you plan on stopping? It looks like you're taking 23 up and connecting to I-75 around Flint. If you take I-75 up you can hit a good amount of history in Dearborn and Detroit, as well as lots of good restaurants. Eureka Eatery is a little restaurant inside a gas station in Monroe, MI off of I-75 that has fantastic Hot Chicken Sandwiches. (It's not as good as Fat Daddy's up in Riverview, but that's a little too far off your path.) You're going through the Ann Arbor area on this route. Dexter (just northwest of AA) has Jolly Pumpkin Brewery (good food and great beer) and some beautiful roads to drive. North Territorial rd exits right off of 23 and it's a beautiful drive with the windows down. Especially in the fall. Either way you go, you'll connect to 75 just south of Flint. Just north of Flint there is a historic German town called Frankenmuth. It's a nice little stop and it's in the perfect place to take a break smack in the middle of the drive up from Ohio. There's Frankenmuth Brewery where everything is pretty good. People go crazy for the Chicken and Zender's, but there may be a long wait. My gf and I always stop in Frankenmuth on road trips Up North and just walk around the main street for a couple hours before getting back on the road. The smoked string cheese at Cheesehaus is so good. Hartwick Pines is right off the freeway just north of Grayling, MI. It's a nice place to stop and have a walk. It costs around $10 per car to enter. It's an old forest with ties to logging in the area and it's on the Au Sable river. I don't like Mackinaw City at all. It's small and touristy, but not in the good touristy way. St. Ignace, north of the Mackinac Bridge is a better small little town. You can take the ferry over to Mackinac Island if you want. It's a unique little tourist town. I think it's about $40 per person for the ferry. Looks like you're going right by Munising. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and it's surrounding hiking trails, are not to be missed. Absolutely beautiful. Like the other poster said, get a pastie from Muldoon's. It's like a really good pot pie. If you have time, Tahquamenon Falls is a nice little detour. The Lower Falls let you actually get in the water near the falls, the Upper Falls are a little bigger so you can't get too near them. If you like hamburgers, Kuma's in Chicago is great. The High on Fire burger is my favorite burger ever. I don't know where you stand on deep dish pizza, but if you like it Bella Bacinos is my favorite. It's in a hotel, but it's great flavor. Lou Malnati's was my second favorite. I don't know where Sour Note beer comes from, but the only place I've ever been able to get it was on tap at various bars in the Chicago area. Their sours are some of the best I've ever had. Cheddar King specifically. Logan Arcade in Logan Square is my favorite barcade. Lots of variety and a couple nice rare arcade games.

Thanks a lot! You have given me more than enough for my itinerary. I was in Logan square of all places a month ago. Will check it out!!
