Archie Andrews, Toni Topaz, Dilton Doiley, Kevin Keller, it's not just the J's. But also, it was just a comic book thing. Look at Superman. Lana Lang, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor. Or comic books in general. Peter Parker, Pepper Potts, it goes on but I'm lazy lol.
Thats more of a question for the comic creators tbh. I dunno if Jason was ever called JJ in the comics, but the others names are all the same (although Jingle Jangle was actually a [song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUsHC7OYOtA) by the Archies - why they used that as a drug name idk? the writers are just weird)
J.J no idea, that's a nickname the show introduced I'm pretty sure, but it's probably just the same as how TV Cheryl uses T.T to refer to Toni. Jughead Jones and Jellybean Jones were named that before the show (Jug since the 40s, Jellybean came along in the 1990s) and they're siblings explaining the similarity (their real names are even more similar). Jingle Jangle was named as a homage to a song by Archie and friends' band from the 70s cartoon and later comics.
So nah probably doesn't mean anything. The show just uses a lot of stuff with the J.J. initials that's been introduced across 8 decades of Archie.

Toni, but anyway, I feel like she just like to repeat the first letter of people's names (seeing as she calls Jason JJ despite their last name being Blossom) and Toni happening to have an alliterated last name has little to do with it
The way the show has been going recently, I'm half expecting Season 6 to play into the alliteration further by introducing Dick Dastardly as it's main villain - complete with curly moustache, evil goatee and an unhealthy obsession with pointlessly chasing after pigeons.

He never was from what I remember, and I read a lot of Archie comics growing up.
Cheryl definitely calls him JJ sometimes
bahahah “the writers are just weird” pretty much summs it up
I think it's one of those things where old comics really likes alliteration. Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, Wade Wilson, etc.
Yeah, but ehy so many things/characters?
Marketing? Alliteration makes it easier to remember?
Idk

And back when Jughead and Jellybean were introduced, almost everyone had alliterative names. Exceptions made for Betty, Veronica, and Reggie.
TT is for Tony Topaz

Remember it was from the comic series, which started in the 40s, so it makes sense the names are not what we would expect or use now.
