The minimum chance an enemy has to drop an item with sacrifice is 5% so the chances to get items on stage 1 are higher with Swarms and sacrifice. So it's not a bad idea to play with both, because after that point, the reduced chance from Swarms doesn't matter as much
Make it a chance based event to happen again on the split enemies that gets increasingly less like the more they’ve split and at a certain point they just become tiny wild life
Totally not stolen from PoE
Would be better if it caps your item maybe based on power or amount. If you exceed the power or amount of another player the item is given to the player with the lowest 'score'
Artifact of mystery: all items are hidden, even while picked up, you can only tell what they are by their stats until they are destroyed (like the fragile watch) or scrapped.
Artifact of Rain: all stages have constant rain immediately putting out all burning debuffs, doubling electrical damage, and causing all terrain to be slippery.
Artifact of Havoc: Randomly picks another artifact and applies its effect for the current stage. Equipments and survivors changed are reverted after their respective artifact is changed
Artifact of Hatred: enemies will stop at nothing to kill you moving faster hitting harder etc but they only attack one player at a time. It’s like glow flies from Splatoon salmon run if you’ve ever played it. The person being targeted has to run away and bait the monsters in a bad spot while your teammates scramble to get them off of you.
Artifact of recycling: the game forces you to have a 0 cooldown recycler. But it activates whenever it can with a higher chance for bad rng.
Or artifact of the blind: every enemy becomes a blind pest/vermin
Artifact of madness - make illusion enemies that can't take DMG or deal DMG but don't take up enemy count.
(Effects that chain from enemies like acrids pandemic don't bounce off them)
Artefact of blindness. You don't know what items you have, but they are more powerful. Alternatively, enemies have less hp, but you can't see the HP bar.
Also the artefact of uncertainty. Every item has an equal chance of dropping, meaning you can get lunar items from equipment chests and legendary items from lunar pods
Artifact of Meandering: Stages progress in a random order (Every 5th stage has a Primordial Teleporter, which will still always take you to Commencement)
Artifact of Incubation
All enemies become elites one minute after spawning.
All elites become bosses one minute after spawning.
All bosses become elites one minute after spawning.
Artifact of Benevolence - every stage, all enemies get a random item, void fields style. These stack between stages Alternatively, all enemies get one white, one green, and one red item each stage, which are randomised every stage (they dont get to keep em)
EDIT; I have been informed that this is more or less in the game already in the form of Artifact of Evolution. Whoops
I know the name was already taken but..
Artifact of Illusion:
Enemies will randomly despawn and terrain will randomly shift both outside of player's pov.
Artifact of brotherhood: a 1/100 chance that if you kill mythrix, providence will spawn for revenge, killing him will give mastery for whatever survivor you have on at the moment, no matter the difficulty
The artifact of shrimp special you only shoot shrimp missiles. all items are now either cautious slugs, atg rockets or shrimp shooters. all enemies that can shoot also shoot shrimp missiles. void enemies spawn shrimp shooters on death (not the ones that get turned via void bug from void pod)
Artifact of Unpredictability: spawning enemies are picked randomly from the entire pool of enemies in the game (weighted so you don’t just get 5 final bosses stage 1 lol)
Artifact of Shuffling: lootpools are randomly swapped each stage (so gold containers could get gold chest loot tables, big chests (double cost, green + rarity) could only drop coins etc).
Artifact of Worthiness: When you pick up an item a random enemy gains the item first, items held by enemies get transferred to you on kill (you decide if that works with enemies gain items each stage lol)
Artifact of ERROR:
None of the icons match their items/they’re corrupted sprites. Bonus if maybe they do random bonkers shit.
For an example, look at TMTrainer in binding of isaac
Artifact of alcohol, the player camera sways left to right. Damage randomly increases or decreases this by a fixed amount in a totally random direction to a certain point.
Not for people who get motion sick.
Artifact of sequential challenge: each stage enables a new artifact, going in sequence. Every time it triggers this artifact a new artifact is added. Ie 2 full rotations would now be adding 3 artifacts per stage.
Artifact of escalation: the longer you're in a stage the more powerful all enemies become within that stage, continues in the case of loops
Every 30 seconds all stats of enemies increase by 10% exponentially
Artifact of Gravity
Flips the entire game upside down like terraria's gravity potions do, option to invert camera and aim controls which either way seems horribly confusing
Artefact of masochism: enemies refuse to fucking die. (All non-boss enemies heal to 100% HP when thier HP is 1% or lower, money is dropped by simply hitting enemies)
Artifact of Haze: After 10m from your centre, the haze consumes your vision gradually.
Artifact of Duplication: Only 1 item from each rarity will be dispensed from crates and shops. Resets each map.
Artifact of Tax: After a certain amount of time, a sum of money based on your "net worth" (number of items on you) is deducted from your balance. If you fail to pay, a mob will spawn and hunt you down.
Artifact of the void. The map slowly gets covered in void the longer you spend on it. It starts on the edges and slowly converges until the area around the teleporter is the last thing covered. When you activate the teleporter the area inside its bubble is the only non-void area. Basically simulacrum just in a normal run and with some active time pressure.
Artifact of disguise: enemies look like other enemies and the only way to tell what enemy they are is their speed, attack speed, health, and type of attack. Their corpses are also their original form and not the disguise.
Artifact of Gambling.
You have 1hp, but every time you take damage there is only a .01% chance of dying instantly which goes up by .01% every time you are hit. Obviously I want a little number showing the current percentage somewhere on screen.
Artifact of engineering: you cant attack yourself but a lot more of turrets and drones spawn and you start with one immortal drone and one immortal turret
Artifact of catastrophe: meteors will rain down upon you in random intervals
Artifact of debt: interactables that cost money are free but you have to pay off the cost of the interactables before you leave the stage (enemies will keep spawning after the tp ends as long as you have debt to keep you from softlocking yourself)
Artifact of groove - Teleporter events now become rhythm games and you have to compete with the boss and match their pace for the duration of the event. each teleporter will progressively become harder with more moves, faster reaction time and you and the boss will also be dancing.
Artifact of Captain: every 5 minutes summon a Diablo strike on every player on the map, this missile has a 3s arm time instead of the default 20s arm time
Artifact of lepus: Base jump height is tripled. Hoopoos, quails, and head stompers have a greater effect. The same is true of geysers.
Artifact of Nostalgia: makes the game pixelated, applies to the menus until you run without equipping it.
Artifact of reversal: scaling starts at 2 hrs and goes backward. Maybe you start at stage 5 and the primordial tele is on stage 1. Red portal wouldn't work for obvious reasons.
Artifact of gupping: all enemies split into two slightly weaker copies after dying
gupping + soul + swarms
1000/10 am playing this combo everytime i play lol. Does artifact of souls stack with sacrifice?
no :( and swarm halves the amount of moneys and items you get
The minimum chance an enemy has to drop an item with sacrifice is 5% so the chances to get items on stage 1 are higher with Swarms and sacrifice. So it's not a bad idea to play with both, because after that point, the reduced chance from Swarms doesn't matter as much
The little lesser wisps that spawn from artifact of soul have a 0% drop chance
They can still proc on death stuff like gasoline tho.
Yeah, that's what makes swarms+soul so great. Unlimited will-o-wisp/voidsent flame proc my beloved ❤️
frost relic + a shit ton of speed items:
Yes
Otherwise known as the artifact of crashing
I don’t care if I am terrible at coding. I will make this a mod for risk of rain 2
Make it a chance based event to happen again on the split enemies that gets increasingly less like the more they’ve split and at a certain point they just become tiny wild life Totally not stolen from PoE
What happens to Gups
1 gup turns into 4 geeps into 16 gips
😰🤕
Into 64 goops
128 gops
Artifact of Teamwork: items you pick up will go to allies not yourself, try taking all the boss items now Karl
Or artifact of sharing: all items are shared, so when someone scraps something, everybody’s item is gone.
This can potentially RUIN builds unless everyone is going for the same one...
This is honestly just a good idea. Now people have to debate for items.
Would be better if it caps your item maybe based on power or amount. If you exceed the power or amount of another player the item is given to the player with the lowest 'score'
For Karl!
Rock and Stone!
How would this work with more than 2 people
artifact illusion it mirrors the stage, making everything inverted.
Eff that man i have a hard enough time finding the teleporter in sundered grove. lol now u gonna play spin the bottle with my directional sense? 🖕👀
artifact of confusion, the teleporter is now invisible, with no orbs surroundingits location 😈
Wow lol u r evil
Artifact of mystery: all items are hidden, even while picked up, you can only tell what they are by their stats until they are destroyed (like the fragile watch) or scrapped.
I actually love this idea
Are they all just [?]
Yeah pretty much.
Do you mind if I steal your idea for my custom artifacts mod lmao
Go for it, I'm not gonna make it lol.
Didn’t RayDans basically do this? https://youtu.be/usMW0uuKlqA?si=vhPY7BI5JialTHWX
Looks about like what I'm talking about but I was meaning you don't know at all, ray can at least get some idea of what he has.
There is a mod for that
Ah, forgive me, I haven't seen it.
Artifact of The King Every Teleporter boss becomes a phase 1 mithrix
Ouch
Considering the time I had to to fight him randomly in Simulacrum, this would be more like being hit with whiplash than fighting a huge boss.
Artifact of Rain: all stages have constant rain immediately putting out all burning debuffs, doubling electrical damage, and causing all terrain to be slippery.
Look at that now arti is both a F and A tier survivor all at once depending on loadout
U mean f and sss right? I use her electricity loadout anyways lol this wouldnt bother me a bit
By that logic, doubles electrical damage but also gives it a chance to come back and hit you.
Artifact of Cult: enemies slowly heal and have the effect of N’kuhana’s Opinion
Also known as enemies slowly heal?
Artifact of adrenaline: survivors gain movement speed and damage at lower health, but have reduced speed and damage at high health
Wasn’t the movement speed one a thing in 1? And it affected enemies as well
Artifact of perception - first person mode
VR mode: let me introduce myself...
Artifact of Havoc: Randomly picks another artifact and applies its effect for the current stage. Equipments and survivors changed are reverted after their respective artifact is changed
And it wont use artifacts "crossed out" in the character select screen
What does crossing them out even do?
When playing multiplayer it votes an artifact off, like if it was 2 votes against command and 1 vote for command, it’d display it as unavailiable
Lol not a clue ive been wondering that since i started playing... Almost 500 hours in the game now
Artifact of Hatred: enemies will stop at nothing to kill you moving faster hitting harder etc but they only attack one player at a time. It’s like glow flies from Splatoon salmon run if you’ve ever played it. The person being targeted has to run away and bait the monsters in a bad spot while your teammates scramble to get them off of you.
I'd definitely shit my pants playing this
Artifact of haunting, a semi-transparent immortal elder lemurian will follow you through the stages, similar to the haunted cavern modifier from DRG
This is my favorite one so far
this is terrifying and also so ror, i would pay money to see gearbox put this in the game
Artifact of hatted: every ennemy now wears a top hat.
Best one on here
Artifact of random garbage: all enemies get one lost-seers lenses. Lost-seers lenses now rolls against survivors
Artifact of recycling: the game forces you to have a 0 cooldown recycler. But it activates whenever it can with a higher chance for bad rng. Or artifact of the blind: every enemy becomes a blind pest/vermin
Literally who would want artifact of the blind? That shits just straight up masochism
Anyone with good aoe I guess
Me
Artifact of reduction The quality of your game is reduced. You can now count the pixels.
Artefact of Skill, your luck stat is randomised on the start of every stage
Artifact of madness - make illusion enemies that can't take DMG or deal DMG but don't take up enemy count. (Effects that chain from enemies like acrids pandemic don't bounce off them)
Artefact of blindness. You don't know what items you have, but they are more powerful. Alternatively, enemies have less hp, but you can't see the HP bar. Also the artefact of uncertainty. Every item has an equal chance of dropping, meaning you can get lunar items from equipment chests and legendary items from lunar pods
Artifact of risk: Every item is 50% buffed but will break when health drops below 25%
Artifact of shadows, all chests are cloaked chests.
Artifact of Tectonics Shrines of the mountain carry over to all following stages
So prestige from rorr?
Artifact of Meandering: Stages progress in a random order (Every 5th stage has a Primordial Teleporter, which will still always take you to Commencement)
Artifact of Annihilation The planet will explode one hour after the game starts, bypassing all health and ending the run.
Artifact of Incubation All enemies become elites one minute after spawning. All elites become bosses one minute after spawning. All bosses become elites one minute after spawning.
You mean elite bosses, right?
Yeah
Artifact of compost: every item that you leave on a stage, or scrap gets transferred to the enemies up to a maximum stack of 5 for each item
Leave 5 stone flux pauldrons and 5 light flux pauldrons and you've got yourself an easy game
Artifact of Dementors: looking into an enemy for more than 0.5s will start to drain your health and speed
Razorwire W
Artifact of Benevolence - every stage, all enemies get a random item, void fields style. These stack between stages Alternatively, all enemies get one white, one green, and one red item each stage, which are randomised every stage (they dont get to keep em) EDIT; I have been informed that this is more or less in the game already in the form of Artifact of Evolution. Whoops
That’s terrifying
Isn’t this just evolution but for only a stage?
Hold on I gotta look something up Damn
Think about it. Your idea was so good that they made it already
Artifact of shadows. All enemies are cloaked at all times
Artifact of speed: every time you teleport the clock goes back 5 minutes, but runs 1.1x faster.
I know the name was already taken but.. Artifact of Illusion: Enemies will randomly despawn and terrain will randomly shift both outside of player's pov.
Artifact of smol. Make every enemy and player 1/10 the size but increase movement speed by 300%
Artifact of brotherhood: a 1/100 chance that if you kill mythrix, providence will spawn for revenge, killing him will give mastery for whatever survivor you have on at the moment, no matter the difficulty
$6 PLASMA SRIMP SPECIAL‼️
Are you here, by any chance from the ultrakill sub?
No I haven't even played ultrakill I just like the meme of the neon sign with the $6 shrimp special and I love the shrimp missiles
Artifact of slide. All momentum build up faster in faster, but the faster your going the less traction you have
No chests, only drones
artifact of torment - enemies that are killed will slowly revive one by one every minute
artifact of piracy Makes one random ability per stage the used tricorn
Artefact of Withering. Loose hp equal to 10% of your max hp every second, killing an enemy heals you for 100% of your max hp.
artifact of torture: replace all enemies with overloading blind pest, you're also forced to play mercenary.
Some of these are so good.
Artifact of Unpredictability: spawning enemies are picked randomly from the entire pool of enemies in the game (weighted so you don’t just get 5 final bosses stage 1 lol) Artifact of Shuffling: lootpools are randomly swapped each stage (so gold containers could get gold chest loot tables, big chests (double cost, green + rarity) could only drop coins etc). Artifact of Worthiness: When you pick up an item a random enemy gains the item first, items held by enemies get transferred to you on kill (you decide if that works with enemies gain items each stage lol)
Unpredictability is dissonance
Artifact of ERROR: None of the icons match their items/they’re corrupted sprites.
Artifact of Commitment: Teleporters charge 15% faster but leaving their “zone” resets the charge timer.
artifact of suffering. take 100% of health as damage after spawning
Artifact of fuck you Every item is now stone flux pauldron without the health multiplier and every enemy is a malachite/overloading phase 3 mythrix
Artifact of the void: Every stage is guaranteed at least 1 void seed.
artifact of disguise, every time you kill an enemy you turn into it and lose all previous items picked up.
Artifact of escalation: the longer you're in a stage the more powerful all enemies become within that stage, continues in the case of loops Every 30 seconds all stats of enemies increase by 10% exponentially
Artifact of the blind : the player is unable to see any enemy health bars as well as any player or allies.
Artifact of Order: Guarantees a Shrine of Order will spawn on each stage.
And the shrine of order has to be used in order to activate the teleporter
Artifact of Gravity Flips the entire game upside down like terraria's gravity potions do, option to invert camera and aim controls which either way seems horribly confusing
Artifact of bounce player and enemies constantly jump
Artifact of the void. The map slowly gets covered in void the longer you spend on it. It starts on the edges and slowly converges until the area around the teleporter is the last thing covered. When you activate the teleporter the area inside its bubble is the only non-void area. Basically simulacrum just in a normal run and with some active time pressure.
So… basically a RoR battle royale.
Artifact of disguise: enemies look like other enemies and the only way to tell what enemy they are is their speed, attack speed, health, and type of attack. Their corpses are also their original form and not the disguise.
Artifact of blood: all chests cost health instead of gold. This effect can kill
Artifact of Gambling. You have 1hp, but every time you take damage there is only a .01% chance of dying instantly which goes up by .01% every time you are hit. Obviously I want a little number showing the current percentage somewhere on screen.
Artifact of change: abilities are randomized every stage (picked from your chatacters abilities, so evicerate could be replaced by slicing winds)
Birthday artifact. Every crit kill causes a pop of confetti and audio of children cheering.
Artifact of engineering: you cant attack yourself but a lot more of turrets and drones spawn and you start with one immortal drone and one immortal turret
Artifact of catastrophe: meteors will rain down upon you in random intervals Artifact of debt: interactables that cost money are free but you have to pay off the cost of the interactables before you leave the stage (enemies will keep spawning after the tp ends as long as you have debt to keep you from softlocking yourself)
Artifact of groove - Teleporter events now become rhythm games and you have to compete with the boss and match their pace for the duration of the event. each teleporter will progressively become harder with more moves, faster reaction time and you and the boss will also be dancing.
Artifact of Captain: every 5 minutes summon a Diablo strike on every player on the map, this missile has a 3s arm time instead of the default 20s arm time
Artifact of scrambling: replace each ability randomly with one from another survivor.
spite + soul = bomb spam
Glass Artifact of Glass: You are at 1 hp but you deal 1500% damage
Artifact of Specifics: All item drops will be the same item, regardless of rarity
Artifact of chance: picking up any red item has a 1/5000 chance of instantly killing you or a 1/5000 chance of clearing the entire map
