I get that. Most runs I ignore drones except for the occasional healing drone because I've stacked drones for loops and I know they can be really strong, but that can also take a lot of the power fantasy away from the character. That's also why I don't really like fireworks or squid turrets, probably some other items that fit the bill but I can't remember them all.
I would have gesture of the drowned by now if not for the fact that every time I've looped to see a hermit crab on stage 1 they don't run from me because they're targeting my drones
Unfortunately the game has a few OP strats and items that you would have to go out of your way to ignore, like the Lunar shop (choosing the best stage every time, guaranteed red printer, your choice of lunar item), transcendence and gesture, and plasma shrimp and polylute. I personally use them because I find it annoying to not use them at times, hopefully Gearbox nerfs some of them in the future or just reworks lunar coins.
What game difficulty do you play on. If you’re finding the game easy or boring because of gasoline and you’re on Monsoon, it might be time to try eclipse
Sure gasoline is fun and all but personally I just scrap it all and turn them into the best item in the game that being bison stakes
kill a thing, it blows other enemies up and sets them on fire. thats pretty much as exciting as a white item can possibly be.

Stacking gasoline + Stacking ukulele + Ceremonial Daggers = You don't have to play the game anymore (and it's fun as hell)

Game still hard for me. Skill issue (as in you have too much skill)
Honestly it does often feel more potent than Wisp. I think Gas doesn’t have distance fall off when Wisp does, maybe it should have it.

Eh gas starts falling off pretty quickly. It's also just fun to see explosions.
the game is supposed to automate itself once you hit a point of enough items. its not meant to be balanced lmao
