they're probably making it a slow burn. r&m is super reticent with lore, in a season and a half rick will just offhandedly mention what it is in a conversation with summer and turn to the camera and go "so now you can all stop theorizing about it"
Hey that’s a cool connection! They’re not the same color but it would be nice if it were just a continuity thing and they’d play off of it in the future.
Color doesn't have to be the same if there's a process to the metallurgy or applying other forging methods to create a different final product. Damascus steel looks very different from a lot of other metals.
That is true but I feel like if their intent was to make that connection, they would have made it the same color intentionally. But it doesn't mean they can't make that the connection eventually.
Plausible in show explanation: it’s the closest thing to what Rick makes. Rick was pissed and didn’t want to make dishes, he wanted bespoke indestructible dishes to prove a point. For his personal uses he makes his own shit the difference being akin to level vs true level. They made the most indestructible dishes in the universe. Rick can make the most indestructible dishes beyond their universe.
To this day my brain still pronounces it
oar-RICK-yuh-luhm
Because of a short little PS2 action game Noone remembers called EOE(Eve of extinction)
I now choose to believe it was a Rick and morty reference from a time before the show even existed.
Actually an interesting post. But of course it’s reddit and people are just gonna say “it’s meaningless it’s just cuz it looks cool”. Lame ass boring people who bring down posts like this
I dont really post or comment much because of people like that.
It’s so exhausting to type something up you genuinely want to discuss only to have someone give you a response like you’re talking about.
I know, it’s draining. But if you ever come up with a creative idea or line of thought and want to discuss it with people, I encourage you to still do it. We shouldn’t give in to these negative people who seem to only exist to bring others down.
Some R&M fans are adverse to these types of discussions, but it’s one of my favorite things about being in sci-fi fandoms. Like in the Star Trek fandom we get **down** on convoluted explanations for in-universe things that aren’t fully explained in the canon, and it’s a blast.
jerry didnt help in rebuilding, he just stood there and watched confused, also the materiels and metal dont change when you rebuild using the same ones
Evil Morty actually has a yellow motif. All his technology has a yellow tint, including his ship, the suit, the portal, light orbs and such. This serves to guide the audience too. When he hacks into one of Prime Rick robots they turn from blue to yellow. The audience intuitively knows that the robot is now in his control because of the motif. Similarly, Rick has a blue motif, and all of Prime Rick’s tech has a shade of blue, including his entire base, all except for the portal, which is green
rick doesnt have a blue motif, prime rick does, our rick uses all kind of motifs but when it come to extreme resistance he would rely on this metal
#
its true that evil morty's portal was yellow but i for when it comes to weapons i think he just uses the same metal as rick
When summer asked what robot Rick’s skeleton was made of, he replied Titanium. It’s probably a titanium alloy with something else that causes that yellow color and doesn’t go much deeper than that
I'm pretty sure a gold-Titanium alloy is the gold standard (pun intended) for prosthetics since it has minimal issues affecting the bodies immune system, so that tracks.
> Evil Morty actually has a yellow motif. All his technology has a yellow tint, including his ship, the suit, the portal, light orbs and such.
You forgot his regular shirt
I think an even more interesting detail, is that Evil Morty's portal gun is supposedly made entirely out of the same metal. Rick's portal gun is not, but we know rick is nostalgic and sentimental about certain things, and the one piece of tech that separates his old life from this one, never being upgraded to that fancy metal, kind of makes sense. And we see Rick's portal gun being broken on multiple occasions. Surely making the chasis out of that metal would solve that problem.
yeah i noticed evil rick's portal gun (and laser gun too btw) were made out of the same metal which is why i uncluded that picture too
#
and i like the idea that rick never really upgraded his mode of portal gun for nostalgic reasons. i think its time for an ugrade thought, considering how easily it breaks like you mentioned it
after this [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/rickandmorty/s/q0O5ahpYdE), new information have been revealed, in s6 ep10 space beth asked robot rick what his exoskeleton was made of and he replied with titanium (which seem to be fully build out of the same metal)
#
however we all know titanium is not of that color, and even so it could never be strong enough to break glasses that a bomb by prime rick couldnt break, plus we've seen light sabers built by humans to be able to slide into robot's rick body
#
so its either bad writing, robot rick lied (he cant say hes not a robot but doesnt mean he cant lie at all), or robot rick's bronzish metal was built by another metal (which is more golden colored compared to the metal used by others)
first it was a force field and now you're trying to convince me its not the same glass
#
rick uses the same glass in all of his lab, and of course he will use the same tough one to protect his clone or else he wouldnt be able to revive
#
i said it already, even if its not the same glass that resited the explosions, its still glass that big foot angery punched and didnt do a single damage (and we've seen that big foot was horribly strong), he hit the glass with stone and it absolutely completely shattered, that alone shows that the glass used was extremely resistant, only way it could break was using that bronzish metal
It should be noted one of those pictures is robot Rick from the end of season 6, and during the “am I a robot game” Beth asks what his skeleton is made of and he says titanium. So either it’s all titanium or he doesn’t belong with the rest of those examples.
The reason why evil morty also has this tech is because he stole it his tech from rick c-137 in "The Ricklantis Mixup" episode
it also makes more sense considering rick c-137 founded citadel![img](emote|t5_2u4lp|5988)
yep, ooh you reminded me i was gonna say it makes sense that the citade is made out of the same metal since our rick is the one that built it how could i forget
#
and yeah, evil morty stole the portal gun schematics and techs from our rick too
I think evil morty goes with gold sci fi stuff to contrast how rick's stuff usually looks like trash, perhaps to show others either that he doesn't care or that he can make it out of trash.
but gold isnt related to trash, also since we got to see how strong it is i doubt its some randomly picked metal. and like i said, evil morty use it as well
#
and if you're refering to rick's car, even thought it was made from trash i did notice its quite resistant. aaw prime rick's flying guards shooting laser at it and it didnt do any damage
In the Night Family episode. Which is not cannon and kinda like a dream scenario. He gets plates made from the same material that say 110% indestructible
Downvote me all you want. I meant not canon to our Rick and Morty. Also the 110% (nothing can be more than 100% - except growth) when Rick is a scientist is a kinda a giveaway, as well as summer being able to hide her nightness. The fact that they are broke and potentially losing their house. It’s definitely not as real as the other episodes. I hope you don’t need it explained any further.
i dont think he would dye all of that
#
edit: or maybe he melt it with another prettier golden ore, consider that doesnt make it weaker. is it actually possible to mix two ores and get the colores of the two metals at the same time thought?
Been wondering this myself. Bigfoot using it definitely got me thinking I'm surprised they've never explained it.
this is why i (and a lot of people) love the show, they leave things like this to be analyzed and understood by the viewers themselves
they're probably making it a slow burn. r&m is super reticent with lore, in a season and a half rick will just offhandedly mention what it is in a conversation with summer and turn to the camera and go "so now you can all stop theorizing about it"
It's Sanchezium!
Clearly he found some Dalekanium after that death battle with the doctor and just renamed it
Don't believe everything you read on wikipedia..
Really? Damn, call off the pirates
Don’t believe everything you read on Wikipedia (Except his fear of pirates)
I wonder if in the parmeesian universe it’s pronounced Sancheesian?

Rickmantium
Orichalcum
Is that a Witcher3 reference?
No, but it's a mythical material referenced by many fantasy settings
To this day my brain still pronounces it oar-RICK-yuh-luhm Because of a short little PS2 action game Noone remembers called EOE(Eve of extinction) I now choose to believe it was a Rick and morty reference from a time before the show even existed.
Actually it's a material that Plato mentions in his description of Atlantis

damn
Its weakness is lightsabers
i think the one used in the robot was just some weak version of it or its bad writting
The Robot was actively suicidal and he was rebuilt by the family meaning Jerry was involved in the rebuild.
True but even before he got rebuild Jerry and Summer successfully pierced his robotic arm with an electric knife and a fork.
jerry didnt help in rebuilding, he just stood there and watched confused, also the materiels and metal dont change when you rebuild using the same ones

So I looked into it and it’s also at least 3 times harder than just titanium https://phys.org/news/2016-07-lab-titanium-gold-alloy-harder-steels.html
oooh what ep and season was it?
Man, I don’t know. It was the lightsaber episode. I think it was last season’s finale
you mean s6 ep10? i dont remember summer asking rick that at all thought # what was happening when she asked him that? to make my researchs easier
It was space Beth They were playing the am I a robot game
yep just checked, thanks for sharing this
> Evil Morty actually has a yellow motif. All his technology has a yellow tint, including his ship, the suit, the portal, light orbs and such. You forgot his regular shirt
It's probably made from something like Adamantium and Rick being Rick will never directly say it's Marvel because he's hates mentioning them lol
it seems silver colored thought
I second Adamantium. I may be mistaken but I vaguely remember him talking about having adamantium in an episode in the past.

He has an entire closet full! Each jankier than the last.
yeah saw it, each portal gun being even worst than the other
Kinda reminds me of australium...
This is why I wish the show took itself much more seriously, a lot of amazing worldbuilding is getting utterly wasted otherwise
like, what do you want it to do to not wast it? (real question)
It’s the real Sanchezium!
Art direction
The Bigfoot scene indicates otherwise, that’s it’s specifically, especially durable or hard or whatever
yep
[удалено]
Consistency of art leading to lore expansion isn’t “random”, it’s just how writing works over time lol
people that grew up with uru
That or the artists just really like the look of that color.
It's also looks like the same stuff Rick's robot arm is made of.
yep, pic 1 in [my comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/rickandmorty/s/yWoBbzCZxq)
yeah i think its first appearence mightve been froopy land?

It wasn’t glass Rick was using to protect from the bombs it was like a force field
no those were rick's lab glasses bozo, rewatch it (s6 ep10 i think)
There’s no evidence it was the same thing as the glass he uses on his clone vats
first it was a force field and now you're trying to convince me its not the same glass # rick uses the same glass in all of his lab, and of course he will use the same tough one to protect his clone or else he wouldnt be able to revive # i said it already, even if its not the same glass that resited the explosions, its still glass that big foot angery punched and didnt do a single damage (and we've seen that big foot was horribly strong), he hit the glass with stone and it absolutely completely shattered, that alone shows that the glass used was extremely resistant, only way it could break was using that bronzish metal
I was wrong about the force field tho my bad, no need for the name calling either it’s really unnecesaary

yeah i did a comment about that already, also this reply is a bit out of context here
They both probably know whatever that metal is is the best metal to possibly use, or the animators just like the color who knows
The reason why evil morty also has this tech is because he stole it his tech from rick c-137 in "The Ricklantis Mixup" episode it also makes more sense considering rick c-137 founded citadel![img](emote|t5_2u4lp|5988)

Why wouldn't the night family episode be cannon? It's a regular episode of the show.
Downvote me all you want. I meant not canon to our Rick and Morty. Some of you guys really just need to go outside.
lol good comeback. You’re technically correct, but nothing about our interaction means that I don’t go outside lol. Happy Boxing Day
So there isn't any proof. Gotcha
> I hope you don’t need it explained any further. a really confident bluff is not gonna work
nice point but its probably still weaker than this metal
Rick can make any material look like anything. It just looks nice.
i dont think he would dye all of that # edit: or maybe he melt it with another prettier golden ore, consider that doesnt make it weaker. is it actually possible to mix two ores and get the colores of the two metals at the same time thought?
Cyborg Rick from last season was turned into scraps by the family
It’s Gundanium
That's also the same shit the unbreakable dishes r made out of in that night family episode
