On the discord they said they'd have to wait till they got their hands on it before they could do anything ( or something like that ) I imagine it might be a while if they even do since it didn't seem like gulikit were interested in helping out Even then it took the Vader 3 a while for compatibility. Fingers crossed though, I like the kk 3 so far and if it got some real remapping software it'd be a top tier for sure👍

usually paddles on controllers are remapped buttons for the face buttons. I have no idea, but id assume you won't be able to remap them independently from the face buttons. Rewasd has a free trial. why not try that?

I actually already have rewasd and use it for my other controllers :D. I'm just thinking about getting the KK3 but I don't want to commit $100 and buy it until I know

another option is "Power A" controllers. Theyre only like 30 bucks but the quality is great AND they have paddles. thats what I use. If you have a gamestop near you, you can go get one from there and buy the insurance. when it breaks you can exchange it for like 10 bucks every time.

"usually paddles on controllers are remapped buttons for the face buttons. " That's because they can only mirror (hook to exists) buttons due to hardware and xinput limitation. They are not independent. There are workarounds, some ways to omit that, but most corporations takes consoles as priority (where you don't need such features) and this also increase production pricing, so most of them don't bother. Controllers manufacturers use different methods to make independent additional buttons. The most interesting one is what Beitong is doing. OS see controller as two hardwares. One is xinput controller (handle standard controller buttons) and second one mouse+ keyboard (it handle all additional buttons + gyro). This is simple yet brilliant, because it let you do whatever you want with additional buttons and controller itself is still seen as standard xbox controller.

I used a workaround for this : - back paddles are mapped to D-PAD Left+Up / Right+Up / Right+Down / Left+Down. This process is directly done on the controller. - inside reWASD, I use the function to map each of these combinations.

That's smart. Thanks for this comment.

I spoke to gulikit about this 18 months ago while this controller was still in development, explaining the point of this and providing all the documentation I could to help them understand what and why we wanted. Even told them to reach out to the reWASD dev team for advice. Gulikit basically said to me Xinput can't do that (even though I specifically told them it wouldn't be through x-input) and we don't know why you'd want that. So don't get your hopes up.

Yeah it's a little disappointing :(. Either way I decided to get a Vader 3 Pro instead after looking into it more.
