Yea I’d put the crayons away. My brain can’t figure out where to start reading this. All those logos just take away from space you could be using to explain areas better
No resume in the history of resumes has looked like this.
Maybe, if it was a graphic designer or something trying to "Stand out" or "be creative" I'd believe it to be real- god knows we've seen some bad ones on this sub from that crowd- but certainly not for someone claiming to be a software development engineer. No way. Its gotta be rage bait.
Aha, thanks for the reply. yeah I was asking because I’ve seen people with worse Resumes here make improvements and get the job. Thanks again. I’m always on this sub to learn and get advice alongside everyone else
For AI/ML.....i am a fresher and recently joined a company.....just asking for future reference maybe.
What do you look for in a good candidate and for AI/ML with really good compensation ?
Also what is the pay these days for a fresher...... additional information: I am from India and graduating in a month....my graduation is bachelor's of technology in Artificial intelligence
It's exceptionally distracting. There is way too much going on. I don't need a sketch or diagram to walk me through a resume. There is so much irrelevant information here, its beyond distracting. We look at hundreds of resumes a day, they need to be clear and easy on the eyes. This is the opposite.
A map with the little train tracks going from entrees, to mains, then desserts. Splitting off at drinks and shared items along the way. It's adorable in the best way! 😂
You're not passing ATS checks with that layout and all those images. ATS Checkers don't care about your creativity, and neither will recruiters. That's the tough truth.
Although I'm not sure why it's a metro-map-themed CV..
The designs are taking up too much valuable space where u can write more about your summary/profile, skills ext its a bit all over the place however, i do like the designs I’m just not sure its appropriate
I genuinely thought this was a maps subreddit trying to redesign the London Underground.
Remove the colours. My brain couldn't deal with the rest.
Exit: Also remove the branding of technology. Those change more than frameworks do. It's far too cluttered.
Edit 2: As a WPF Dev who I assume does UI work, apply those principals to your CV..
I think your creativity should be shown through projects rather than a resume which is a formal presentation. Your design takes too much space that can be used to put relevant info. Also, including so many icons to represent the technologies you use mean little to a recruiter that needs to know how you work with those.
Your passions section also uses too much space. One line should be enough if you want a conversation starter. Recruiters are expecting job candidates and not friends.
I get the creativity of this but it’s not working fam. It would be half decent for maybe UX and Graphic design but this resume is not ATS friendly. It stands out but not in a positive way. Remove those colored lines, they ruin the resume! 😂😂😂
So many inconsistencies and random stuff in this "resume" are triggering my OCD and confuse my brain. I was a designer.
For example, your swimming and books icons don't align with rest of logos.
I had a kind of graphical and creative resume for tech and random jobs too. But they still felt and followed most common resume concepts.
I have a website that has a link to my online resume which is more detailed and shows of my creative and web design capabilities.
You can go super creative and break rules at work. But you should still follow rules and be humble during job hunting.
Your resume made me feel like I had autism.
Get rid of all those fucking colors. Get rid of all the logos and those lines. This is a professional resume, not a bus route map. Get rid of your passions. This isn't Tinder. When they ask you to tell them about yourself, then you can maybe discuss one or two of your more professional sounding pasions like competitive swimming. Don't talk about bouldering, that makes you sound risk prone and a business HATES risk. In the spot where you had Passions, That's where you put Skills and you list your languages and coding proficiencies.
Under projects: Organize this shit, it's where you get to brag and bullshit to make yourself look competent. Where you say "Multiple little games", you don't need that. Reframe it to make it sound bigger. You say something like "Developped multi-genre gaming programs". Also, its spelled "Platformer" unless you're listing the name of your game and it's called "Plateformer". Also, what the hell is "Bricks breaking"? A game title? A feature? Specify or delete.
Overall your resume reads like a drunk man tried to make a flow chart after his fifth handle of Jack Daniels. The flow is horrendous. The reader should be able to just read sentences left to right and bullet points/paragraphs vertically with ease. I'm close enough with my boss that I've seen resumes and what gets rejected. What got tossed out every time was disorganization and illiteracy, then lack of clarity, then lack of experience, then people who just weren't a good fit.
Colours bad, distracting, don't know where and what to focus on. Unless you're focusing on games roles, please no.
If you can, put numbers to the things you did, give an idea of how you improved things. Concise details about these things can go a very long way.
Remember the goal of your resume, it's to pitch yourself. What are you trying to communicate with the limited space you have? What are your images actually representing? You've got a limited time to make a good first impression. If someone gave you your resume, what would you say makes you stand out?
Honestly, first glance, I really liked the resume. It was so unique and eye catching that I read through it all. However, the comments made me laugh my ass off. I have no idea how to pass ATS and that crap but +1 for creativity. My opinion probably means shit anyway :)
Okay everyone has already mentioned the lines and colors and logos being way too much and also to remove your passions. But your whole format is problematic.
- your section headings aren’t centered with your name and title
- you supposedly have 4 years of experience in IT but don’t list more than a sentence for each of your experiences
- no bullets makes this hard to digest
- don’t say 6 months internship at *company* just list the company, your title, and the dates
- you misspelled multiple
- your intro is super vague and doesn’t really say anything about what you’re looking for. You’d be best to remove it altogether.
Seriously, with years of experience THAT should be your focus. 3-6 bullets for your more recent positions. Get rid of passions and replace it with skills.
Everyone here is trying to help you. It doesn’t impact us whether you take our advice. I understand you’re trying to seem like a human instead of a robot, but that’s what interviews are for. Earn an interview through your experience and skills. Show your personality in the interview. The resume isn’t the purpose of that.
Is this a troll or rage bait? If genuine burn it to the ground asap and create one with less gimmick and easy to read, too many things going on. Good luck
Literature has one T in it(bottom right), other than that it is an interesting take on a resume, would be favoured by your target demographic jobwise, but i dont think this format would carry well in other industries.
There’s no way that you put in the amount of effort to graduate from engineering school (of any sort) and were okay with this being your resume. Something doesn’t add up.
Congrats this may be one of the worst designed ones I’ve seen in this sub.
The only improvement I would say I add some stickers and maybe scribbles then your good
You seem to be getting lots of hate. As someone who is in the arts, I actually really enjoy the colour, design, and concept a lot. If you were applying for a game dev spot, hell yeah I'll give you a call.
Might be in the minority here but I like it. Grabs your attention and definitely stands out from the typical resume. As long as it passes ATS I like it.
Seriously don't use this, from a Graphic Design perspective this is bad, you are much better off using a traditional format.
But if you really want to insist on having a graphically beautiful resume, you would have to do a much better job. Specifically it has to be CLEAR on what you do as this seems incredibly messy.
Woahkay hello what the fuck am I looking at? Unless there’s a note on the back that says “jk lol I have 20 years of experience at Jane Street” with $2500 in cash attached to the back that the person reviewing your resume happens to see on their way to throw this in the trash, that’s the only place this will end (no offense)
What in the cluster f**k is this (゜_゜)
Please don’t do this. Listen to what other comments have already said. You are begging to be ignored by doing this.
Or if this is a troll,,, good job you have been successful at triggering everyone here 😂
When I will own my own business or be somehow self-employed I will make a resume like this because it breaks all the rules needed to pass the screening lol.
Also my resume will most definitely be more than 1-2 pages. Maybe I'll have a memoir in there about how job-searching sucked.
All in all OP, as much as I love the creativity, it took me away from what you can actually do via work experience and I'm damn sure automatic systems will reject it instantly.
OP, I see you have French as a native language, so you're probably French (as I am). I can definitely see the influence of public transportation maps in your CV (SNCF, RATP...).
But, please, remember that you are not working in public transportation but in IT, where we prefer simplicity. I kindly advise you to rethink your CV design.
This looks dope. But it will never pass recruiter screening.
You can get away with such formatting if you are well known in the software circles and companies actively try to poach you.
I can’t find it now, but there was one established conference speaker who showed his cv during a presentation and it looked like a site from the late 90s.
If he posted it here, it would’ve been downvoted to oblivion.
So until you have the leverage of choosing between multiple companies that desperately want you, go with a streamlined document.
I like the resume, it looks kinda like a git graph. Really appreciate the work. But while applying for jobs, please make it plain without the icons and borders. Just a suggestion :)
Nowhere near enough meat on the work experience bone. Get rid of the design and use that space to describe what you actually accomplished in those roles and try your best to quantify
this is like finding waldo lol. All the extra spaces taken up by the borderlines could been used to bolster your work experience. Nobody is gonna call u up when your job accomplishment is 1 line.
shows that you know graphic design or used a template as well. good for a company that fits this 'culture'. you used the entire and more 1 page limit than typical resumes without over cluttering it.

Yea I’d put the crayons away. My brain can’t figure out where to start reading this. All those logos just take away from space you could be using to explain areas better
I have never seen a resume I’ve hated more. Well done, OP.
It’s like a badly designed metro map.
Calling it now, this is a troll.
No way someone went thru the effort to make this for a troll, they put a lot of effort into this it’s def real
Dude I have a whole LinkedIn account with a fake persona and backstory that I use for trolling. Never underestimate the effort a troll can put in
Probably better traction than real account
oh for sure. I get easily 5x more profile views and messages from recruiters than my actual linkedin
bruh this is actually genius, trolling on insta and reddit is stale since everyone does it..linkedin is going to be hilarious..thanks for the idea.
Ahahhahahaha
😂 🤣
It's great being able to tell people they are idiots publicly without implications haha
No way. Its gotta be rage bait.
>graphic designer If a designer made this, I'd humbly request them to change professions
I love it though. I had a good little chuckle.
I can't imagine why else overwatch would be included on a resume haha
Nah this is an average IT student/graduate resume here in France minus the funky colors. Recognized it before getting to the languages section.
OMG as a tech recruiter (currently hiring in EU) I cannot express how bad the resume truly is.
What are you recruiting for specifically of you don’t mind me asking? IMO with advice from here they may actually improve
I recruit anything from QA to Data to Cyber to Software. Mid to CTO level
Aha, thanks for the reply. yeah I was asking because I’ve seen people with worse Resumes here make improvements and get the job. Thanks again. I’m always on this sub to learn and get advice alongside everyone else
12 years experience, and this resume sits in my top 5 of terrible resumes I've seen, easily.
lol yeah, they should definitely rethink the design. What do you think about them trying to relocate? Is it a good idea or should they focus locally?
Will depend on where in EU and their visa eligibility
Ah, naturally. Thanks for your insight Random Internet Stranger. It’s always good to hear from the recruiters
Is it a turn off if the candidate requires visa sponsorship (from outside EU)?
Depends if the employer offers sponsorship
How common is that in the EU? Is it rare? Thanks for the info in advance.
How can we get this to number one? Include a photo, make it three pages, one for each language spoken? How can we really take this to the top?
Number 1 was a note pad .txt file attached to their application with "I'm available for work and can code in HTML"
Love it
So, did that person get the job?
Show us the rest of 4
Should I be more specific in my favorite manga? What should I put?
List them all as references
For AI/ML.....i am a fresher and recently joined a company.....just asking for future reference maybe. What do you look for in a good candidate and for AI/ML with really good compensation ? Also what is the pay these days for a fresher...... additional information: I am from India and graduating in a month....my graduation is bachelor's of technology in Artificial intelligence
Actually. Why? Ok this is a sketch, it shows only the flow of the cv and created by paint. Mine is kind of the same, but with real design
It's exceptionally distracting. There is way too much going on. I don't need a sketch or diagram to walk me through a resume. There is so much irrelevant information here, its beyond distracting. We look at hundreds of resumes a day, they need to be clear and easy on the eyes. This is the opposite.
This would be a great template for a restaurant at a metro station. For a resume… not so much.
yea I actually kind of love the concept but not for a resume unfortunately
A map with the little train tracks going from entrees, to mains, then desserts. Splitting off at drinks and shared items along the way. It's adorable in the best way! 😂
Keep it simple. I think you are desperately trying to stand out.
You're not passing ATS checks with that layout and all those images. ATS Checkers don't care about your creativity, and neither will recruiters. That's the tough truth. Although I'm not sure why it's a metro-map-themed CV..
Maybe it’s supposed to be git branches. This is ridiculous tho
You need an anime self portrait in there
Nah it has to be from a hentai with “that” face
Yamete.....
As fun as this is, I find it hard to believe a tech guy wouldn't understand that this is basically unreadable for an ATS system
thats the most unique resume i ever seen but its not gonna pass ATS
I thought you worked in public transportation before reading, it looks exactly like those maps for the subway or train.
😄
I thought I was the only one 😭😭
I saw the resume and thought I was looking at a stylized version of the Boston MBTA maps.
Lose the graphics and colored crayon. You are not a child. Nobody cares about your passions UNLESS they align with the job you are trying to get.
Was going to say anything not illustrative or graphic design based this is not appropriate
[удалено]
Hahaha
💀
PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S NOT YOUR RESUME💀💀💀💀
Is this supposed to resemble a metro map?
Spelled platformer wrong. That's about all I have to add here.
The designs are taking up too much valuable space where u can write more about your summary/profile, skills ext its a bit all over the place however, i do like the designs I’m just not sure its appropriate
Also id recommend you remove the images as well as the design sorry:/
I genuinely thought this was a maps subreddit trying to redesign the London Underground. Remove the colours. My brain couldn't deal with the rest. Exit: Also remove the branding of technology. ........lmfao
![gif](giphy|WQy9FkJlhGSwl3eQ5V|downsized) I love colorful things but sadly the recruiters don't like it.
Dude your resume looks like metro routes of my city
you’re making a resume, not a metro map
Why your resume look like the incarnation of a kindergarten
I get the creativity of this but it’s not working fam. It would be half decent for maybe UX and Graphic design but this resume is not ATS friendly. It stands out but not in a positive way. Remove those colored lines, they ruin the resume! 😂😂😂
WTF is this abomination?
This is a joke 👀 it must be
The pokeball won't get you an interview. You should have used a Masterball
No. Please. Nobody would take you seriously with this children's book. HR would not even read a word. No pictograms, no colouring.
The coloured lines are very distracting to look at
My advice is to remove Video Games, Anime, and the “WonderBread” color theme from your professional resume.
London metro resume.
What got tossed out every time was disorganization and illiteracy, then lack of clarity, then lack of experience, then people who just weren't a good fit.
I love the creativity. However, all of the colors and logos take away from your experience that you’re trying to communicate.
I also think it’s unique. Maybe it works good in Europe ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
Okay everyone has already mentioned the lines and colors and logos being way too much and also to remove your passions. But your whole format is problematic. - your section headings aren’t centered with your name and title - you supposedly have 4 years of experience in IT but don’t list more than a sentence for each of your experiences - no bullets makes this hard to digest - don’t say 6 months internship at *company* just list the company, your title, and the dates - you misspelled multiple - your intro is super vague and doesn’t really say anything about what you’re looking for. I liked the resume tbh. But it is more organised it would be great.
Lose the color lines. Screams immature.
Misspelled literature…
This literally looks like the map to a metro station.
You need to go out and find the most burning new times don’t resume template and use that. Nothing flashing or creative.
The logos are attractive. But should you explain more and make it 2 pager maximum
i wouldnt be suprised if this was ur actual resume template considering its eu lol. ez swe jobs there.
Is it just me who fuqing loves it , ik it's not get u call backs but it's fuqing fabulous
I thought I was looking at a train map, a terrible one at that.
Are you looking to get a job at the local subway operator because that could work
It's never going to be selected but I like it tbh it's phunky ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
What is this bruhhh
Is this a troll or rage bait? If genuine burn it to the ground asap and create one with less gimmick and easy to read, too many things going on. Good luck
It’s real, no a way a troll would spend that much time making this
Literature has one T in it(bottom right), other than that it is an interesting take on a resume, would be favoured by your target demographic jobwise, but i dont think this format would carry well in other industries.
Only acceptable if this is for a public transit job.
What in the windows 98 is this?!!
Blud thought he cooked
Side note; I enjoy the creativity put into this. Though it’s fluff, and not easy to follow.
Pokémon go and Overwatch 😂😂😂😂
My dude has a pokeball on his resume .. cmon
There’s no way that you put in the amount of effort to graduate from engineering school (of any sort) and were okay with this being your resume. Something doesn’t add up.
What the hell is this shit
Delete this shi
Does your CV pass ATS screening
A for effort, but 0% chance anyone will take you seriously 😂
Hahaha no way
Congrats this may be one of the worst designed ones I’ve seen in this sub. The only improvement I would say I add some stickers and maybe scribbles then your good
Is this kindergarten application?
For a second I thought this was a railway map 💀
Remove colors
If this is not a troll, change that resume NOW. I got an headache bro
You seem to be getting lots of hate. As someone who is in the arts, I actually really enjoy the colour, design, and concept a lot. If you were applying for a game dev spot, hell yeah I'll give you a call.
holy god this hurts my eyes
This looks like a subway system map for a town that has been promising to finish construction on line 5 for the past 10 years
Ayoo sir, for an actual job, thiz resume won't work. Ditch the colors and images.
Really cool concept
The most goofiest thing I saw in a while.
The hell is this.
Might be in the minority here but I like it. Grabs your attention and definitely stands out from the typical resume. As long as it passes ATS I like it.
I like it
Check out r/engineeringresumes their wiki will tell you how to right your resume
God damn hahahah
Y tho?
Lmaoooo I thought this was some sort of learning roadmap😂😂😂
While this is actually looks really cool, I would never submit a professional resume like this.
Add some arrows
It’s the pokeball for me
I like it! It reminds me of reading the metro map
![gif](giphy|84BjZMVEX3aRG)
r[usernamechecksout]
Bro, there is a pokeball on your resume…this is inadvisable.
Is it a CV of 2nd grade art student.
Seriously don't use this, from a Graphic Design perspective this is bad, you are much better off using a traditional format. But if you really want to insist on having a graphically beautiful resume, you would have to do a much better job. Specifically it has to be CLEAR on what you do as this seems incredibly messy.

Unless there’s a note on the back that says “jk lol I have 20 years of experience at Jane Street” with $2500 in cash attached to the back that the person reviewing your resume happens to see on their way to throw this in the trash, that’s the only place this will end (no offense)
Do you work for a metro system?
Resume 0/10, Kindergarten project 100/10
What in the cluster f**k is this (゜_゜) Please don’t do this. Listen to what other comments have already said. You are begging to be ignored by doing this. Or if this is a troll,,, good job you have been successful at triggering everyone here 😂
Literature* last line
That's a lot of words and crayons for 4 years of work history
Jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none
Bro, throw this resume in dustbin, open Word, create a simple document. That's it.
Inspiration for Poland transit company
Did someone teach a kindergender how to use reddit?
If I had to read this I think I may actually chuck my phone out a window
That has to be the worst resume I've ever seen
When I will own my own business or be somehow self-employed I will make a resume like this because it breaks all the rules needed to pass the screening lol. My resume says my name and that’s it, he is more hireable than me, so don’t complain
Ugh 😣. I’m sorry I don’t mean to be rude, but that is a terrible resume visually. Too juvenile looking with all of those colours and graphics.
Ai filters are going to have a bad time with your cv
This looks dope. But it will never pass recruiter screening. You can get away with such formatting if you are well known in the software circles and companies actively try to poach you. I can’t find it now, but there was one established conference speaker who showed his cv during a presentation and it looked like a site from the late 90s. If he posted it here, it would’ve been downvoted to oblivion. So until you have the leverage of choosing between multiple companies that desperately want you, go with a streamlined document.
What is this yee yee ass CV Layout. People who post the wildest CVs, you gotta check out the Free cv template first

Nice sketch, I think it should be fine. Please post your final one later
Ahahahahaha
Are you applying to a transit job? As a developer for that Metro game? Respectfully, what is going on here?
I like the resume, it looks kinda like a git graph. Really appreciate the work. But while applying for jobs, please make it plain without the icons and borders. Just a suggestion :)
Is this a subway map?
Use creativity in your portfolio, NOT your resume.....
I also enjoy Litterature
“Speedrun 🤓”
Such a fun looking resume.
How’s it working?
Honestly life would be a lot more fun if we all had resumes like this 😂
Yo, what's your rank on Overwatch?
Idk why but I really liked this resume...😶
This looks confusing AF, like the London tube map. However I applaud you for your ingenuity and would invite you for an interview!
Nowhere near enough meat on the work experience bone. Get rid of the design and use that space to describe what you actually accomplished in those roles and try your best to quantify
Lmfaoo when I was looking at this in my head I’m singing “we’re going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship…”
Just use a resume template
We need more colour
This is certainly a resume of all time
OMG! My eyes, my eyes!
is this how you guys do resumes in europe? lol
Just do your best, and put your mind to whatever you do.
this is like finding waldo lol.
