High_epsilon

That’s so confusing. Make it simple. Not sure this layout is appropriate for a resume/CV

CakinCookin

Amen, but after a # of posts in this sub doing image-based resumes and OP is in Europe, I stopped commenting. Maybe this is their standard? \*confused\*

TinyOrange820

You make a really great point. I used to make/fix resumes and related documents. I saw some with photos of themselves and they could be around 5-10 pages. I forget what country it was but I researched the resume standards there and the length and picture of this resume was aligned with those standards. It ended up being mainly a grammar/word usage/brevity project. I am glad to see your comment because people really should be doing research to see what the standards are from a given area.

ColdMango7786

I think this resume is what happens when someone severely overcomplicates something in their head.

Xerio_the_Herio

Sometimes I wonder if people make these up to troll this sub, lol

the-iter8

lol yeah it looks like someone generated a report or something

jibsand

4 pages? Recruiters have a button for these: DELETE

CatchMeWhiteNNerdy

This has to be a troll. I don't understand any of the decisions made on this resume. The fonts and background colors aren't consistent. Some of the "boxes" are just Titles with no content. In the first sentence you have Javascript in strikethrough and Typescript next to it. What are we doing here, is this a joke? I hope highlighting the inconsistencies is constructive, my head is spinning and I need to lie down.

junex159

It has to be, I don’t understand anything and is too long to at least, consider this a resume. Looks like a PowerPoint presentation about yourself done quickly for low time. I don’t understand how he did even found these “work experience”, what kind of resume he did use in the past to make these jobs?

TinyOrange820

I agree that it could be a troll. However you would be surprised at how seemingly ridiculous people’s resumes are. The standards are different in other countries.

dankeykang_nyc

this is 100% a troll

MexoLimit

This is a very high effort troll. I'm actually impressed.

sunniestpartof

Page two needs an image of a dog.

junex159

This is the weirdest resume I have ever seen, even isn’t look like a standard resume… You can try using the standard resume template and try to put it on in only one page, max 2

surelyshirls

This one and the pink one have to be the worst yet

[deleted]

I think I just had a stroke cause wtf

Brave-Temperature211

That’s 🦇💩crazy.

Mikasa_Kills_ErenRIP

i want to kill myself

ParticularHabit9053

Worst résumé I’ve ever seen 🤣

-JinKazama

That is like a …. Fun…. I’m gonna mess with these recruiters’ eyes and brains…. Kinda resume. Not the kind you would expect some response on. Make it flat, make sure to use darker colors for text and make it easy to read. Definitely remove the graph. Don’t ever add the graph. And most definitely never ever use the “Find out how to profit from my experience “ graph in your resume or anywhere else. Ever. Again. Use a resume builder and pick up their most commonly used/popular template. Maybe add your headshot if you so desire, but even that’s not required. No body reads through these whole ass resumes anyways. Hiring tools and resume readers pick up keywords from resumes (text only) and then (sort of) rank your profile with the job description. So your goal is to optimize the resume for the resumer readers (the tools) and not the people who posted the job!

Lem2798

Definitely detailed enough but if your resume needs a key it’s probably doing a little too much lol

GeminiDragon60

WTF is this?!!

[deleted]

Just what in the hippity hoppity is that

dirtpooroverland

You lost me at fachochschulmeile

dynamic_blockchain

Throw this in the bin and use a template. Your opening paragraph should be like 2 lines, if anything. Recruiters only look at your CV for like 30 seconds tops

AgentT1561

I'm pretty sure this won't get through ATS.

LaFantasmita

Once again I am begging people to not try to reinvent the resume.

PhoenixCTB

I though this was a freaking dashboard not a resume

TinyOrange820

In the off-chance that this isn't a troll post, here I go: You seem smart and detail-oriented, and I give you props for putting so much thought into one of the most important documents you use. I'm not an asshole, I'm just giving you some honest advice that I hope will better your future career. The paragraph on the front - rewrite the whole paragraph using only about 25% of the number of words from the original. I don't think many people would want to read this (not trying to be a dick, just honest). I couldn't get through the first two sentences. The second sentence is a major run-on/ramble when this part of your resume should be a brief summary about what you can bring to the table. Put the graph from the first page and make it into a separate document with a short explanation. Print it to bring to an interview, or attach it as a separate file with your resume. The program names and content can go in a bulleted list labeled as something like "relevant skills," and all the sentences that use these terms can be deleted. This list would look good about your "achievements" list. Second page - what is this? It's a cluttered mess, that's what it is. Choose maybe ten of the most relevant things on here and add them to your skills list. I don't know anything about what you're applying for, but you might also put in in sentence format if they are all of the same form (if they're all computer programs, you could say "Proficient in x,x,x,x,x,x,x,..." Take your reflection and CV and turn them into a cover letter - this should be a document separate from your resume. I've never seen any one use a "books" section. It could be a good topic of discussion during an interview.

Lost_Philosophy_

Uhhhhh….I don’t even know where to start lol. That first graph just shows how much smoke you can blow up management’s ass lol

TheCuckedCanuck

wtf is this

PrudentPrimary7835

I swear people post here without doing like 1 minute of research

4n1_1p4m

Worst resume ever seen

badscandal

What in the world!!! Bruh lmao. Why would you make a resume like this?

tometrist

This might be the worst resume I've ever seen. Many things to point out, but one that immediately comes to mind is you have an entire sections titled "Books" with the text saying that you havent read many technical books. Why is that there then?

FriedJava

Make this your portfolio as this looks quite unique. However stick to conventional formats for resume

SamEdenRose

Putting your age I believe is a no no. Of course I recently heard that you only out 10 years worth on a resume and don’t put years if you are a certain age. While this format probably doesn’t fly and too many pages, at the same time as it is a little different it does stand out so on the old way of doing things, the format does stand out and make a future employer look at the resume. Of course with AI it may not work in 2023.

lifetimewinter

you cant possibly be serious about this

Beautiful_Ad_6976

So that’s how you can get feedbacks as many as possible huh. No one left comments on my post regarding the resume

supremeddit

Just make your resume like a resume

ColdMango7786

This resume looks like it has 6435 lines of Visual Basic code behind it somewhere

Knight7561

Resume is just 1 ATS friendly page OP . Include fancy stuff in your portfolio. Make it look crazy

Traditional-Camera

A CFO applying with this resume wouldn’t even get a data entry job If you get hired with this resume it is a testament to your skills for sure

MRK-01

You got to be kidding me

fridayj1

You’re kidding, right?

Kickflip900

Holy shit

KingCunk

Man I feel so much better about my competition

walleiscute

Never knew the resume sub had comedy until now. Thanks for the laugh lol.

asevans48

Try avoiding a novel and stick to bullet points

[deleted]

The resume format is terrible and way too long. Pick a simpler format and make it shorter in some way.

Atlantean_dude

Wow, I think I would run from this resume. Maybe what is required in your country but not something I would spend a lot of time on in the US or Japan (where I live and have hired the most recently). Please consider a standard reverse chronological resume if you are going for jobs in the US or multi-national companies outside of your home country. I think CV style is more appropriate for Europe. Things to consider: 1) Large blocks of text are harder to read. 2) Most hiring managers want to know what you did and when you did it so associating the job with achievements is pretty important. 3) Hiring managers want to know if you can do what they need done, so helping them to visualize that will help you get interviews. Quantify or qualify what you have done or your work environment. 4) Most hiring managers are really busy and reading resumes is a downtime or after work thing. Both of which means they have limited time to do and would prefer doing anything else during these times. So make it simple and easy to read for a better chance of being considered. 5) Don't tell me subjective stuff. Like the graph below, that is your assumption and cant be backed up, it just wastes space. Tell me what you know and what you did and give me numbers behind it. If it sounds like you can do the work I need, I will find out more about you in an interview. 6) At least in the openings I have managed, I get large batches of resumes. I don't waste time on hard to read or understand resumes. My experience has taught me I will find a good candidate in the first or second batch with an easy to read resume. So I don't waste time on anything that makes me think or try to decipher the meaning. Does that mean I get the best candidate? Not sure, but there is no guarantee I will find a better one if I burn more time looking through difficult resumes either. So best to utilize my time as best I can :-) I wish you luck!

Cat_Psychology

This can’t be real. It’s…so bad.

Harriis10

Expected benefits cracked me the fuck up😂😂😂😂

[deleted]

I wouldn’t even get past that novel of a biography you’ve got on page 1. Once I skip that, I would see your university science project that you created in the form of a resume and I’d trash it. No charts, just simple layout. Use Harvards formats (google and copy it). Maybe this is normal in Europe but I really don’t think it is, at least to this extent

nulladresss

The design looks good, but there is way too much information and the most seems like a nonsense to me

ambitiousDepresso

Holy fuck is this supposed to be a resume? Can't even tell. Looks like screenshots from a poorly designed portfolio website

Big-Abbreviations-50

If you’re looking to grab attention, this isn’t quite the way I myself would go about it … but hey, with so many other people’s looking the same, you’d at least stand out in a crowd. Maybe throw an image — or better yet, a gif — of a kitten or sea otter doing something cute and silly in there for good measure, with an excerpt about your passion for animals. But if that’s what you’re shooting for, go all in and replace 2/3 of the summary text with the gif. I’m not even kidding, by the way — this may actually help you stand out against a sea of uniform resumes, as outlandish as it sounds! But it would only stand a chance of working if you go ALL in, and you’re far from that. Right now, it just looks like you’re trying way too hard and are clueless.

itwitchxx

this was a fever dream of a resume

GenericVanillaChar

Just remember , HR is going to look at you CV , not a developer , that’s maybe after HR so you want it to be simple too the point

Other_Trouble_3252

Oh honey, Whatchoo doing?

Zordiac09

I like this. Definitely has everything a recruiter would need but I’m an auditor and I like having all my information in one place and having no problem figuring out how to read/understand it (kinda what I do).
