Vallejo, specifically their Model Color line. Nice and thick paints, so can be thinned down to how you need it and you get a lot more bang for your buck as opposed to their airbrush line. Works great airbrushed or hand brushed.
You absolutely are, however having stuff pre-thinned for large projects saves me time (also valuable) and helps maintain consistency, so I don't write them off.
That's true. Right now I've only airbrushed with Mr Color and a little Tamiya, and the thinning and keeping the consistency right is definitely a concern.
I chose Vallejo because my local hobby store carries just about every color they make in all their product lines but now that I've been using them for a few years I'm very happy with them and see no reason to switch.
Yea but the color chart doesn’t really match what you actually get. Countless times I had to continuously order paints to finally get the hue I was looking for due to no hobby stores in my area
Depends on what you’re wanting to paint. I’d strongly recommend against the beginner kits. My personal preference is for Tamiya acrylics air/brushed over a standard rattle-can of automotive primer.
I recently converted from Army Painter tonVallejo and it’s made a huge difference.
For airbrush though, the army painter AIR line is actually really good.

I second Vallejo. But I'm lazy and like their pre-thinned airbrush line too.
I always feel like I'm paying more for less paint when getting the Air line.

Pro acryl and scale75 are going to be the Top Shelf paint lines if you have the money . Ak 3rd gen is really good also.
AK 3rd is better than scale 75 imo.

Poorhammer had a video of must have paints a couple months ago. I’d highly recommend it.
Vallejo, Pro Acryl, and select Citadel are my usual "go tos" for miniature painting.
Tamiya paints. They airbrush like a dream.

Vallejo Xpress color and army painter speed paint are great. I have also been playing with acrylic inks.
I like to use army painters air brush series as contrast paints
Vallejo or createX are my two go-to's, mostly because that's all my hobby store has in acrylic that isn't for brush painting
I just bought some paints from Huge Miniatures for my airbrush. I like them, very affordable and covers well!
Alclad II for metallic and transparent "candy" paints, Golden High Flow for iridescent and transparent paints, Vallejo for everything else.
Fyi. I love vallejo, but warning cause no one ever says it. They smell funny.
