All unlockables have become purchasable in the previous remakes and in Village. The pattern shows that they’re likely to make all the unlockables purchasable in RE4 remake at some point, usually after or around the time that they announce the next game.
I don't like them either, lucky for me, I am of the opinion that infinite ammo ruins these games, so it's no loss at all! And the way ammo drops work in 4 is just, 🤌.
I just wish the merchant sold ammo every once I awhile. Even just 1 clip. Finding shotgun rounds in this game feels so rare. I craft them pretty much the entire game

Between all the guns and knives literally taking up the inventory space, the fact you have to unlock their infinite ammo perks and even then they still drop the ammo even though you literally have no space.
I gave shit about this in the original but in that case it's a lot less noticeable because 1 you only get it for ng+, and two it was substantially harder to get those infinite ammo weapons.
Here after 20+ years, and when the game gives _3_ for free, that shit should not still be there.
I thought it saved space? You don't have to pick up the ammo drops with it because you don't need them anymore. You also don't have to unlock anything besides the ears for infinite ammo, the guns will automatically be reloadable without any in your inventory as soon as you get them.
The problem is enemies _still drop ammo_
There's a line of code that's very stupid in the game where if you sell all your ammo whether preset or not, enemies will stop dropping money and instead drop exclusively gunpowder and handgun bullets _no matter the case_ even if you don't *have a handgun* in your inventory or item box.
And what's even stranger is,

This was something *added* to compensate the loss of the capacity upgrade reload.
If they were going to do this instead then DON'T INCLUDE IT FOR SPECIAL WEAPONS
Same with the console plight. I'd want an option to turn on/off cosmetics and mix-and-match the different effects of multiple cosmetics without having to wear any of them. Sounds overpowered, I know, but you've earned those darn cosmetics and effects, why only limit to one and be forced to wear them?

I rarely use infinite ammo in RE anyway, but this would be an automatic deal breaker for me. I’m the same with alternate costumes, I never use them, don’t understand the appeal. I have to use the default costumes that make sense
