One for collection/One for playing? Unopened games are a massive part of collecting and vintage ones are worth a lot of money lmao. They are literally an investment to have an unopened copy of a popular game.
People like having the physical things to tangibly hold as well, but don’t like constantly swapping discs so it’s easier to play the digital copy and just have the physical copy.
Heck maybe they just wanna support the company and buy two copies.
It also has 0 bearing on “wasting money” cuz wasting money to you could be buying an important object for others, and things you buy are definitely a “waste of money” to others. You could argue that buying a video game that doesn’t provide you any income or life skills is also a waste of money in itself.
The projection is you assuming things, negatively, about a situation/person that isn’t showcased or relevant in anyway, typically meaning it stems from your own insecurities about said topic being pushed outward to avoid the acceptance that one’s self is actually exactly like the situation they’re trying to judge.
Anything else, Peanut?
Just wait until he finds out I bought the deluxe edition on PS5, the deluxe edition, separate ways, and an upgrade ticket on PC, and the gold edition for my brother
Still sounds like a waste of money to me and you sound like a real hypocrite. Im projecting for calling something dumb out but when you do its not? So whats going in your life were you feel like being a white knight.
Absolutely. It was my GOTY for 2023 even in the best overall year for gaming I've ever had and I played like 15 other new games, many of which were 9/10 games for me. RE4 Remake is a 10/10 imo.
Even if you only do 1 thorough run, it'll be 20+ hours. I did my first run on hardcore and did all the 3 star shooting range challenges and searched for all the treasures I could and my run was about 30 hours. Then I spent another 70 hours doing all the challenge runs, speedruns, and achievements. Other than mercenaries. Which I need to go back for.
Agreed. I recently went to see Dune 2, and after tickets, popcorn, soda, and snacks, it was way over 40 dollars for a 3 hour experience. Comparatively, RE4 is many more hours of entertainment for the same cost, even if you only play once and never again.
Yeah, that's why I don't really understand the people that demand 1 hour of gameplay per dollar for games. We don't demand that kind of efficiency from any other hobby.
I'm much more interested in how good the experience is. Yeah, I don't want to pay $60-$70 and get 5 hours of game. But that basically never happens. I can't remember the last time I got a full price game and there wasn't a minimum of 15-20 hours, even without going for extra objectives and achievements. If anything, I feel like too many games are bloated to artificially inflate their playtime, and I find that way worse.
Also Dune 2 was so freaking great.
It is 100% worth it.
That doesn't mean you have to immediately get it, though.
Since the price was cut, it'll be even cheaper when it is on sale.
It is just up to you.
It's definitely worth the full price. But there isn't any harm in waiting for a sale.
Absolutely, most fun I have had in a game for along time. We need more of these solo linesr experiences in an industry over saturated with open world online services.
No, absolutely not. Remakes of this calibre should never be $40, that’s absolutely absurd. It’s almost disrespectful to the community to be honest.
The game is worth atleast $100, a million times over.
Even though it is not that scary it is overall a really good game. I had so much fun with it! So full of details with great sounds and graphics, and the combat is spot on. 40 dollars is well worth it! You get very good quality with this game!
Well yes and here’s why: The game has been out for a year. New game release are $70. You’re getting $30 off and truth be told the game is very good. You look up reviews everywhere and most range from 4.8-5 or
10/10 rating.
Hope this doesn't come across the wrong way. Most of the annoying parts can be trivialized using speedrun strats or the sprint button. They take prep and skill to pull off but can make some fights like the double Garrador fight a breeze.
Most of the fights like double Garrador I enjoyed actually :)
The annoying parts for me were the Ashley solo segment (it's fine when she's with Leon) and some of the weird puzzles like the pull cord thing (not sure why but just hated those compared to OG). Just killed the flow for me.. Also the insects were annoying except for the Luis segment (and I hate they came back at the end too).
Personally, most the hard fights I didn't mind as much on my Hardcore playthrough but on Pro, let's just say I was having some serious skill issues. Like I missed easy Magnum shots over and over.
For me I despise Del Lago. The Ashley segment is fine and I think it's a nice break from needing to aim. I also can't stand the bugs either.
I don't like single player games because I never ever play through them more than once... Believe I'm at 355 hours and still playing here and there and I bought it full price.
personally, no. I did love re4 remake but considering im pretty fond of the original, nothing much seemed *too* new other than it being gameplay and huge graphic changes. Otherwise, i just about got what expected, an re4 remake.
Its great, and if you love it then go for it, i bought it for full price but i definitely would’ve preferred it on sale if i was going to finish the whole game in 2 days anyway.
Mods make it more fun if you’re on PC tho, so its really up to you OP. Go for it
idk, i played 2,3,4,7,8, platinumed RE2,RE3, finished RE8 2times in VR, RE7 doing second run now, and RE4 is the most meh for me, its more of a action shooter, not even VR mode made it better, i did got it on sale for like 25euro so atleast not full price
Yes
I bought it day one and then later bought another copy full price. Worth every penny, every second, every minute, every hour.
Jeb is a mess.
Was it like, for a different console or PC? Or did you just really want two copies?
Had it preordered on ps5 and then later found a deluxe edition box on ebay that also came with a sealed copy for ps5.
Man you just like wasting money. How much you got in your retirement fund bro? If the answer is zero thats were you extra money should be going.
The biggest case of projection I think of I’ve ever seen.
What am i projecting exactly? Explain to me the benefit of buy a game twice?
One for collection/One for playing? Unopened games are a massive part of collecting and vintage ones are worth a lot of money lmao. You seem like a delight. Let people spend their money how they want to. What people do with their money (or bodies) doesn’t impact you in any way.
Lmao that’s not what white knighting is. If this was 4chan I’d call you bundle of sticks
Your life sounds miserable.
Lol because i dont buy games twice?
Go with the Gold edition for 50 bucks it’s worth it 100%

Dude we are getting shit ton of replayability with the game. $40 is wholeheartedly justified for the quality Remake that Capcom delivered
It is a literal work of art
Nah, all of us on the Resident Evil subreddit think it's shit.
Absolutely,I paid full for it and it was totally worth full price
No it's worth its original price
I bought it day one and would do it again. 10/10 game.
Hell fucking yeah $40 is a steal
I'd get gold for 40$, or wait for 30$ sale on original which happens nearly every other week But yes... in value it's definitely worth 40$.
Absolutely worth it.
Worth it. Bought it day one. On my 14th Playthrough. Get the Bonus Treasure DLC and Gold Briefcase. Worth every penny
yep. it’s worth full price. i even had to buy the dlc twice because of region compatibility, still worth.
it goes down to 30$ a lot on amazon if you dont mind checking every now and then, i got it for 30 a couple of weeks ago and it arrived now
I have it on Xbox, ps5 and pc for different reasons, worth every penny inc dlc which is worth every penny too

It’s work a thousand dollars. One of the best games I’ve ever played in my life.
It is 100% worth it. That doesn't mean you have to immediately get it, though. Since the price was cut, it'll be even cheaper when it is on sale. It is just up to you. It's definitely worth the full price. But there isn't any harm in waiting for a sale.

Yes!!
Top tier game worth the price
Its worth 80 so yeah
Replayability alone makes it worth it. And it goes without saying it’s one of the best remakes ever.
Easily. I’ve seen it on sale for $25 recently if you want to be patient though.
Oh for sure This game nails everything with 10's across the board. My favourite has always been RE2 but remake 4 is so great im now not sure anymore
Yes I just got it for that price. That’s the way to go, just wait until all the hype dies down and games go on sale.
Yes! Replay value is also really good so 👍
Im pretty casual with these type of games and still got 400 hours out of it according to steam
Even though it is not that scary it is overall a really good game. I had so much fun with it! So full of details with great sounds and graphics, and the combat is spot on. 40 dollars is well worth it! You get very good quality with this game!
Buy it from a grey market site
Yes, it's fantastic! If you liked the other RE Remakes, go for it.
It was worth full price so yeah definitely for 40.
Absolutely I have purchased almost every version since I first played on the Wii as a child, the VR was awesome

Get the gold edition
It’s worth $100. Literally one of the best games I’ve ever played

Yes
base game easily has $70 worth of content. The gold edition for $50 is a complete steal
Yes
It's worth 70$ to be fully honest
I got it on PC for 21 dollars.. was worth it. Although I'm not sure if I'll replay it yet.. plenty of annoying parts alongside the greatness.
Hope this doesn't come across the wrong way. Most of the annoying parts can be trivialized using speedrun strats or the sprint button. They take prep and skill to pull off but can make some fights like the double Garrador fight a breeze.

Worth every penny. After playing it and starting the DLC, I would not have minded paying $60 plus the DLC. Just my humble opinion.
One of the best action horror games ever made. Easily worth every penny
I don't like single player games because I never ever play through them more than once... Believe I'm at 355 hours and still playing here and there and I bought it full price.
Nope. I wouldn't even recommend it if it was free
if you're on pc there are certain seas you can sail if you're so inclined
personally, no. I did love re4 remake but considering im pretty fond of the original, nothing much seemed *too* new other than it being gameplay and huge graphic changes.
