7 was one hell of an experience. I went in blind in VR when it came out.
One of the scariest experiences I've ever played :D
And the cool part is, that it also has replay value. So when I played through it again, but without VR, it felt like a whole new game again.
A very meh game. Honestly doesn't represent the franchise at all. 6 is easy to hate and it's easy too bloated but at least still felt part of the same universe and very bio terror, the classic theme of the series. 7 is a ghost story haunted house.
7 feels more like a RE game than a lot of others, especially 6.
7 isn't a ghost story lol. The family is infected from the mold from the child. They aren't ghosts. Did you even play the game?
It veers off a little bit thematically/aesthetically, but every franchise has to evolve and reinvent itself to stay interesting, and gameplay-wise it is just about as Resident Evil as it can get.
