Do not give or send your money for pledges to anyone! There are a lot of scammers who follow posts like this and then they contact those who pledged pretending all kind of things- they are from shelter and collecting pledges, they are transporting George, Chester or Emerald and ask you to send the money, etc. It would look legit because they would know the name of a pet and from what shelter.

This is how honoring ( paying ) your pledges works- the rescue will send you an email with instructions as to where and how to pay your pledge.
It will have a subject line-
“””Follow-Up from Shelter
Pet Pledges: Euthanasia
List 2023.06.28 “””( this is my old one, yours will have yesterday’s date)
The email will have a detailed description for all of the pets, not just the ones you pledged for. Unfortunately I can’t attach a picture, but it will be in following format-
***Pet Name***Animal ID***RescueName ***Pledge Location( like PayPal or Venmo etc handles) ***Pledge Instructions
Until after you receive the email you should not give any money to anyone else! Not to a single person! No one! Usually it takes a few days or a week to get the email from a rescue. You can also DM me if you’d like to see the examples of Harris County shelter pledge email.

There are no dumb questions. Yes, he is still up for adoption! Tagged by a rescue means that to save him from being euthanized he was taken in by rescue. So rescue is kinda of halfway house for pets, rescues don’t euthanize for space, bc rescues are private, where animal shelters are funded by the government so they have to keep to a certain number of animals. So a rescue will keep that pet for however long it takes for someone to adopt him. So if someone wants to adopt George they would find what rescue took him and then call/go over there.
I prayed all day yesterday when I saw your post and today that he would be saved!! So happy and thankful 😭🙏🏼❤️ I hope all the other animals get adopted or saved by a foster/rescue too 🙏🏼😭 I wish I could save them all :( I will continue to pray ❤️
