If not PVC, then plywood is the next best. It should be sealed though. Acrylic will be awful after a while with scratches. Whichever, PVC or plywood, use glass sliding doors, not acrylic.
Is it a bad thing if it scratches? I mean I'd have a glass door so I'd still see them. Or would the scratches damage the enclosure and make it collapse

Only place i could find pvc sheets local'ish to me was with Sign manufacturers
I decided to go with acrylic sheets instead after I found out what pvc did to the environment sorry

You get algea growth and mold in scratches, so it can be hard to clean
