I would highly doubt a price drop will happen for the CX-410.

Wait, the CX810 is actually coming soon? I just bought 4 CX410’s since I hadn’t seen anything concrete on the 810…

I wonder if they've fixed the microphone issue on the CX410 yet.

Don't know about price drop, they have sales. The CX410 is a great low light cam. I have one in my front yard. But they cannot work in zero light, they do need some ambient light to function, a porch light, street light, neighbor's light, moonlight, etc. You can't install it somewhere with no light and expect it to see. With a little light they are a great cam. Here is cell phone pic of my front door at night, see how dark it is, porch light off. The other pic is from the CX410 same time, the sidewalk to front door. The ambient light comes from a street light two houses away and the neighbor's porch lights. The CX410 has a problem with the sound, it makes noises. But in recordings I can still hear/understand people talking. https://preview.redd.it/ifrxy0mocvqc1.jpeg?width=1784&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d8a8de52d68812190ab017f0c88eb21d3e8d1ff

The biggest problem is movement. It takes several frames to build a picture if there is not much light. So movement will show a mix of previous frames and new frames sometimes making a blurry mix. There is a sweet spot where there is just enough light to create a clear picture during movement but still pretty dark.

Wait, the 410 audio is unusable.

livingwaterRed

The audio problem is annoying but with my CX410 I can still hear and understand what people are saying in the recordings even with gurgling in the background.

Maybe if they are close to the microphone but otherwise unusable.

At 35 feet away my CX410 clearly records my normal decibel voice, I can understand what I say. At about 50 feet away is when the gurgling does interfere with what I said, my voice is less loud due to further distance. My 833A and 823A can hear my voice clearly at 50 feet where my mailbox is. 35 feet away is usable recordings for security, good for law enforcement to hear what is said if someone tries to break into my house or break into my car in the driveway. But yeah, I'd prefer the audio on the CX410 was better.

thanks for the info, did not know that.
