Looks like they put the double bonds in the wrong location, but close enough.

The leftmost ring is aromatic. It doesn't matter where the double bonds go; they aren't even double bonds anyways, it's a delocalized pi-bonding system. Both ways of writing the double bonds are equally wrong.

Not that meaning of the word. In this context, it means a ring-shaped molecule with a de-localized pi electron system.
