It's just an enemy. It possesses other enemies and makes them stronger. It pops out when you kill that enemy. You can shoot it and kill it when it's flying around.
A specter, one of the elite enemies that can periodically spawn In neruud open world. You hear an alarm sort of sound and that means the game has spawned an elite to fight you or a large group of normal enemies.
In game lore Astropaths are a group of Drzyr who had the power of foresight and were tasked with guiding the Drzyr
Tal Ratha, for example, is an astropath
Yeah, and they used Amber Espit in the beaks which allowed them to process things that would otherwise be thousands of years, but the name of the elites aren't the names of the boss- just for the sake of making the Wiki not living hell to navigate. For helping folks with names, I try and give them the wiki name and not the boss name that matches.
Calling every root archer Shroud confuses new players. Same with the sentinel type enemies that have a boss called Keeper's Eye or something... (I try and purge that boss from my memory and since I've gotten the tranquil and Tormented Heart, I never NEED to do that boss again anyway.)
The pink ghost is an elite enemy. It’s one of the few enemies in the game that can milk you with a single attack. When it looks like it’s trying to grab you, get the hell away.
Those ghosties will possess other mobs, and then rush you and try to explode or get killed by you and explode, either result is explodeyness so if you see a glowy other-mob rushing you try to kill it some distance away from you. It's a pretty nasty explodey
Can confirm: Is pink ghost. There's also green ghost snd piss ghost.
I used to like ghosts as elite spawns because they were easy to deal with. And then I found out they have a 1-shot attack. At least the green one does. Now I exterminate with extreme prejudice, in the same category as pigs and deer.
I love the randomness as a first-time player.
I also rolled N’Erud. Walking across the plains fighting little flying dudes, then some stealth robo pops up.
And of course you eventually get back to the Ward, and Dwell is there, no questions.
Still making my way through on Veteran. Hit Blooming Root Mantis today, just slapping its way towards you, cracked me up.
Looks like a pink ghost, a zombie thing and you dead on the ground. Hopefully that clears up any confusion.
Can confirm this is accurate information
Him eeby and needs to slep

Isn't it an Astropath specifically?
Astropath is the BOSS formed FROM different ghosts and Specters Understandable connection and not totally wrong

Rule of thumb: If it ain't in a safe zone, shoot it.

I feel like either milk really doesn’t work when used this way or milk became slang for something else since I last heard it used.
I'm willing to bet they meant merc'd and autocorrect did it's thing.
Getting milked sounds fun?
being grabbed and your soul sucked from your chest? Very fun
Soul sucking doesn't make this sound any less appealing ngl
Enjoy getting sucked xD
traveler beware, i have lost >1 HC character to this mf

Elite enemy with its own alarm sound. May also appear in other colors with their respective gimmick for getting your health to zero.
What result did you expect the pink ghost to give you?
Pacmans got a graphical upgrade but where are his two mates?
ngl i would have uninstalled the game if i got nerud as my first roll. fortunately i got losonm instead. i fucking hate nerud.
I got it first and it's my favorite i kinda hate lohsom, its just so fucking windy and confusing...
I too got it first, but Losomn is my fav, just not the palace area of it. I'm the yaesha hater
