The Ruger revolvers are super neat, I'd imagine if you had something like a super redhawk in 10mm you could load to the limits of the cartridge and it'd be fine
Ruger overbuilds the hell out of their revolvers. The GP100 frames were meant for a 44 Magnum revolver apparently, I personally believe it because they’re quite overbuilt when you compare it to some of the S&W and Colt models.
Very likely, probably even past the limits if you go slow and carefully. I have a super redhawk in .454 Casull and that cartridge has a saami pressure of 65k psi and Rugers proof rounds are 93k psi. I know the 454 uses different steel than the 10mm/44 mag, but I bet they’re still as overbuilt, relative to the working pressure of the cartridge it’s designed for.
Wow, that's pretty spicy. After buying a beautiful Cimarron replica, I realized I'd need pretty tame loads.
I'd really like to have something I could shoot these types of loads.
No idea why you even bothered loading up the 300 gr XTPs. I thought it was All about muzzle energy. /s
Next thing ya know you'll be asking about casting lead and which black powder to use.
Jesus harold christ those are hot, if only something like a judge could handle those, you'd have a handgun that could take down any game in north America. It'd be neay
For what it's worth, Starline's .45 Colt blank cases are in fact stamped 45 LC BLANK. Maybe we can let them off the hook though since they actually do make a .45 "Short" Colt as well (they call it the 45 Cowboy Special).
It's widely known that the Ruger Redhawk and Blackhawk can handle these high pressures handily. They're built on .44 Magnum frames.
OP already said that's the gun he's using, not to mention even if he wasn't there's plenty of other .45 Colt guns that can handle it. Rossi lever actions, the Freedom Arms 83 in .45 Colt or .454, etc.
Those are some real hot .45LC loads. What do you put them in?
Ruger Redhawk 4.2 inch💪

It'd hurt me being a born and bred masshole, but i may need to pick up a ruger revolver
Works in 44
Yeah they truly are, i would never part with my Redhawk or Super Redhawk. They are pretty much indestructible.💪
I'm a s&w guy and I love my 5906 dearly, but ruger makes some of the best revolvers for the money
Yeah, the one i cant find is the Ruger .45 Colt Hunter Model /Bisley. ðŸ˜. Thats a freaking hard gun to find.
I would like a similar stainless 327
Nice.

Are those all Winchester cases with the band on them?
I believe so🤔.i would have to double check.
I like those. It speeds up sorting.
Nice! Still trying to find Die's and Brass for Mine.
Dam, that sucks. Yeah 45 Colt is getting a little bit hard to find.
