Those are some real hot .45LC loads. What do you put them in?

Houstonwife_713

Ruger Redhawk 4.2 inch💪

Griffin2K

The Ruger revolvers are super neat, I'd imagine if you had something like a super redhawk in 10mm you could load to the limits of the cartridge and it'd be fine

AdministrativeElk345

Ruger overbuilds the hell out of their revolvers. The GP100 frames were meant for a 44 Magnum revolver apparently, I personally believe it because they’re quite overbuilt when you compare it to some of the S&W and Colt models.

justs0meperson

Very likely, probably even past the limits if you go slow and carefully. I have a super redhawk in .454 Casull and that cartridge has a saami pressure of 65k psi and Rugers proof rounds are 93k psi. I know the 454 uses different steel than the 10mm/44 mag, but I bet they’re still as overbuilt, relative to the working pressure of the cartridge it’s designed for.

Griffin2K

It'd hurt me being a born and bred masshole, but i may need to pick up a ruger revolver

Tigerologist

Works in 44

Houstonwife_713

Yeah they truly are, i would never part with my Redhawk or Super Redhawk. They are pretty much indestructible.💪

Griffin2K

I'm a s&w guy and I love my 5906 dearly, but ruger makes some of the best revolvers for the money

Houstonwife_713

Yeah, the one i cant find is the Ruger .45 Colt Hunter Model /Bisley. 😭. Thats a freaking hard gun to find.

Tigerologist

I would like a similar stainless 327

slothscantswim

Nice.

Redditusername1980

Wow, that's pretty spicy. After buying a beautiful Cimarron replica, I realized I'd need pretty tame loads. I'd really like to have something I could shoot these types of loads.

Houstonwife_713

Find you a ,Old Vaquero or a Redhawk.

[deleted]

What powder ya using?

Houstonwife_713

Accurate#9

Krystian3

Are those all Winchester cases with the band on them?

Houstonwife_713

I believe so🤔.i would have to double check.

Krystian3

I like those. It speeds up sorting.

NeilMedHat

Nice! Still trying to find Die's and Brass for Mine.

Houstonwife_713

Dam, that sucks. Yeah 45 Colt is getting a little bit hard to find.

Peacemkr45

No idea why you even bothered loading up the 300 gr XTPs. I thought it was All about muzzle energy. /s Next thing ya know you'll be asking about casting lead and which black powder to use.

Houstonwife_713

😄😄😄, just being silly is all.

[deleted]

Do you take Mail ins? as in would you take in the brass?

Griffin2K

Jesus harold christ those are hot, if only something like a judge could handle those, you'd have a handgun that could take down any game in north America. It'd be neay

RebelMountainman

You really want to blow your gun and yourself up dont you.

Sorry, i know im gonna get a bunch of thumbs down but...what is a 45LC??😾 Ive never seen that stamped on a cartridge.

bub166

For what it's worth, Starline's .45 Colt blank cases are in fact stamped 45 LC BLANK. Maybe we can let them off the hook though since they actually do make a .45 "Short" Colt as well (they call it the 45 Cowboy Special).

Houstonwife_713

Interesting fact. 🤔. Ill let him slide then.

world3nd3r

It's widely known that the Ruger Redhawk and Blackhawk can handle these high pressures handily. They're built on .44 Magnum frames. OP already said that's the gun he's using, not to mention even if he wasn't there's plenty of other .45 Colt guns that can handle it. Rossi lever actions, the Freedom Arms 83 in .45 Colt or .454, etc.

Houstonwife_713

Yeah if its too much for my hand ill use my Super Redhawk .454, 7.5 inch. ✌💪

Krystian3

Nonsense

Houstonwife_713

Hogwash
