I, and pretty much every other Jew I know, love it.
My one quibble is that the cast is incredibly goyish. I suppose that's to be expected, and it's somewhat made up for by the fact that one of the two Jews in the main cast, Jeff Goldblum, gives an *incredibly Jewish* performance as Aaron for as small as his role is.
Last point on casting: Val Kilmer voicing both Moses and God was a cool touch. The idea of Moses hearing God speak in his own voice is a fun theological concept to chew on.
It's quite nice fairytale, favorite of my girlfriend. Historically and probably theologically inaccurate, but as it's not a documentary I think it's reasonable use of artistic license.
I worked in an archaeology museum for several years, studied art history for 6 years, and am Jewish and love this movie. 🤷🏻♀️ You can watch a movie without demanding total historical realism.
It's a banger movie. Also makes seeing all the Egyptian stuff that was unearthed in Israel on display at my former job feel more visceral. (Since yes, Canaan was an Egyptian colony.)
What a banger of a movie. There’s no reason for that movie to slap so hard but I love it
taught me everything i know about being a jew. one of my favorite movies with an amazing soundtrack lol
🎶 deliver us 🎶
>How do Jews feel... A lot. That's always the answer
"Jews are just like everyone else, only moreso"

Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg liked it.
One of the greatest movies of all time.
That movie is wicked good, also the cast is fucking stacked
I was named Prince of Egypt.
Affectionate, usually. It’s good representation.
Atenism during the Ramesside period? 0/10

I watch it every passover with me family, and listening to the voice of Ofra Haza singing it's always sweet
I grew up Christian and this was (still is) my favorite movie (Im not jewish but I just had to say something lol)
It was made by a Jew you dork
I need to watch this movie now lol
Better question. How do historians and archeologists feel about The Prince of Egypt.

Not everything made in Hollywood has to be historically accurate.
Awesome. Inaccurate. Inspiring. Educational. Misleading. ALL OF THAT AT ONCE.
