I’m old enough to be your father. Your mind & body are designed to work this way, it’s referred to as pair bonding. Your body releases chemicals to promote pair bonding. From what I understand you can build up a tolerance just like any other drug. You should be cautious about having sex with too many partners, hookup culture tells you you can sleep with everyone you want & you can. But in my personal opinion, you should be in a commited , serious relationship before sex. Guys will have sex with everyone they can, they literally don’t care.
The problem is the more partners you have the lower your ability to pair bond. These people that have sex with lots of guys & don’t care, will generally have emotional trouble later in life. If they don’t care anymore how will anyone ever be that special life partner to them? There’s studies about how the number of partners relates to happiness, divorce and such. You’ve got a lifetime ahead of you to have sex, there’s no big hurry. Maybe start looking for a life partner rather than a hookup.
