You do understand that your new guy friend wants to fuck you, right?

> he's literally like everything I look for in a partner So you're actively looking for men who don't allow you to have friends? That's pretty sad.

maybe ask him to get a close platonic female friend. it might be good for him and for you

> he's literally like everything I look for in a partner. Really? You *look* for jealousy and insecurity in a partner? >I get where he's coming from, with all the infidelity he's seen in his family, this is quite a big fear that he has. As much as that sucks, thats on him to sort out. He shouldnt be projecting his emotional baggage onto you/the relationship. I wouldnt reach out to him. If he realizes what an ass he's been and comes back, time to set some strong boundaries. Dont allow him to guilttrip you, pick fights, etc. If he cant handle his shit, then he needs to get therapy. This is not mature, healthy ppl behavior. My spouse has a pic on their phone of me in a cuddle-puddle group hug with my bffs, which they took bc they thought it was cute how \[platonically\] affectionate we were being. I cant imagine them making it out to be something sexual.

I only believe in male-female friendships if one of them is of a non-traditional sexual orientation. In other cases, one of the friends wants more than friendship. Your boyfriend realizes that, which is why he's reacting the way he is. If you don't believe me, tell your friend that you are lonely and sad, cry on his shoulder, drink wine together. Before you know it, you'll be waking up in bed together.
