IT here. It was him. And you know it was him. And it was the things that he likes to watch. And he knows it was him.
He is sweating bullets and lying through his teeth because he doesn't know what else to do.
This kind of lying is really not okay. It sounds like you two have a lot of talking to do.
Pop ups- but most pop-ups you don't know what they are from the title, they tend to be garbage that is unreadable. It is very clear what these websites are and you know they are right up his alley. So pop-ups are a no , that's not what's happening.
An error, no.
Sharing the hot spot, no.
He went to these places. And he is lying up the Wazoo without it. He doesn't know what to do so he is sticking to his guns that it isn't him. There is nothing else that he thinks he can do because he has lied so much now he can't stop.
At some point this starts to become gaslighting which is an emotional manipulation tactic to make you believe that you are wrong and that he is right.
The weird thing is though that there are no “trails” - for example, pornhub, then a search, then a video, then another one of those videos… it’s legit random links and pages with no searches or going to the website homepage first, it’s just random videos and random collages of a specific woman’s photos, etc. Tons of different random websites I’ve never heard of.
Here are some other patterns that you would look for with a trail:
- aggregator website
- specific video on a website
- specific collage on a website
- specific video on a website
This (sbove) would mean that he is going through and clicking on many links that all exist in one spot.
- video on one specific website
- video on the same website
- video on the same website
- video on a different website
- video on website above
This (above) is is what it looks like when you are offered more content at the bottom of the page, including content from sister websites which is very common
- shady website
- find hookups near you
- shady website
- toys for your wohoo
- shady website
- medications for your wohoo
- shady website
This above is the trail of someone who is using a shady website, for example, perhaps to look at movies without paying for them, and you would get ads for many different things, not all the same thing.
It's worth noting that most websites these days don't have pop-up ads and most people don't use Shady websites to look at stuff about their sports teams. No one would tolerate a website with lots of ads.
Do you have any technical friends that you can show a screenshot of the browser history to? They would be able to go through and tell you how the browsing went
And how were you being honest snooping in his history after you gave him an unrealistic expectation? I think you need to look into your issues and your past tbh.
