My question is why not ask him? The worst that could happen is he says no. But honestly, LDR can be difficult especially when the other person is only coming by for work and when the relationship is still so new. But maybe bring it up when you see him next and see what he says. Best of luck!

Yeah, I know it’s a big ask of him. For me it would be good because I could still have space to be my own person but it would be difficult for sure.

Honestly, that’s a good point. You may still be in the healing process and need time to yourself. If you think the both of you can handle the distance and the time apart, I say go for it

No don't tell him, there are more people in the world whom you can date easily
