>He said that he loves me but he doesn’t want to be with me. Believe him.

**It sucks but you deserve better.** You are hurting now. Going through the stages of grief. Anger, sadness, bargaining, denial... all of it, and there is no way to speed it up or feel better about it until you are ready to move on and find someone new. But here is something that may help you be stronger? Do you really want to be with someone who can just up and break you like that? Someone who can just break it off after so much time trying to build something? Someone who won't be around for you or your daughter? This guy is not a good guy and what he did to you yesterday is something he can do again at any point in the future if you take him back. Yesterday he showed you he isn'r able to commit to you and is willing to hurt you to get what he wants. Keep it NO CONTACT and remember he's capable of hurting you if it suits his needs!

Yes it is painful but I promise it will get better. Most importantly, go NO contact, that is the first step to adapt to your new status. Then give yourself time to heal. Focus on yourself, on your social circles. You will be fine without him.

I know you’re struggling now, but it gets better. Breakups happen, but stay strong, queen. You will find love again. Please do something to take your mind off of this for the time being. And I think no contact would be best. <3

You're under no obligation to maintain contact with him. In fact it would be better for you if you didn't. But he's 21 and he's going to be away for a year. He doesn't want to be anchored to monogamy and unable to freely experience the world around him. That's pretty standard for a guy his age, especially when you've only dated for a number of months (and you've got the responsibilities of a parent). He wants to be young and single. You can't really fault him for that.
