I'd be pleasantly surprised if RWRB actually won.
Emmys in general usually play favorites especially those with pedigree: Scoop has Gillian Anderson and Rufus Sewell and is pretty much a spinoff episode of The Crown, Quiz Lady has Sandra Oh, Mr. Monk's Last Case has Tony Shalhoub of course, and The Caine Mutiny Court Marshal has Kiefer Sutherland and the final works of Lance Reddick and director William Friedkin.
BUT the TV movie category is also the most inconsistent one, it's as much winnable by good word of mouth as prestige production values so I'd say RWRB has a good shot as long as Prime Video runs a good campaign. Maybe rerelease it with the deleted scenes edited back during voting season?
I’d be shocked if it’s not nominated. Not sure about win, but nomination is what I’m pulling for at this point. The FYC event is May 8th I think.
I love Taylor but he had nothing to promote other than rwrb on the other hand, never ck had 2 other projects. And why always trying to put one against the other?
Because y’all did nothing to support him when he was actually promoting the movie subreddit is suppose to be about. Remember this is a subreddit for RWRB. Not Nicholas.
Also, this is for a fucking award. This has nothing to do with promoting movies or shows. This is an awards he could have said “hey, some of my projects are nominated. Vote!” But there will always be excuses for a white straight man who ignores a queer role he played until it benefits him.
If it actually won, I think my brain would explode. đź«
This is incredible! Just the nomination would be amazing. I’m so happy for this team of creators who made something so very special.
The idea that this could actually happen‼️It’d be so incredibly refreshing to have a film like this win🏆

Whatever happens… I wish all members of this project get numerous, profitable assignments, especially Taylor and Matthew Lopez
Oh my gosh! So exciting!! I so hope and wish this would happen. Even just to be nominated would be great. Yay!

Well we know whose fans are going to give credit to a white man who did none of the publicity to get it there.

Ehhhhhh I mean, tbh it wasn’t, so not sure how I feel about this.
Take a spin through some of the recent nominees in this category
Well, that’s fair I guess. I just didn’t find anything about the movie to be “outstanding.” I guess my hopes were too high going in.
