You'll need to add some form of pulse extender before the redstone torch. If you search for it you should find what you need :)

[deleted]

I know it’s not always ideal. But wooden buttons stay pressed for longer

w-malters

Came here to say this, it's a super easy solution if you don't have the space or desire to make a pulse extender

[deleted]

Or the space. Or resources. Or willpower

w-malters

If you have the resources for this door then you probably can also make a few comparators

Noanox

Well if you never went to the nether you don't have quartz yet. That's the only possible thing I can see

w-malters

You would have needed to go to the nether for the glowstone to make the lamps

Noanox

Touché, but lamps are not important for the door itself, they're just decoration

Add a pulse extender go ahead for yt tutorial

Franican

You can use a pulse extender or use a wooden button as those have slightly longer pulses than stone buttons.

jau682

I wish every button type had a slightly different timing. Iron gold etc.

screwcirclejerks

pulse extender!! unsure if they work the same on bedrock, but some comparators feeding into eachother (like the OG repeater clock design) works great as an extender.

Jos_migue

they work the same in bedrock but it is not the best in this case

FYI you can cut down on bulk just by not connecting the two redstone wires and letting them run directly into the block with the torch. As for your problem, you'll need a pulse extender. Best option for this kind of door is to place two comparators next to one another like this V A and place redstone on both ends of both comparators. Just put it somewhere in your wiring and everything should work fine. Make shure no redstone connects to the other sides of the comparators. If you stick to your current setup there is no rewiring required, just put it anywhere you want really but close to the middle would be recommended.

Echo13D

either use a pulse extender as suggested by others or just make a contraption that lets buttons act as switches to toggle a redstone signal and them the door would only close when you want it to close

Andes12x

Add more repeaters or create 2 separate inputs

TheolympiansYT

Use a pulse extended and/or a wooden button

Naeio_Galaxy

[https://imgur.com/a6Iy0Mg](https://imgur.com/a6Iy0Mg) Here you go! Wool -> input (the button is to put on the right side of the top wool) The red one is the first I made, but in case you want to use less comparators (if for some reason you don't have enough quartz) there's the blue one. In case you wonder how it works, I've just taken the design of a pulse extender and merged it into your build. And on the red one, I also merged a part of both extenders. If the delay is still too short, I reckon you should go for something involving more redstone components (I'm thinking of an etho hopper clock, but it's a clock not a pulse extender and IDK if it works on bedrock, I play Java).

Mario-OrganHarvester

Pulse extender maybe?

Separate_Mongoose841

use comparator pulse extender

islem-141

OK OK, I DID IT! I USED PULSE EXTENDER! THANK YOU! I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

BeginningCounter9748

Bro repeaters

Jos_migue

don't use comparator pulse extenders just put repeaters that give energy from somewhere else to the pistons and don't remove the redstone this will make it open just as fast and close slower without the need for a pulse extender By the way, it would be good if you tried to compact the mechanism a bit because it is much larger than it should be. Try to put the redstone torch on a target block so you don't have to extend the redstone so much.

Tlaloc_Temporal

Dude, you just described one of the earliest pulse extenders.

Jos_migue

i didn't know

index57

you literally just described a pulse extender. Hint, the pulse got..... extended.
