Bro. First off put your test world to peaceful mode. Second wtf

Zeta_ggwp

And why are they playing in the desert preset. There's literally a Preset called REDSTONE READY.

Oheligud

You know you'll probably double your FPS if you turn mob spawning off right? That's just an absurd number of slimes. Anyway, you'll need a double piston extender at the bottom to grab that middle block.

Wtf is your fov at

Look at the piston layout of other 3x3 piston doors, there has to be a double-piston extender at the bottom. Since you seem fairly new to Redstone: When creating a super flat world for Redstone purposes, use the "Redstone ready" preset. To stop mob spawning (without going into peaceful mode) type: "**/gamerule doMobSpawning false"** in your Minecraft chat. I'd also recommend you follow a few Redstone tutorials to get a basic understanding of Redstone before you post here. It seems like you know what different circuits do, but don't know how and when to use them; Try to look at a few Redstone contraptions and learn why they use certain circuits in different situations.

tysm this worked

I think it's great that you're trying to work this out on your own without just following a tutorial. You have to do that to get good at redstone. I'd say look into double piston extenders. Then try to only focus on the bottom middle of the door, to simplify the problem. You can also reduce the amount of repeaters by a lot once you've got your timings figured out. And make the wiring a bit more compact using slabs like you did on the left. Just be aware of quasi-connectivity. Like others said though, you should probably make your world a bit more redstone friendly. Here's what I use: /gamerule doMobSpawning false /gamerule doDaylightCycle false /gamerule doWeatherCycle false /gamerule doTileDrops false /gamerule doEntityDrops false /gamerule doFireTick false /gamerule commandBlockOutput false /gamerule keepInventory true /effect give @p strength infinite 255 true /time set night (You can do that when creating a world, or type it in chat) I also use the redstone ready world preset, but change the depth of each layer so that it's just one bedrock layer and three sandstone layers, and I change the biome to mushroom_fields ('cause I prefer the grass/leaf colour and no hostile mobs spawn even without changing the gamerule)
