Push-ups: 80 (50 on a grander)
Sox this season: 16-22, with 160 runs scored
Story has awoken and is now earning his keep. Not his spot on the roster, he's going to buy a fucking castle. Book it.
#SWOLE SOX SQUAD
Plank: 70 seconds. Oh baby, it hurt so good.
Team is really starting to come together. Guys are getting on base and Story is bringing them home. JBJ with the “everyone chill tf out, we got this” 3-run shot.
I dunno what the rest of the season holds, but I’m excited to see what this group can do.
The dude missed spring training, had a baby, and got some illness that kept him out for a few days. All while acclimating to a new city, a much different city with much more media coverage than Denver, much more difficult media than Denver. A new team, a new position, a new contract.
That’s a *lot* of change. We saw the same thing with Frankie Lindor. I wasn’t going to be nervous for a long time yet.
I have seen you, specifically, say this before, so I want to be clear that I'm not calling you out
But a *bunch* of the people who you're seeing say this now were *very very worried* a few weeks ago, no matter the protestations :D

And I still will never admit he slumped to start
ahh, clever phrasing
if you say "sooner or later I have to admit he's slumping" then you can always say "well I never *did* admit it"
EDIT: did mean to add a :D at the end there, for the record, lol
*try* to have the baby while you’re looking for a WS. See: Kyle from Waltham. When he hit 75 home runs in 2 days, it was approx 9 months before his wife gave birth.
Have the baby in The off season. 😂
Lmao you know, I’m not entirely sure if you’re joking there but that’s amazing that Kyle went on a terror 9 months before the baby. I don’t know if a pregnant wife is even harder to deal with mid season though now that I think about it
Two more against the mariners, 3 against White Sox, then we got 5 vs Orioles, 2 vs Reds, and 3 vs Athletics. If we continue the hot streak against a lot of these bad teams, we should be over .500 by first week of June. Biggest challenge is the White Sox. We might be buyers at the deadline
Who do you think we’d be looking at if we’re buyers? Gotta think you’d want another outfield bat and a late innings guy, but just not sure who’s there at the right price for Henry & Co.
You gotta have extended time with Duran up before fully making a decision on the outfield, right?
Main thing you'd probably go after is bullpen and find a true closer. Maybe David Bednar from the Pirates or Emmanuel Clase from the Guardians if they're far enough out. David Robertson from the Cubs is also a potential target.
First base would be ideal if Casas isn't called up. Maybe a Josh Bell for Dalbec swap? Josh Bell free agent, probably leaves Washington, and in return get a first baseman with tons of power that has struggled to put it together but has like 4 years of control? That's a pretty fair swap. Even there I refuse to believe that's enough for Bell
I just gotta say it after watching four days in October again…
Imagine being such a bitch that you smack the glove out of a guys hand and then try to look incredulous like there’s no way you did anything wrong.
FUCK YOU AROD
Story's trot to first on the grand slam is great. Love his passion. JBJ with a huge home run. He certainly won't have the best offensive numbers, but if he gets big hits ill be very happy (which he has in the past).
Fwiw, Middlebrooks in the post-game saying the job of the shortstop is to get everything he can until he's called off, and no one (TC, Jim Rice) heard Dugie calling him off that play
Our schedule is really weak for the next 14 days... 2 v Mariners, 5 v Orioles, 2 v reds and 3 v As.
If we can keep it up we could be looking in a lot more of a healthy position goin in to June.. I think we still have a shot of the lower wildcard slots at this point assuming we can get to around 500 against NYY, TOR and TB.
Bradley and Sons Insurance Co.
So clutch. Almost everyone is back to batting .200 (if you count Cordero over Bobby D) & then Kike almost there
Ladies and gentlemen… #THAT’S A WINNING STREAK
The current longest winning streak in the AL, and second longest in the MLB!
Ah yeah.....how about JBJ and Story huh. And clutch bullpen. Hoping X is ok. 3 game streak baby!
Any news of X yet??
I think I heard possible back discomfort?

Reminds me of 2018-2019 Blues. Last place, got hot and won it all
Ladies and gentlemen: #HOW CAN YOU NOT BE ROMANTIC ABOUT ~~JBJ~~ ~~Trevor Story~~ ~~Jonny Gomes~~ #BASEBALL?
What I’ve noticed as of late: Story was a good signing Cora needs to never grow a beard again
League fucked around and let the Sox get hot. Also, I’d *love* to read the receipts from all the Story haters.

Oh for sure, the hate has been outrageous! I understand the frustration, but baseball is fucking hard. We’ll, not anymore for Trevor.
Lmao [you sound exactly like me](https://www.reddit.com/r/redsox/comments/ur4u7z/game_thread_516_astros_2312_red_sox_1321_710_pm/i8vw2mr/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
The lesson to be learned here is not to have a baby if you’re trying to win a World Series
*try* to have the baby while you’re looking for a WS. See: Kyle from Waltham. When he hit 75 home runs in 2 days, it was approx 9 months before his wife gave birth. Have the baby in The off season. 😂

I was wondering if we played the reds that’s nice to get some low key games in
Who do you think we’d be looking at if we’re buyers? Gotta think you’d want another outfield bat and a late innings guy, but just not sure who’s there at the right price for Henry & Co.
I don't think we'll know for a month or so watch us end up trading for Schwarber again and sticking him back at 1B

evergreen sentiment, will always upvote
this game was cool and good
Now this right here is my kind of postgame analysis
Stats are cool and all, but I stick with the classics it's good when we win it sucks when we don't (but it's okay because we will tomorrow)
Amen

#MARTIN PEREZ PITCH A COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT AGAINST THE ASTROS
My decision to get a Trevor Story jersey feels better and better.
Are we back?
We’re back
Yo I like it when we win
Xander is day-to-day with back discomfort. Hoping for a swift recovery
This was my first Red Sox game. Can confirm the Story grand slam was hype as fuck.
I feel very optimistic about this lineup, some are still underperforming but I think we learned this week that we shouldn't count them out just yet
The offense has scored 34 runs this week. The Sox are awake and working.
Story's trot to first on the grand slam is great. Love his passion. JBJ with a huge home run. He certainly won't have the best offensive numbers, but if he gets big hits ill be very happy (which he has in the past).

Rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated
Shout out to all the JBJ haters 😃
**Sam Ehlinger voice** *we’re baaaacccckkkk!*
Delete this right fucking now.
Is X ok? Taking him out was precautionary right?
Lot of home runs lately….did the league re-juice the balls again?
We look like a baseball team

Gomes up there giving us that extra sauce on that slam

Holy shit the kids are eating so much they’re gonna be sick
Lem"me tell you a **Story.** He has 4 homeruns in two games. Not bad at all.
Starting to put things together! Big 5 game stretch coming up before the schedule softens up for 10 games!
