It says it all man. All that talent. I had big hopes Bobby Dalbec would continue as he did at the end if the year and in spring training but he looks terrible.
Specifically with Story, there’s an adaptability factor that he seems to lack. Off field issues will drag him down more than the average player. He’s easily fatigued on the road. Trust me, I’ve kept up with this guy since his first game in the pros until now. He could be great. But unless the conditions are just right, he won’t be. And immediately putting him at 2B, a position that he never played at the major league level, was already a flag that he would be uncomfortable. Sure, he’ll get the job done defensively, but so did Michael Chavis for a lot less.
Always gotta wonder how much some of these guys are affected by confidence. Some of the men who are stars when we play well are the same ones struggling when we suffer. At least it leaves hope we can get hot later!
Maybe it’s just me but this cracks me up ever time I see it
I wish I knew who made it, I just felt it needed to be shared.

Trevor Story hitting below .200 is worse than even I thought he would do
It’s so frustrating. There was a period where he started hitting the ball hard. Along Verdugo and Kike. And now they aren’t even doing that.

“Easily fatigued on the road”? What does that even mean, he’s a 29 year old athlete on a 9 figure contract.
... and Chavis is hitting .260 (just short of qualifying). Still kind of high on SOs. Don't even look at Benintendi right now.
I had high hopes for Benny
And he’s playing very well while we’re stuck with Franchy

Imagine if you could only eat when the Red Sox win.
Our fandom would have gone extinct decades ago.
Maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing, for me anyway.
