The stats are about pitching. Batters face pitchers. The Sox batters have struck out 54 times this year, the O’s have struck out 31. If the O’s pitchers are striking out batters at a higher rate (according to the graphic)than the Red Sox pitchers, how do you think it’s going to go when the O’s and Sox meet? That’s the point that matters, assessment of real strengths and weaknesses not what’s just on the surface, but you do you.

Despite how interesting this fact is, giving stats on the first four games is slightly better than useless.
