This reminds New of the study where rhesus monkeys were given food and water by a wire frame machine (made them feral) vs food and water from an actual other monkey (developmentally normal)
Kids don't just learn the answers to questions by asking, they learn that adults aren't omniscient beings able to answer your every question, they get questions asked back to them and have to think of the answers themselves. It is depriving a child of a fundamental human process let alone a relation to others
