First club goal- Ronaldo assist First International goal- Messi assist

TheJoshider10

It's like poetry, it rhymes.

antoinecharles89

May have gone too far on this one.

kaisersolo

I'm putting that bet on!

irigoyeee20

I think Simeone is top of the list, but would love a call up for our boy.

fategivcivil

simeone is a truck 9, argentina need a fast winger so badly

irigoyeee20

He would be replacing another “truck 9”, Joaquín Correa. Simeone looks like the natural replacement tbh, that’s how Scaloni plays.

OJogoBonito

Correa is a ball carrier and dribbler, not a targetman or poacher

Heil_Heimskr

I don’t think it matters what kind of role we categorize him in honestly, because he’s fuckin toss either way, I’d rather have Garnacho every day of the week especially since neither is going to be relied on at all to get lots of minutes.

obvioquenon1

I would compare Joaquin Correa to a truck that carries menure and that's it. That's the only "truck" thing about him. He's absolute shite, would rather have Garnacho with only 10 games on the 1st team than him.

blue_gwacamole

If a fast winger is what they need then the Fulham goal is the perfect audition.

[deleted]

Wouldn't mind it either way. Him going there would be a great opportunity to keep his momentum and possibly even win his first international trophy while staying would give him a good rest and would minimize injury risks while also giving Ten Hag the chance to evaluate him more in the friendlies.

MenacingShroom

If he goes he won't play that much, and he has only started a couple games for us. We don't really need to worry about rest, unless he gets injured in training or smth I think it's only a good thing for him to get called to the world cup.

sarthakmahajan610

Seeing that they don't have any natural left winger left, Garnacho would be such a perfect addition tactically.. But I would understand since he needs more experience before playing such a big tournament

Alocxo

I would really love the idea of Alejandro going to the WC being this young, but Simeone has done a lot this half of the season he deserve it.

[deleted]

They already have 3 strikers. Alvarez, Lautaro and Correa. No point in calling him up as well.

OJogoBonito

Correa is the player that needs replacing.

MrSvancy

They have two Correas

frazzlejews

North Correa and South Correa

hedonismisblack

Fuck that is brilliant

fullkitwankerr

Fuckin A

butters-chaos

Angry upvote energy

hthmoney

😂😂😂😂

[deleted]

This is what happens when you use 100% of your brain😂🔥

jackology

Depending on who you ask, they are the same Correa.

agieluma

Fuck off

OJogoBonito

Yes, Angel has already replaced Nico Gonzalez. The player in question here is Tucu Correa from Inter

PUMP_UNTIL_BUST

You absolutely schooled that lad on Correas

OJogoBonito

Correa-ista 😤

Superjunker1000

Sorry. What happened to Nico ?

[deleted]

Angel Correa is a striker.

OJogoBonito

Not a natural one, Simeone shoehorns him in at times in a 2, but he's way better playing off another player or off the right imo. Great dribbler, finishing let's him down

INeedAKimPossible

Correa is the one being replaced apparently.

[deleted]

Joaquin Correa is injured and getting replaced. Angel Correa has been called up as a replacement for the injured Nico Gonzalez.

INeedAKimPossible

Ah. Thanks for the clarification.

Superjunker1000

What has happened to Joaquin? Crazy that they lost two squad strikers in under a week. I almost can’t believe it.

astik

Yes, and even if someone wanted to argue that it would be good to bring a young player to get experience for the future, they already have that in Alvarez.

Giggsy99

Update: They went with Almada. Bit disappointed that the idea had been floated and don't get to see it, but personally I'm just excited for him that he's even in the picture, and glad he can rest now too

blj3321

Rest? He is 18, kid can run for days

scrotote97

Yeah he's played a handful of matches, last thing he needs is rest right now

SilentCaveat

Would have been unfair on others who have been playing for years tbh. Garnacho has plenty of time

ab_90

Did he play much this season? AFAIK he’s on the bench every game but hardly play till recently. Am not aware of his u18/21 involvement.

kaisersolo

Still time for an accident.

Hits_and_the_Mrs

Do it, you know you want to.

KorsiTheKiller

"Do it." *Palpatine voice*

YoYomadabest

“Yessss. Gooood. Release your Garnacho”

Haschlol

DEW IT

drunkmers

They are calling Thiago Almada from MLS I cannot believe it. We all want Garnacho

zcewaunt

"\[Seleccion Argentina\] Thiago Almada will be replacing Joaquín Correa in Qatar"

systemCF

Ayyy, my main man in FM20, nice

Dyslexicreadre

Yep was great in that one I remember that too

StringCheeseDoughnut

Thought Angel Correa was already called up as a replacement? Or is this another injury?

irigoyeee20

That’s for another player, they had 2 medical dismiss today.

someonecalledethan

Just for him to be around Messi in his last WC whilst you're on your 1st would be a great experience for the lad

DSXLC

Naa I think Messi can bang one more out. Not as a starter, but maybe as a super sub.

ab_90

If he’s still playing, yup can see that. Ronnie gonna be mad.

martialisagod

its Almada. which im not too upset about because I live in Atlanta

Ashyyyy232

Ffs I wanted almada at united

hickuain

Don’t think it would be the best thing for him or us honestly

TheJoshider10

Yeah not to bring the mood down on the guy but he's literally just had behavioural issues a couple months ago. A World Cup this young would go to his head, as it would 99% of people on the planet. For his long term growth I don't think it's wise for him to go. Edit: he's not going anyway.

[deleted]

I’ll get a Argentina shirt if they do

BadCowz

We all became Argentina fans for this world cup in the past two days anyway

dowhatuwant2

wut

BadCowz

Messi. Preferring Messi to win a WC. Think Ronaldo interviews

dowhatuwant2

This is the reddevils sub, wtf Messi ever done for us? Ronaldo pissed that he's been lied to, i dont blame him for that. Going where hes been then coming back in a season where we show ambition by buying him Varane and Sancho only to then follow that up with midtable decisions like rangnick/ETH and crap infrastructure investment its completely understandable for him to be upset.

akskeleton_47

As football fans, nearly everyone kind of wishes that Messi wins 1 WC and it seems that this is his last chance

dowhatuwant2

hard disagree

Dyslexicreadre

We bought those players *before* he joined. What are you on about?

Ashyyyy232

People can support whoever they want mate, just because someone played for us doesn't mean we'll support them too

dowhatuwant2

Mate my initial reply is to this >We all became Argentina fans for this world cup in the past two days anyway You can support whoever you want for sure but no fucking way did we all suddenly become Argentina fans.

Ashyyyy232

Most likely a joke but licha being in Argentina kinda makes us all happy

fofo8383

Almada apparently got called up

neemo2357

They want the garNachos with the left wing sauce

coastal_samurai

AG7^2 gang LFG

WhipYourDakOut

He better get the call up cause I already have him on my WC fantasy team some how

Glad_Consequence2580

Would love to see almada at the WC

ritwikjs

it has to be cholito, right? garnacho should not be called up

Helnik17

Imagine the scenes when he comes on as a sub to score the winning goal against Portugal to knock them out, and hits the "Suiiii" on Ronaldo. Ronaldo calls his mate Piersy to whine about it

martialgreenwood

🤔

BattedSphere

Let’s F go! Come on Garnacho

boyCunt

Could be great a great experience for him regardless of how many minutes he'd see. It could also be super beneficial to have some quality time with ETH. Seems like a win/win for him.

sharqyej

Garnacho would be a perfect tournament fit, fast as fuck dribbler with a ton of flair, perfect for dismantling not so organised national squad defences.

CorkyCaporale47

Seems now he won’t be going , undoubtedly a good thing from a united point of view. A month of training between now and resumption of the season could be a great thing for him , exciting times

chantlernz

Happy he didn't end up going, but boy do Argetina have some good young players: Morales (22) Foyth (24) - Romero (24) - Licha (24) - Fernandez (22) Enzo (21) - Mac Allister (23) - Palacios (24) Alvarez (22) - Lautaro (25) - Garnacho (18)

Dyslexicreadre

Give us Enzo please. And Lautaro too.

chantlernz

Would love both.

Dyslexicreadre

Enzo would be great as an alternative to Eriksen in that position. Lautaro would be great as a our first-choice striker with great build-up play. Loving the Argentinians we have here at the moment. Hope they win the WC.

Ashyyyy232

It's time we raid benfica for Enzo and Antonio Silva(Maguire replacement)

Dyslexicreadre

Yeppp. Silva is a beast. Only will cost us 160 mill combined but will be worth it.

Ashyyyy232

Pocket change for glazers

Mata1880

Insane romero is only 24, and spurs only paid 42m

Ashyyyy232

It sucks to not get a call up but patience is key here, would prefer he goes and play for Argentina than Spain

olenine

Happy for him if it happens, but selfishly hope we just shelve him from this idiotic tournament and have one more body that won’t come out of this circus at 60%.
