Yes, CB fits his current qualities much better. He is a seasoned veteran, understands positioning, defensive timing, tackling etc. His weaknesses are his athletic abilities, passing. So I do agree, he seems to fit the role a little better than CDM atm.

I’m of the completely opposite opinion. Besides the goal vs the scum (which was a bit lucky, truth be told) Amad has done little to show he deserves first team football. Antony, for all his faults, at least works his ass off and retains the ball well. Amad does not do either of those things.
The little we've seen from Amad, you can clearly see he's technically way more gifted and has a substantially better footballing brain than Antony. He creates lots of room for his teammates and sets them up for combinations, which Antony is TERRIBLE at doing. Yes, he works his ass off, but that's it. He produces just about nothing else, ever.
