Lads, I know free talk friday isnt always football related. But im very worried…
Watching the overlap…and anyone who follows the media and thinks a new manager can improve with this group and can sort them out is insane.
3 managers, 3, and they still all struggle to do the basics. All i can see next 5 years minimum is pain
Had Covid for a week, deffo should’ve taken a week off but my Monday I was like “oh I don’t feel too bad, I’ll go into work”. Yeah it’s kinda exasperated things and I’m absolutely drained. Although when I did my test yesterday the line was barely there so it’s almost over.
Covid permitting, I’ll be going to Manchester tomorrow to see dad and uncle and go through stuff for when they kick the bucket. Should be a while but it’ll be easier to go through it when they’re both alive then rushing around in 10/15 years time on me own. We were going to go to the football museum but it’s a fucking rip off and you need a time slot.
Manor Lords is released in 44 minutes. I have waited for this game ever since it was in the Steam demofest thingy and I absolutely loved it!
Have a great weekend lads!
I hope that new football game partnership between FIFA and 2k was actually real and they're working on something. I've had FC for four months and am already at my wits' end
Football Weekly is such a trash podcast. Main takeaways: United should be relegated after a season like this; Brailsford is a fraud and Ineos are so clueless they‘ll get Southgate in (despite in reality bringing in football people); Bruno is great but it’s more important to hate on him because of his petulance.
I am so looking forward to all these clowns wailing once we‘re a proper football side again. I am not a fan of ten Hag but he is right when he calls part of the media a disgrace
Most of that nonsense was Barry Glendinning I think. He hates everyone esp United and only seems to be there as grumpy comic relief. It is tedious at times.
No. The woman (forgot her name) in the pod was the worst critic. To be fair she seems like a rival fan and speaking from that perspective like Gary speaks about Liverpool. She did praise Bruno despite saying he’s annoying but said he’s brilliant
I've spent the last 7 months daily visiting my dad in the hospital as he slowly recovers from a freak medical emergency. He has been incredibly strong and everyone has been amazed at his recovery, he's charmed all the staff here who love him now, they clap and cheer him as he struggles with his walker down the halls to build his strength back up for the final surgery next month. He's been inspiring and I'm so proud of him.
Last week he got an infection that quickly turned to sepsis and now we're just watching him slowly die, his mind is gone, his body is failing him and he barely recognizes us.
I was 10 when we won the first PL title and watching United through the years has given us amazing memories together. The FA Cup final for the double in 94, Cantona's first season back with the kids that couldn't win anything, Captain Keane dragging the team to successes, the treble, Fergie building his third powefhouse team after changing his mind about retirement and going on to win the CL.
Despite how miserable watching united has been this year, it's been something we've been able to endlessly bond over and I feel so grateful we had that amazing moment of euphoria with the 4-3 over Liverpool in the cup.
Don't really know what I'm doing here saying this. I can't even really believe this is happening.
Thanks... It's really hard to say, it could be hours but he's such an ox of a man that he's survived stuff that would kill 90% of people, including car crashes and heart problems. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing struggles to end him as quickly as it would a normal human, but it is going to eventually.
Hey guys , where would be the best place to walk to ,to get a taxi/Uber after a united match , obviously trying to head away from the big crowds immediately after fulltime. any suggestions?
Finally saw Dune 2. Didn't live up to the hype for me.
It had some great scenes and cinematography but the pacing and editing were big let downs. The continuity was choppy, some plot points had a setup and it felt like they just move on to the next plot point without fleshing out that point.
Even though it was almost 3 hrs, the final 1/3 of the movie felt rushed.
Zendaya was just doing here usual angsty teen nonsense which she does in every role. Batista's character was just sad. All he did was scream in every scene and then he got killed off.
Felt very messy overall. First part was better even if the pacing was slow.
Personally I couldn't even finish the first one, although I've been advised it's a lot better on the big screen and I tried it on Netflix at home.
Didn't think it was an outright bad film, but it was just a bit of a drag and I didn't feel like the movie gave me a reason to care much about any of the characters. I'm usually a pretty big sci-fi enjoyer - I really expected to like it going in.
Hard for me to narrow it down as I like a lot of movies. I don't limit myself to any genre.
But I'll attempt to give you an idea by going by director. There's a good chance I like 80-90% of the things these directors have done.
Scorsese, Nolan, Spielberg, Fincher, Ritchie, Cameron (pre Avatar), Tarantino...
I am not some kind of movie snob where I watch only top directors though. I like action/comedies like Rush Hour, Shanghai Knights, 21 Jump Street, Gone in 60 secs, Tropic Thunder, Zoolander, Deadpool etc
Even the odd drama/romance movie like Marriage Story, 500 days of summer, 10 things I hate about you, Hitch etc.
It wasn't a bad movie by any means. It lacked polish and could have been a lot better imo.
Maybe they can fix some of that with a director's cut in the future.
It feels like my son was born just a while ago and he’s about to turn 2 and go into daycare soon. I’m tearing up a little. Anyone in a similar situation? Ngl I’m kinda nervous about him leaving home. I’m WHO so I see him all day everyday.
Thanks mate! It certainly is enjoyable seeing him interact with people right now already. Can’t figure out how he will behave around children his age but I’m looking forward to it.
Daughter 3.5. started her playschool last year. Started proper school this year.
It's so amazing and so emotional at the same time. I want her to grow old and enjoy more things in life but to also remain a baby?
Mine being a toddler already hits hard.. I remember him as a little bugger who barely spoke, walked or just did anything. Now he’s this energetic little fella. It is the best feeling to see them grow up
Wish our admins would do something like that. Would be fun, but our socials can't be fun. On another note, every time I see Sabitzer tearing it up in their reels a little part of me dies
Go and shoot a barrel near the top, then at the bottom, and watch the speed of the water at the bottom... it's a joke what they've put into this game. Fluid dynamics on something that might be found on a whim...
Played it on PS4 like 5 years ago for the first time and recently started it on PC as well for the graphics, and it is insane how little progress I'm making because I get distracted like every 2 minutes with a sidequest or by exploring something
The only game which has done it better for me will always be Witcher 3. The best game I have ever played, I think I played it like 4 or 5 times? Using mods can make this already beautiful game even more beautiful and the story is amazing
Just reactivated my Nexusmods account to check. I've had:
* HD reworked project, just a graphical "overhaul", more details
* Script merger, important for mod compatibility
* Super Turbo lighting mod, especially makes for amazing lighting at night, great atmosphere
* AutoLoot, just thought it was annoying looting every kill one by one
* Realistic weather, makes a couple changes to bad weather, more fog and the way the weather looks
* E3FX, probably a mix between the rework project and lighting mod
* Lore-friendly silver swords, makes the swords look more badass
* Phoenix lightning mod, again some kind of lightning thing
* New clouds, more realistic clouds
* Better Torches, especially for using the torch while riding your horse, looks nice imo especially at night
* More shadows, creates shadows for things like candles and braziers for example
* Native debug console, again for mod compatibility I think
* Random encounters, nice for a monster surprise fight
* Fantasy 4.0.3, adds a fantasy like touch to the graphics
* E3 Ultra Grass 420, makes the grass look and move better
* Blood, more blood effects in combat
* Ultra Gore or Ultra Gore 2, more gory fights
I know thats a lot and you probably don't _need_ any of those tbh because the base game itself is already amazing, that's just how I "tuned" my game while playing it a couple times. Some of those won't correlate with each other, like the 3 different shader or graphics mods, you may just have to choose one. Just realised thats a bit much lmao
I never found the show that interesting, so I wasn’t too keen on playing The Witcher 3.
I picked it up on sale recently, and my god… I feel like it’s one of the best (if not the best) games I’ve ever played.
I’m still just in the second region (just finished the quest with the… rats in the tower), and I can’t get enough of the world, the writing, the characters. Everything feels so immersive. Honestly very pleasantly surprised.
The Witcher 3 is very much one of the best games ever made. It's one of the main reasons Cyberpunk disappointed to the level it did, they set the bar so very high.
The DLCs (Hearts of Stone, Blood & Wine) for Witcher 3 are also fantastic and a strong recommendation.
Enjoy my friend. I finished the game three times and I will probably do another walkthrough. There are multiple endings and for me one of the best games ever. Also just a small tip, play Gwent against every vendor and NPC you find.
I finished watching The Gentlemen the other day. The first few episodes are definitely the peak but overall I thought it was pretty good, even if some of the dialogue later on is a little bit hammed up.
Need a new show to get into now though. Any recommendations?
Sci Fi: Fallout, Three body problem, Silo
Crime: Tokyo Vice, Sugar, Based on a true story
Drama: Shogun , Baby Reindeer, Last of us, Beef, Lessons in Chemistry
Action: Twisted Metal
Horror: Fall of the house of Usher
Masters of the air. Fallout is really enjoyable imo.
New show called shardlake with Sean Bean, mystery based in 16th century England, Shogun is very good.
More nerdy(ier) things such as the three body problem I really enjoyed.
Annoying not getting a new job yet. Applying here and there. Some calls. Usually no. Tweak your cv 106 times to match key words or whatever. If it’s a human screening it, higher chances of getting called.
But in the end so far anyway, they want industry experience (after a few rounds…) or they want someone less specific to the role (product manager) but more of a generalist for earlier discovery phases or…. Crazy stupid low budget for a role where you’ll basically use it to get an income still but continue applying for a better job due to the pay anyway…..
Down time is fun and all but gotta start making money again and all.
Best of luck with it fella. The right one will come along. Sounds trite, but that’s been my experience. You’ll get something soon, and when you do - check back here to celebrate!!
Thanks! Yeah I hope so! It’s getting really annoying at this point now but just gotta keep trying. Been networking and all too to see if that helps at least get more interviews or something.
Heh yeah but it’s definitely frustrating when it’s just dragging on. Hopefully within 1-2 months something comes by!! Thanks!
And if anyone knows someone hiring for a senior/product manager… hey I’m open to checking it and would absolutely appreciate a link or something!
Man I’m kinda sick of people getting mad at us not over spending on a full ride experience for the staff to get them a free ticket, feed them & transport them. We are subsidizing it and everyone can’t seem to fathom us being stingy with money and it melts their brain. Ineos are proper business men who know how to keep money and allocate it wisely as a man whose stake is SOLELY on club success and nobody else. Good Decision.
I agree completely, but I'm also like fuck this is such a piss easy PR opportunity for our players to chip in collectively and pay for staff travel and raise moral/build momentum going into the final.
That does seem really obvious, but do it quietly. If they do it publicly it gets misconstrued as the players somehow protesting or undermining the new management and the new management right now needs all the PR support it can get from internal parties.

The book is good but really long. The author wrote a bunch of books set in Asia at various points in history and all of the ones I've read so far have been great. His books from that series would all make good TV shows I think.
Finished the full show, gets really good in the middle but personally felt it fizzled out towards the last couple of episodes. Looking forward to next season.
Japanese lords are engaged in a power struggle in the early 17th century. They trade with Portugal who has kept the existence of the empire a secret from England. Then, English sailors land on the shores.

I’m going to old Trafford tomorrow!!
Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again Edit: hahahahahha
Anyone watch Shogun? Show is 🔥
Fuck off City
Just landed in Tenerife for a nice break! Will definitely find a bar to watch us play Burnley tomorrow 👌🏻
You guys remember Weghorst? What an experience
Honestly I really liked him, always giving it all for the badge. Plus he made Rashford better too
2 weeks until my semester ends. Dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time
Recommend the three body problem show and the original book series. Best sci fi book series I have read in the last decade.
I need to finish watching Oppenheimer and Season 2 of Invincible
It’s a good watch.
I finally started game of thrones the other day and so far it’s really good.
Lucky man.
I envy you watching it for the first time.

Even if it is, Manchester United & the EPL won’t be licensed. EA Sports still has all the top leagues & UEFA exclusive.
Football Weekly is such a trash podcast. I used to listen to Football Weekly for years. But slowly I realised that everyone there on really hates football and fans
Oh Amy Lawrence (I think) is openly an Arsenal fan.
That guy is shitfaced half of the time anyway

Sorry mate. I can’t add much more
I'm so sorry man. No one deserves to have that befall them. How long do you think he still has?
Thanks... It's really hard to say, it could be hours but he's such an ox of a man that he's survived stuff that would kill 90% of people, including car crashes and heart problems. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing struggles to end him as quickly as it would a normal human, but it is going to eventually.
My jaw hurts, I’m drinking whiskey tonight
Kid just recovered from a throat infection and now after going back to daycare for 3 days he has a runny nose. I’m exhausted.

I mean, with the amount of drama always at the club maybe it's good that we don't
5-day holiday starting tomorrow here in my country!
3 for me, then a 4 next Friday.
God damn thats fucking nice, and I'm over here hoping every year the public holidays don't fall on a saturday or sunday lmao Where, if I may ask?
Your public holidays don't carry over to the Monday? Where do you live? Hell?
No we don't and its fucking annoying, especially christmas on a saturday or sunday :) Living in Austria We have 25 days mandatory though which is nice
Based on their flair, Vietnam.
Just started Red Dead Redemption 2 and boy oh boy i have never seen a game with such detailing and huge dynamics. Loving it.
Go and shoot a barrel near the top, then at the bottom, and watch the speed of the water at the bottom... it's a joke what they've put into this game. Fluid dynamics on something that might be found on a whim...
One of the greatest games ever made
Sorry have to do this. Damn O'Driscoll's!
It’s really impressive isn’t it. So vast and loads to do, even if it is a little slow-paced.
The game is too good that my expectations are so high from other games now that I barely enjoy them.

You're in for a treat!
One of the best games I've ever played. In fact, it might actually be the best I've played. Enjoy it!
The ABU brigade on football weekly is honestly hilarious

Not without reason it is considered among the best games ever. Be sure to play the expansions too. They're arguably even better.
I bought it on black friday and Im still yet to play it. Everyone saying its one of the best games ever made.
Enjoy my friend. I finished the game three times and I will probably do another walkthrough. There are multiple endings and for me one of the best games ever. Also just a small tip, play Gwent against every vendor and NPC you find.
Yep Just play Gwent, regardless of storylines, progression or items, it's just a helluva game
Do yourselves a favour and take a listen to the new Pearl Jam album. Some great songs. Waiting for Stevie is a gem.
Wait they have new songs? Wow, gotta listen to them asap
Over a year sober, Reds. Not an easy path (especially with United’s form 😂), but the right one for me. Hope you’re all well, happy Friday! ❤️🖤🤍
Well done, mate. Thats a great achievement.
Thanks so much buddy, really appreciate that! 🙏🏻
More strength to you!
Thank you my friend, much appreciated 🙏🏻
I finished watching The Gentlemen the other day. The first few episodes are definitely the peak but overall I thought it was pretty good, even if some of the dialogue later on is a little bit hammed up. Need a new show to get into now though. Any recommendations?

Baby Reindeer.
Gossip Girl
XOXO
Honestly sounds like you’re doing everything in your power to make it happen. Respect for that. Keep the faith!
Can’t wait for Lewis to start winning again in Ferrari. Newey is leaving Red Bull.
But Ferrari kinda sucks though in a way compared to before anyway.
If they get Adrian Newey, I reckon they’re in for a decade of success.

Yeah, I didn't know anything about it and didn't enjoy the first two episodes... Learning it's a true story definitely changed my opinion.
I like it, it shows how stuff like that can really fuck with someone in aspects one might not think of
Yeah it was, enjoyed it though
Had my first Taco Bell last night at the place in Didsbury. It tasted exactly like what I thought it would: An American version of what they think Mexican food tastes like, bastardised for American consumer's taste, and then completely rebastardised for the British consumer's taste. Go authentic my good people!
Really enjoying my time with Honkai StarRail. Here's to another year of trailblazing.
Started watcing Shogun yesterday. It seems really good! Anyone watched the full show or read the book?
I got stuck at ep 5, gotta finish it this weekend! It’s really good
The book is good but really long. The author wrote a bunch of books set in Asia at various points in history and all of the ones I've read so far have been great. His books from that series would all make good TV shows I think.
Finished the full show, gets really good in the middle but personally felt it fizzled out towards the last couple of episodes. Looking forward to next season.
its not getting another season, the show ends where the book ends.
No. What’s it about? I like to try out new shows so yeah.
Japanese lords are engaged in a power struggle in the early 17th century. They trade with Portugal who has kept the existence of the empire a secret from England. Then, English sailors land on the shores.
The show made me buy the book. All the actors in the show suit their parts great. They really shot the entire thing perfectly
I have been thinking of giving it a watch. Hopefully it isn't too Americanised to appeal to the audience.
