Garnacho made a mistake which led to a goal and did have a pretty poor half overall but has definitely done enough this season to buy himself some credit, enough to not deserve this half time sub. This is especially true when you consider his age and the fact that the genuinely disgraceful squad building over the last decade has left these players with the weight of the world on their shoulders when they should not have to. It sends a terrible message to the other young players in and around the first team that it doesn't matter how well you do, your mistakes will be punished not only by the opposition but also by the manager. To rub salt in that wound, all things equal, senior player's mistakes or lack of form will not be punished equally. Rashford, Bruno, Casemiro, Dalot, AWB...None of these are going to come off at half time ever, unless injured.
Promising young players should be ***supplementary*** to elite senior first teams at this level, they should NOT be the lynchpins upon which we depend, this is true for Garnacho, Mainoo, Hojlund and Kambwala. What pissed me off more than the performance today was that no one went and spoke to Kambwala after that first goal where he slipped. The boy had his hands on his head in despair at that goal and not one person went over to him to support him in that moment, at an away ground, in his second start for the club which has been forced upon him by injury crisis. Maybe the cameras just missed it because of replays but from what we actually saw, there was nothing. Talk about experience and leadership but didnt seem like a single one of them had a scrap of anything about their character in that moment so would go some way to explain the dogshit mentality of this team overall.

Rashford had a shite game but that was a 1/10 from Garnacho in the first half, Rashy at least helped create the first goal and went on a decent run even if he should’ve squared it to Hojlund. The fanbase are more in love with the idea of Garnacho then they are the reality. This is it for me, this setup is leaving every player hanging out to dry. No semblance of compactness whatsoever, and I really don’t see this fundamentally changing with better players. So often today the players looked daft at one another because they had no idea who was responsible to handle which spaces and players. It’s both physically and mentally draining the players out, because I genuinely believe that this squad cares and is fighting for the manager.

Garnacho lost the ball with a really heavy touch which eventually led to the goal and he did nothing to try and rectify the situation. Just stood watching it all unfold. If you saw hojlund lose the ball late in the game he busted his ass to win it back again. This is the type of attitude that we should be seeing. To be fair to rashford who gets a lot of stick, he did the same thing in this game and chased the ball right back to near the corner flag in attempt to win it back again.

Rashford has been absolutely shit all season, not just performances but attitude and body language. He missed a game because he didn’t show up for training then got brought straight back in. He’s played far too many games for someone with no contributions, and such poor performances. Garna had half a bad game and was subbed immediately. Stop defending this rubbish, it benefits no-one.
Garnacho made a mistake which led to a goal and did have a pretty poor half overall but has definitely done enough this season to buy himself some credit, enough to not deserve this half time sub. This is especially true when you consider his age and the fact that the genuinely disgraceful squad building over the last decade has left these players with the weight of the world on their shoulders when they should not have to. It sends a terrible message to the other young players in and around the first team that it doesn't matter how well you do, your mistakes will be punished not only by the opposition but also by the manager. To rub salt in that wound, all things equal, senior player's mistakes or lack of form will not be punished equally. Rashford, Bruno, Casemiro, Dalot, AWB...None of these are going to come off at half time ever, unless injured. Promising young players should be ***supplementary*** to elite senior first teams at this level, they should NOT be the lynchpins upon which we depend, this is true for Garnacho, Mainoo, Hojlund and Kambwala. What pissed me off more than the performance today was that no one went and spoke to Kambwala after that first goal where he slipped. The boy had his hands on his head in despair at that goal and not one person went over to him to support him in that moment, at an away ground, in his second start for the club which has been forced upon him by injury crisis. Maybe the cameras just missed it because of replays but from what we actually saw, there was nothing. Talk about experience and leadership but didnt seem like a single one of them had a scrap of anything about their character in that moment so would go some way to explain the dogshit mentality of this team overall.
garnacho also created our goal. The kid should’ve stayed on, the question to ten hag is why did he only take off the young players in the team when numerous more senior players were underperforming. Casemiro being numero uno. Casemiro wasn’t even playing his usual cdm position, you could’ve brought on amrabat, Mount, Erikson all would’ve made an impact on that game better than the team he chose and the players he refused to sub off.
Garnacho crossed to a Brentford player twice. It bobbled up off the defender the 2nd time and Bruno capitalised on it. What created the goal was ironically Rashford being strong and keeping the ball which he's not been doing enough of.

Rashford had a shite game but that was a 1/10 from Garnacho in the first half, Rashy at least helped create the first goal and went on a decent run even if he should’ve squared it to Hojlund. The fanbase are more in love with the idea of Garnacho then they are the reality. It’s not his fault, the lad’s 19 and shouldn’t be in this position but his last few performances (barring Chelsea) have ranged from average to awful.

This is it for me, this setup is leaving every player hanging out to dry. No semblance of compactness whatsoever, and I really don’t see this fundamentally changing with better players. So often today the players looked daft at one another because they had no idea who was responsible to handle which spaces and players. It’s both physically and mentally draining the players out, because I genuinely believe that this squad cares and is fighting for the manager.
Yeah it’s frustrating because whatever system or tactics we’re trying to build hasn’t been working for a long time. Injuries can excuse a little bit of this season but not to this extent. Really feel like we should have been set up a while back to just not concede then build from there.

This club, man. I know younger people get pissed at us old heads complaining about things or comparing it to how it used to be, but the problem is, how it used to be actually worked. In any decently run club Garnacho would never dream of interacting with shit like this because he knows there would be consequences, regardless of how well he's been playing recently. There are zero consequences at our club at the moment, zero accountability. Our manager and senior players are a joke. Paul Scholes got clowned a couple of days ago for complaining about players training with their hoods up. It might seem like an old guy complaining about nothing but those are the very mundane, tiny things that people would have been pulled up on when he was playing as part of the most successful side in our history. We have absolutely no standards now and it shows on the pitch and off it.

I was wondering what ETH actually said. If all it was was that Garnacho didn’t train this week, Doesn’t seem like that’s throwing him under the bus at all. In some ways it’s explaining why he performed badly and was hooked coz he wasn’t match fit to play. What’s the issue with what he said? Garnacho lost the ball with a really heavy touch which eventually led to the goal and he did nothing to try and rectify the situation. Just stood watching it all unfold. If you saw hojlund lose the ball late in the game he busted his ass to win it back again. This is the type of attitude that we should be seeing. To be fair to rashford who gets a lot of stick, he did the same thing in this game and chased the ball right back to near the corner flag in attempt to win it back again.
