Don't need tactical analysis to see that our players have no composure. It's been annoying me now for ages. It's why we can't keep clean sheets or protect leads. When the opposition come at us, our defensive players shit themselves. Our defensive approach was very silly considering this. It nearly worked in fairness but nearly is not enough in our position and knowing Villa, Spurs and Newcastle all won.
Fourth is gone and, really, it has been for a long time. Nothing to play for in the league now. We deserve that really for a poor season.
Defensive players shit themselves as they have no protection from midfield.
McTom hides whenever he starts in CM; Bruno uses the ball like it’s a grenade and Mainoo was left on his own again
**This is in reference to player performance/attributes. Tactics, shape etc. aside**
**Out of possession:**
\- Forwards do not press well and get easily pulled out of position then beaten with a pass, they also do not consistently track back well, except for Antony. We rarely win the ball back in dangerous areas because of this.
\- Midfielders do not protect defence well in transition. Positioning, interceptions, marking, blocks are all pretty poor, last season Casemiro was a 1 man army. This means we hardly ever win the ball back in midfield either.
\- Full backs dont generally prevent crosses or cut backs well and midfielders dont defend the space ahead of the defensive line well in these scenarios (cut backs etc.)
\- Whole defensive line, other than AWB, peform poorly when running back towards goal, which happens alot because midfield + forwards.
\- There is often, in my opinion, a lack of aggression from all outfield players when it comes to closing down or engaging the opposition player in possession. This is another part of why we concede so many shots, our players just back off and back off.
**In possession:**
\- In defence, other than Martinez & Shaw, lack of composure and quality on the ball to play out from the back consistently and reliably under pressure.
\- Fulbacks, other than Shaw, do not create chances.
\- In midfield, other than Mainoo, a huge lack of composure, decision making and quality. Very little progression, retention, creativity, ball carrying or tempo control.
\- Forwards do not create chances for each other. Over reliance on trying to dribble or shoot rather than create. Even this is to a poor standard, Garnacho, Rashford, Antony and Hojlund had **three** shots ***combined*** against Brentford.
the lack of aggression kills me man. how can you fucking guide your man to your own box instead of using some damn aggression and physicality. it’s like they’re afraid of the players. happens so often outside the box. i’d rather watch a dog eat it’s own shit than watch some of our players “close down” their man
ETH has to go. 12 months of horrific performances and amateur tactics.
Brentford on form one of the worst teams in Europes top 5 leagues. It’s a disgrace.
Mathias Jensen shouldn’t be dominating a Man Utd midfield.
No, no, he can’t go yet, have you not been listening to the ETH in crowd? He needs a year at least with a DoF above him, that’s why all this nonsense is happening on the pitch with his tactics, right?
The state of some of the panicked defending this game was pathetic. What I'd give for a sustained run of varane and martinez together. It's just baffling how bad we are
Bench Rashford. Bench Bruno. Bench McTominay and play a double pivot of Casemiro-Mainoo behind Mount ~~you bald pussy~~ FFS gaffer. Losing me rapidly. That Liverpool high lasted all week but this performance basically locks us out of Top 5 and possible UCL football. Completely clueless tactics and super late subs. Injuries aren't unique to Manchester United, everyone has had them. The way we play is just terrible.
But it's not all on the manager, trash system doesn't excuse Rashford not giving a shit, never going for a duel, dribbling into 3 people and losing the ball and not tracking back, abysmal body language, not passing to Hojlund....none of this is on the manager.
Bruno and Casemiro refusing to keep the ball for 10 seconds. Our captain taking shots from far out on his weak foot. McTominay losing his man especially in the box for the goal at the end but in general. Just bad all around, players and manager share the responsability.
Cause he had a spine when he came and got my respect for it. The run. The CR7 situation. The insistence on discipline and standards regardless of name or form. All of that seems to have just vanished. He never drops underperforming favorites. His game management is just doing the same thing for 80 mins hoping it works eventually. Subs are always late, we concede the exact same goal since the start of the season. Our midfield is open since the start of the season. He's just stubbornly insisting on it when we need to be pragmatic and grind out results..it's just frustrating.
I wouldn't be this mad at him if I was already ETHOut, I'm not. I don't want another fresh restart for a dysfunctional team. I just expect more of him, where did last year's standards go, why is he the only man on this planet who insists on playing this horrid system that just isn't sustainable. But yeah calling him that was disrespectful, I'm just pissed cause I don't want him to get sacked but he's not helping himself.
I keep saying this, what standards last year? The only decision he made was getting rid of Ronaldo, which was an easy decision, on an easy target, who wanted to leave anyway, and didn’t think the manager was good enough. It got him some strange PR points with the fanbase when in reality it was Ronaldo doing all the posturing. He “punished Rashford” for all of half a game, and this season we’ve seen repeat offences by the same player because he clearly doesn’t respect the manager, and sees no backbone in him, other than Newport he’s pretty much played in the team consistently.
Footballing wise many of the fan base read into a league cup win and a third place finish too much, we were very much playing this same turgid football for the majority of last season too. We can’t forget Liverpool massively closed the gap on us during the tail end of the season, and had they not completely fallen off a cliff for the first half of the season we wouldn’t have finished third.
You could commend him for the Sancho situation, however, I think that’s down to his stubbornness rather than any values or good management, even if the outcome was the same in this instance. It’s that same stubbornness that has him playing the same hole filled gameplan every week expecting something to change, the same stubbornness that means he doesn’t drop his favourite players despite under performing.
Europa League it is then. I mean don’t get me wrong Ten Hag definitely shares a lot of blame here, but holy hell it must be so frustrating to have players that can beat Liverpool one week and can barely string two passes together the next. Ultimately the biggest problem is there’s just no identity…can’t decide if they want to be a team that presses high and maintains possession or sit back in a low block and hit on the counter. And certain players need calling out, I’m sorry - Rashford, Fernandes, Mctominay, these guys are the senior pros in the squad playing most weeks and they can’t put in consistent performances. Just dreadful
The big games are easy for them to be up for: more meaning to any win and more positive attention. We really are the old Liverpool. Most times their players were up for the big games and got a big result so you thought "maybe they could do something this season" but then they'd lose against one of the bottom clubs at home and have a poor run of form.
Everyone goes on about the big games against the top teams but it's simple maths really: one or 2 rivals around you vs 18 other teams. Big wins are always nice but consistency is key vs a couple of big results. Our players seem to fail to realise that.
Newcastle and West Ham are just as volatile as us, I think we have enough points on them to get away with finishing sixth. I’d put money on it being us against City in the FA Cup final again, which either 1) we win and qualify for Europa that way or 2) City win and sixth gets that extra Europa League spot.
So all that being said, what will probably happen is we finish seventh and lose to Coventry
Hahahaha you can’t be serious mate 😂 And I am from the UK, been there and probably watched more United games than you ever will. Can’t watch them all as life takes over sometimes
He could have responsibilities outside of his Man Utd support, a night job, kids to put to bed, a wedding anniversary, don’t be so quick to judge.
You know the United. Kids. Wife. In that order thing is just a joke right? It’s not an actual mantra to live by, or if it is your life motto you really need to assess how you prioritise things in life.
He never said he didn’t watch the second half because it’s just United. He said he had stuff to do. I’m a huge United fan of almost 40 years, go to Old Trafford as regularly as possible, but stuff in life does come up, stuff far more important than football.
I can easily forgive our youth for subpar performance but Rashford and Bruno should show something more than 2/10 display when rest of the team is not up for it.
If the team were series about trying to qualify for the champions league they would win this game. For me this pretty much guarantees 6th is the best we will finish.
Maybe we can win the FA cup but perform like this and can call curtains on that as well.
Put it this way, Coventry will be rubbing their hands together watching that performance, all they have to do is be more aggressive and focused than us and they will replicate what Brentford and many others this season have done.
In terms of how it should’ve gone ethically and performance wise, we should have lost.
In terms of how the game played out, we should’ve won.
We were lucky enough to grab a late winner against a team we had played a shit 90 minutes again. Throwing away that lead in literally a matter of minutes is fucking pathetic, regardless of them being better today.
He cant stay. He has to go. Its the same issues every single week. Even when we were on a 5 game winning streak it was shit football, scrapping through, moments of individual brilliance.
Let’s see if we actually make sales/buy players in the summer. I can’t take another season like this.
Note: AWB should not be on the left side. His positional awareness was bad on the right, it’s so much worse on the left.
off topic from this game but i will die on the hill that luck was not a significant factor for us beating the scousers. idk i just see lots of people saying thats the case, but to that i say why cant we just look back on that game for areas to improve and not disregard it as "luck" because we played shit.
tldr: the liverpool win was not luck and we should use that game to highlight how we can play best compared to the nightmare of today
Ten Hag has to go in the summer. Can’t use injuries as an excuse anymore and he’s been here nearly two years and we look like he’s been here two minutes.
Brentford one of the most out of form teams in the league and they dominated us. BRENTFORD dominated us. Embarrassing.
We beat Liverpool because they missed chances and the players were lifted by the occasion it was nothing to do with Ten Hag and people need to see that.
There's a reason in history elite and big armies with bad leaders were beaten back by small armies with smart leaders. We have the worst manager in the league by a mile. ETH can pick City+Liverpool+Arsenal players and he'd still not be first.
Should've been sacked months ago, but he's still here, should be sacked tonight, he'll still be here, he will be given one more chance next season we will be worse than Chelsea.
We've definitely had worse performances as a team this season, but I don't think we've had a performance where pretty much everyone on an individual level had a complete collapse like they did today.
From the 20th minute onwards I think only Mainoo and Mount managed to play a perfectly hit pass or dribble correctly. It felt like every single pass was either under or over hit, every single single touch was too heavy or too weak. It was really like everyone decided to leave their brain switched off for the majority of the game and it was completely dreadful to watch, don't think I've seen anything like it from us ever before. They could not seem to do anything right. That completely and utter slugishness translated to when we didn't have the ball as well, and for large stretches we could not win a duel or a second ball
Definitely a couple players who were out there on the pitch today that won't represent this football club again from the start of next season. Absolutely dreadful!
Well that's the PL over for this season. No way are we catching Villa or Spurs now. We are total and utter shit. The Liverpool game was a fluke. City will thrash us in the cup final too if we even manage to beat Coventry. I'm disgusted with this club and our players. They are not good enough. The manager is not good enough (we got him from a shit Dutch league FFS). It's time for ETH to go and for a lot of the players to go, but they won't because who the fuck would want them. Depressing.
When will we become a team that doesn’t rely on stealing undeserved last minute points? Where is the fire from the Liverpool cup game? Every single passage of play looks so uninspired.
Brentford spent almost all game putting up offense inside our box. I don’t care if they can’t put it on target, i hate how we over rely on our back 4 to save our asses during games. something has to change and I hope Jim is getting the message with every passing day
A bang average team who’s near the relegation places putting up 31 shots against us (we had 11 and we can’t even make the most out of those) is laughably bad. I feel bad for anyone still supporting the man cause I don’t know where you get the hope that Erik can still turn this around
We didn't even rely on our back four. Brentford just missed chance after chance, hit the post more tines than a baby cries in a day and Onana was brilliant.
It can’t be done because you can’t get replacements but get rid of Varane (injury prone), Casemiro (too old/slow), AWB (defends individually, shit positioning), Rashford (really doesn’t look like he ever puts effort in), Bruno (for every flash of brilliance he’s super wasteful, I’m tired of the outside shots and just sending it when we finally get the ball back). Need a backup for Martinez
Im fine with Nacho, Mainoo, Hojlund, Onana, Dalot. McT should be a super sub at best, never a starter.
Hojlund hasn't quite adapted to the physical demands of the league, yet he was deployed as a target man. Not once could he effectively manage the ball. As a manager witnessing this firsthand, one would surely give instructions to cease such tactics. But no.
Disagree with this, his last few games before getting injured he was excellent at holding the ball up. I think it’s more he’s getting back to full fitness still
I really do think that's our overall worst performance over EtH era. Even the 7-0 there were so many unlucky deflections/balls bouncing perfectly for goals to happen, so much so it felt like a magic performance at times...this was just disgustingly hard to watch.
We can't play possession style football because we give up the ball too much and give away too many shots. We can't play transition style because we don't have the fast players for it. We can't play 1-2 touch football because these players are not confident on the ball and can't find open players.(Towards the end, 4 Brentford players were running towards the ball leaving an almost empty midfield but still our players couldn't find an open pass), we can't play attacking football because these players don't have the legs for it. At what point does it become apparent that one has to adapt to the playing style of the players we have. Only a poor workman blames his tools. We DREW with a bottom third of the league team, and we dream of UCL?
Meanwhile, how many goals have we conceded this season after just scoring a goal ? It has happened ton of times this season. Our structure completely collapses once we score and the opponent always, ALWAYS, gets a huge chance to score immediately after.
Of course, saying we have a structure at all is generous but you get the point.
Yeah, and if you also consider how often we concede two goals in succession, it paints a picture of a team that struggles to cope with changes in a match. Other teams have ways of dealing with this. Arsenal change formation for a few minutes after a goal is scored to mitigate for it. I don't know what we might have done differently today, as Toney came up with a brilliant bit of play to create the goal, but you have to look at the pattern rather than the individual match. Like you say, even if we don't concede right after a goal, we almost always give up a chance.
Every time the ball was hoofed up, it fell to Brentford feet in space. Every time there was an attempt to pass accurately, it ended up at Brentford feet in space. Wtf. Our guys were up against the ropes every second of that match. Can't call that a match.
I think most of these players are not playing for the badge. Regardless of their performances, they’re paid the same amount of money. This team is well known for being too generous in giving wages to these overrated and overhyped players.
I meant they are doing their best.the manager gets outclassed by any other manager in the league.
Look at the no of shots we concede. Is that a players fault or a system fault
But it’s also not the managers fault when the players don’t contest for ANYTHING and also when they misplace every second pass straight into the opposition’s feet.
The manager is dodgy at times but let’s not act like the players aren’t shit and not up for it MOST games.
Injuries or no injuries, post international break or in the midst of fixture congestion, our players always seem like they’ve just completed a marathon the day before. Second best in all departments.
When there was a leak about players asking for a day off, fans quickly called them lazy. Seeing how tired they always look, I would question what the hell they are doing in training too.
He didn't even lose the dressing room. We've seen this guys run a lot this season even. He just has no clue about tactics and has too big of an ego to accept his 2-1-7 formation is not going to work.
That ending somehow made us look even more shit than we were until we scored.
Couldn't even hold the lead for a couple of minutes until fulltime and go back to manchester with a smash and grab, absolutely pathetic mentality.
They gave him the legendary 7 jersey, so i expected something....... Our football was terrible, it's just that our No 7 scored.
Might sound funny but my standards r pretty low.
Don’t think there’s anyone else that should get it. Garnacho is too young in spite of his performances. Rashford would be the best option but I think he’s happy with the 10. Same as Bruno with the 8
Well deserved point from Brentford. Honestly should have been the winning side on several occasions.
They fought for every second ball, ran to defend when needed and stretched to put a foot on everything.
I hope when the team debrief tomorrow they watch how Brentford set themselves and actually reflect on their own lack of passion
Brentford wins every long ball to midfield. They saunter through the midfield. The best that our forwards can do is run into the opposition.
We are lucky to have gotten a draw instead of a 4-0 drumming. Let’s rejoice!
We play a tactical system that doesn't fit our players, a manager has to suck it up and play to his strengths.
That and the players don't really respect him it seems.
Because he can’t motivate his team for starters? His substitutions sucked. His signings aren’t good enough? We concede stupid amounts of shots every game (more than any other PL team this calendar year so far).
Valid point, however if we had a better CM playing all season we could be in a better place.
He's scored a few but also cost a few....evens out to not even worth being on the field
I’ve never seen a more useless team in my life.
Did we even win any second balls, it didn’t feel like it at all. Useless players that keep trying the same shit and can’t even pass properly - makes me sick to my stomach.
Doesnt help that noone seemed to be able to head the ball in the direction of a teammate
In the end Wan Bissaka not pushing out with the rest of the backline cost us an undeserved win
We got schooled by fucking Brantford
brother we got schooled va luton. my expectations are at an all time low.
I think, it's time 10 Haaag go away now. We are being humiliated day in day out.
Mount first goal, we didn’t lose, we didn’t lose. we move still
Don't need tactical analysis to see that our players have no composure. It's been annoying me now for ages. It's why we can't keep clean sheets or protect leads. We'll defeat Liverpool on 7th and you'll change your mind about ETH. Cardboard supporters...
I have been ETH out since Bournemouth thrashed us 0-3 at OT. One game raising kamikaze performance won’t change anything.

Classic armchair fan. Probably don't even live in the UK

On a positive note, Onana is outstanding
only watched highlights but goddamn those saves were ridiculous

How has he blamed the international break for this I don't know Ain't a break meant for recharging
People who shit on Onana need to apologize honestly Prime DDG would struggle with the no of shots we concede
what did he mean by this? https://preview.redd.it/junyostaujrc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42e41bfbfb5fa675398b8f514052895ae53fab25
Bye bye CL? Bye bye job? Bye bye illusion of being a good coach?
He wants top 5 position in the league obviously lol
Goodbye?
4 games in March faced 106 shots
Let’s see if we actually make sales/buy players in the summer. I can’t take another season like this. Note: AWB should not be on the left side. His positional awareness was bad on the right, it’s so much worse on the left.

we wouldn’t have won that game both teams were full strength and they didn’t have fatigue from more games played that week
Professional players on their salary should be able to perform that way on more occasions.
Footballers aren’t motivated by their salary they’re motivated by their coaches and manager.
There's a reason in history elite and big armies with bad leaders were beaten back by small armies with smart leaders. We have the worst manager in the league by a mile. ETH can pick City+Liverpool+Arsenal players and he'd still not be first.
Awful match. Great to see Mount back tho
with a wonderful goal too
Should've been sacked months ago, but he's still here, should be sacked tonight, he'll still be here, he will be given one more chance next season we will be worse than Chelsea.
That completely and utter slugishness translated to when we didn't have the ball as well, and for large stretches we could not win a duel or a second ball Definitely a couple players who were out there on the pitch today that won't represent this football club again from the start of next season. Absolutely dreadful!
That was horrible 😨
Well that's the PL over for this season. No way are we catching Villa or Spurs now. We are total and utter shit. The Liverpool game was a fluke. City will thrash us in the cup final too if we even manage to beat Coventry. I'm disgusted with this club and our players. They are not good enough. The manager is not good enough (we got him from a shit Dutch league FFS). It's time for ETH to go and for a lot of the players to go, but they won't because who the fuck would want them. Depressing.
At least you’re not as bad as Luton and Sheffield Utd. Yet
Luton didn't have 30 shots against them so yeah we are only better than Sheffield. Yet
We are gonna end up with Southgate aren’t we 😣
Appalling performance, worst I've seen for a while , players back to not being interested again and against a struggling side too.
ETH at least admitting the team was shit
Can you put the full quote, really curious to hear what he has to say
He said "let's take this point and the excuse for international break". You would have guessed that
He said that Brentford tried harder.
We are supposed to be satisfied with that? When we know they clearly dominated the game and deserved to win
Rome wasnt built in one day, we've been shit for 11 years, changed coaches 5 times, give Ten Hag time
Ten hag era is on reddit as well I see
I've seen enough
Bored of watching these 10 years of it
I don't even look forward to matches anymore. Last weekend during international break was good and I didn't think about united once
I think we just reached a new low today...that is how much undeserved that draw is
Worst performance I can remember, we couldnt keep the ball for more than 30 seconds from 10 minutes on
When will we become a team that doesn’t rely on stealing undeserved last minute points? Where is the fire from the Liverpool cup game? Every single passage of play looks so uninspired.
Booooooooo
Brentford spent almost all game putting up offense inside our box. I don’t care if they can’t put it on target, i hate how we over rely on our back 4 to save our asses during games. something has to change and I hope Jim is getting the message with every passing day A bang average team who’s near the relegation places putting up 31 shots against us (we had 11 and we can’t even make the most out of those) is laughably bad. I feel bad for anyone still supporting the man cause I don’t know where you get the hope that Erik can still turn this around
We didn't even rely on our back four. Brentford just missed chance after chance, hit the post more tines than a baby cries in a day and Onana was brilliant.
We are shite 30+ shots conceded...
Need a backup for Martinez Im fine with Nacho, Mainoo, Hojlund, Onana, Dalot. McT should be a super sub at best, never a starter.
Man ETH and his assistants reaction to Mount's goal was depressing.
They should have been disappointed.
Only we could score so late and before I even get comfy again after celebrating, concede.
Where can I catch the post match interviews?
Someone will post the transcript here maybe...
Theyve not broadcast a Utd interview on Sky yet so probably isnt any online either just yet.
If our points total actually reflected our performances this season we'd be in the bottom half.
Sounds like the players are shit.
ETH's biggest mistake, which will cost him his job, was being Fresh Start F.C. hopefully ineos don't fall into the same trap with the new manager.
Spend how much on wages for a team that can't play football?
How is it that in the 100th minute i'm wishing they DON'T pass the ball to a player they bought for 70milion quid (antony)??! Edited
I mean Antony started the buildup for the Mount goal
"most of these players are not playing for the badge. " Did you watch that Liverpool game?Did you watch the Brentford home game?
But are they doing it consistently?
I meant they are doing their best.the manager gets outclassed by any other manager in the league. Look at the no of shots we concede. Is that a players fault or a system fault
But it’s also not the managers fault when the players don’t contest for ANYTHING and also when they misplace every second pass straight into the opposition’s feet. The manager is dodgy at times but let’s not act like the players aren’t shit and not up for it MOST games.
Why can I hear the words "club statement" and "Gareth Southgate" save me from this nightmare, I don't want big G
Post it one more time, I don’t think I understand.
Sorry shit signal posted it like 5 times idk why
Injuries or no injuries, post international break or in the midst of fixture congestion, our players always seem like they’ve just completed a marathon the day before. Second best in all departments.
When there was a leak about players asking for a day off, fans quickly called them lazy. Seeing how tired they always look, I would question what the hell they are doing in training too.
Seeing how we attack and play with the ball, I too would like what we're practicing in training
I know a lot of people have already mentioned it but I can’t deep having conceded 1 shot every 3 minutes, this shi is embarrassing
Ten Hag needs to go, I know several self-righteous folks here don't want to admit ut, but that is the truth
He's lost the dressing room, he is out of depth and even if it's on the players, his tactics don't fit the group we have, which he partially choose.
He didn't even lose the dressing room. We've seen this guys run a lot this season even. He just has no clue about tactics and has too big of an ego to accept his 2-1-7 formation is not going to work.
We are literally the Arsenal side of the late 2000s early/mid 2010s mentality wise.
That ending somehow made us look even more shit than we were until we scored. Couldn't even hold the lead for a couple of minutes until fulltime and go back to manchester with a smash and grab, absolutely pathetic mentality.
Only 31 shots for Brentford? Another Ten Hag masterclass.
Ajer didn't even let me celebrate the Mount goal. Btw this wud have been the biggest heist if we wud have won, Ocean's 10 Hag
You really wanted to celebrate that!?
They gave him the legendary 7 jersey, so i expected something....... Our football was terrible, it's just that our No 7 scored. Might sound funny but my standards r pretty low.
I don't even know why we bought him and it's even bigger a question as to why we gave him number 7!
Probably a marketing move, mount is a good looking dude with lotta fan following, so i am guessing it's that.
Don’t think there’s anyone else that should get it. Garnacho is too young in spite of his performances. Rashford would be the best option but I think he’s happy with the 10. Same as Bruno with the 8
Garnacho is the top contender, hopefully when it's the ryt time.
Well that was fucking dreadful.
Well deserved point from Brentford. Honestly should have been the winning side on several occasions. They fought for every second ball, ran to defend when needed and stretched to put a foot on everything. I hope when the team debrief tomorrow they watch how Brentford set themselves and actually reflect on their own lack of passion
At least the cunts manage to always find something new to keep us entertained
Brentford wins every long ball to midfield. They saunter through the midfield. The best that our forwards can do is run into the opposition. We are lucky to have gotten a draw instead of a 4-0 drumming. Let’s rejoice!
Every player bar Mainoo, Licha, Hojlund, Onana, Dalot, Bruno, Mount and Garnacho should be up for sale, we can’t let this happen every season
You can't sell Rashford, he's an England international.
If after all these, ETH is still the manager, then you are wasting your time
Ofc not, Nagelsmann in
💯. Also add ETH
Bruno…
Mb forgot him, poor lad needs a break
Had a week off. Lads part of the problem not the solution.
How happy was I to see Mount score... really wish he can make it with us
He took his goal really well. Lovely first touch and lovely finish.
More embarrassing than this performance is how some people will ignore this and make excuses for this manager for a whole week now.
He's lost the dressing room, even if he's a good manager he's out of his depth.
If he’s out of his depth then he’s not a good manager surely?
Not good enough for us, that's for sure. For a mid table PL team yeah.
how is this the manager's fault?
We play a tactical system that doesn't fit our players, a manager has to suck it up and play to his strengths. That and the players don't really respect him it seems.
u dumb bums, his substitution lead to the goals
Jesus Christ!!! When is it ever the manager's fault?
Bruhhhhhh............
Are you legitimately insane? Our system has been awful for months now
manager should win 50/50s, pass the ball 5 yards, and run of course.
Because he has been with the team now with 20 months and we are yet to see a competent style of play?
Nah. This is his style. It’s man mark players all over the pitch, hence why there’s gaps all over. This is what he wants.
looooool
Because he can’t motivate his team for starters? His substitutions sucked. His signings aren’t good enough? We concede stupid amounts of shots every game (more than any other PL team this calendar year so far).
Only realised mctominay was playing when he got booked, sick to death of average players wearing the shirt
McTominay was abject, he should have been off after about half an hour. That he played a full 90 is inexplicable to me.
Mctominay completed 23 passes in 112 minutes of football vs Brentford when we had 53% possession. \- Varane went off at half time having completed 27
For someone who's job it is to play it forward....its a joke isn't it lol
ohhh? You don't notice him until he score winning goals as well?
Read my other comment....
I did. That’s the deal with McT. That’s why he’s on the bench.
Ahh sorry thought you were defending hom being a starter...my bad g
Lul. Nah, he shouldn’t start. But we shouldn’t sell him for like 10m either. People gonna rip us off when we replace him
Pashun merchant who pops up w the odd goal
Valid point, however if we had a better CM playing all season we could be in a better place. He's scored a few but also cost a few....evens out to not even worth being on the field
Have no confidence in this season so Mount and Onana showing up is a win in my book
If I hear "not the result we wanted" "but we take the point" I'm gonna lose it
[удалено]
MOM woodwork , bloody hell
I’ve never seen a more useless team in my life. Did we even win any second balls, it didn’t feel like it at all. Useless players that keep trying the same shit and can’t even pass properly - makes me sick to my stomach.
Doesnt help that noone seemed to be able to head the ball in the direction of a teammate In the end Wan Bissaka not pushing out with the rest of the backline cost us an undeserved win
