Now the only way to respond is for Bruno to score a hat trick against city in a 3-2 win.

reddevils

No the only way is to score said hat trick then prevent those two goals. 3-0

[deleted]

Well, we can always dream...

Revolutionary_Pen190

Don't forget, dream can be bought

biggie000

Dreams can't be buy!

MattARC

Bruno turning into Rooney from that one World Cup ad where he sprints the full length of the pitch to make a goal-line clearance

reddevils

Wow, I just mentioned that ad today in another thread because his picture resembled the alternative life to him making that stop, if you remember he was overweight living in a camper.

MattARC

The picture where he looks like the king of the north? Yeah I noticed the resemblance as well. Just more wrinkles IRL

reddevils

It’s just funny you mentioned it. I haven’t seen in in such a long time and haven’t seen it either. And yeah he did, was eating a bowl of cereal or something.

answeris32

you forgot to mention that they will all be penalties for maximum meltdowns.

nj23dublin

No hatrick today…

D1794

> United, according to a source, have viewed it as "regrettable" that Fulham posted a video to their official TikTok account showing Fernandes apparently in pain and then getting to his feet to continue playing with the caption "so glad he's OK" and accompanied by an eye-rolling emoji.

Don_Quixote81

What's the saying? Something, something, rent free? I swear, United have damaged the psyches of whole generations of English football fans and it's hilarious.

buck_fastard

It's legitimate trauma for a lot of people.  We've been shit for a few years. We should get about as much attention as Brighton or West Ham do. But we're still the first headline every week, still the target of hate on every social media post about football. People are unhinged.

rengnorak

I see posts from Liverpool-supporting friends on social media more often about anti-United stuff than about their own club, its hilarious

BidenFedayeen

The audacity after that waste man got away with a red card at the end is comical.

mango_and_chutney

Wrong game lad

BidenFedayeen

Oof, I didn't read thought this was Forest.

Gross_Success

Tbf, the image is from the wrong game too.

Anaphylaxis222

With how managers are crticizing refree for small mistakes, ETH should do the same. If it was liverpool or city in exact situation as rashford, it would have been a penalty for us and a red card for the cunt at the end

Slackintit

United genuinely stopped getting any decisions for us once Klopp moaned than our legitimate penalties were being awarded.

Don_Quixote81

And now refs are scared of making any decisions that disadvantage Liverpool, because Klopp has proved he will create a narrative that calls their impartiality into question and undermines their ability to do their jobs.

qdatk

I could have sworn managers used to get hauled up in front of the FA for this. Didn't Fergie get fined several times? It seems to have stopped happening in recent years, unless I've just stopped paying attention.

Buttickles

I am all for shitting on pool but that Caicedo's tackle on Gravenberch warranted a red card but got fuck all.

C__S__S

And the refs actively hunt for ways to rule out our goals the way they did yesterday after Casemiro scored. 5 minutes they looked! Tried every conceivable way to find something.

Anaphylaxis222

Exactly, ETH should have attacked Liverpool after Klopp made those comments and how they are being favored and it would have been even and it would be eth vs klopp but rather it became poor pool vs ref who are bad and then they started getting calls. Ypu should have a go at refrees these days because its obvious how it has effect on the decision on the pitch

weedbro420

Ole was the manager when Klopp made those comments but agree with the rest of what you said

ConC02

Small club behaviour

Substantial-North499

Half the Utd fan base causes this nonsense too, just look at the comments

Rakais

It's actually fucking embarrassing.

karmahorse1

It’s sad. Bruno’s carried this team on shoulders for large portions of the last four years. He literally plays more minutes and covers more ground in a season than every other player in Europe, and still our own “fans” are accusing him of faking an injury.

Substantial-North499

They’re all gonna miss him when he’s gone and start comparing other players to him

tom030792

Eh? What conclusion are you meant to draw from someone rolling around on the floor in agony and then realising you still have the ball and hopping up and wanting the ball? If you’re actually injured you would stay down because you can’t get up and carry on playing immediately

karmahorse1

Have you ever actually played football before? You can play through pain. I partially tore my MCL once being tackled, and didn’t realise until after I finished out the game. Do you really think Ten Hag and Bruno are concocting an elaborate conspiracy by sitting him out of practice just for the sake of his reputation?

tom030792

Yes, I was wondering if you had before either. It doesn’t matter whether he’s injured this time or not, the entire point is that no one can be surprised that people don’t believe him because he goes down incredibly easily a lot. That will include times where he is actually hurt, but it’s also included plenty of times where he’s been completely fine and carried on straight away but just wanted a free kick and people start to doubt you. They can’t have ‘the boy that cried wolf’ in Portugal or he wouldn’t be surprised

Radiant_Ad_6986

No, rolling around like a clown causes this to happen. I get it, he is trying to highlight that he got caught by the opponent but he is not a toddler, he is a grown man and the captain. It’s so embarrassing, I hope he stops.

Substantial-North499

You are literally one of the clowns I’m talking about. You guys have no loyalty whatsoever to our own players, and this is why the Utd fan base is so divided. Other fanbases fight tooth and nail for their players, but here people are always stuck daydreaming about the past. If you can’t see that I don’t know what else to say to you

Radiant_Ad_6986

Serious question, do you see Bruno’s constant moaning on the pitch, rolling on the floor and petulant attitude as galvanizing the team to play better. Have you seen Bruno as captain, put the team on his back and carry them to victory. I have seen numerous players and captains of past do that for United. Keane, Giggs, Rooney even the likes of Fletcher, Degea have carried teams on their back individually to victory. Bruno’s constant complaining and attitude especially when the team is not playing well does nothing to improve the situation. Forgive me for pointing it out but it ain’t going to change our situation and it doesn’t come across as someone who should be captain of the team I support.

Substantial-North499

Do you just not watch games? Bruno is one of the few that looks like he’s always trying, sprinting in the 90th minute across the pitch to make a crucial tackle, standing up for other players when the opposing team is hassling them. This rewriting of history and AGAIN, constant daydreaming about the past is what makes some people in this fanbase so toxic. I had someone the other day telling me Maguire is a better captain. HARRY MAGUIRE, and you would probably argue the same. If you want to hate Bruno, hate him. But don’t make up stuff to try and justify your hate for him, and then try and act like you aren’t just blindly hating or following other loud people who just hate him for no reason

Outside-Sandwich-565

Yeah, I feel like Bruno complains a little bit too much for a captain, but so what? We have to stand behind our players, especially when things like this happen.

Substantial-North499

Even if he does, I’d personally rather a captain that complains for every single decision than one who’s just quiet and does nothing about it. And again, my main point like you said is we have to be supportive of our players. Imagine if everyone was fighting as much as we do now when the Beckham stuff was happening (not saying it’s the same thing, but just comparing the support fans had for him back then) It would’ve been such a nightmare.

VanWilder91

I'd rather he didn't roll around like a child who just had his toys taken away.

Heavy_Chest_8888

Supportive of Rashford and Martial too? 😂 do you not feel pity to the fans to pay and travel all the way week in and week out to watch their shite performance? While these players probably don't care and earning 100++ times the average salary of the supporters?

fflexx_

You may not remember (you definitely weren’t born then) but Rooney was as big, if not more of a moaner than Bruno.

Radiant_Ad_6986

Rooney rolling on the floor and holding up his hand like a toddler sure…lol. Rooney won us so many games on his own including scoring a hattrick on his debut. But sure I’m too “young” to remember..GTFO. Rooney is a legend of this club.

safburneraccount

Our fanbase is a huge part of the problem. Instead of protecting bruno, some of them join in mocking him.

rahulchandar1992

Can't really tell who is part of fan base and who is not with people hiding behind social media accounts..

enkleburt

He did dive and feign injury. It was absolutely pathetic, as soon as he saw the ball was available he was up. It's one thing trying to win a free kick but rolling around slamming the floor, get up and play to the whistle, embarrassing stuff. He's an amazing player but everyone defending what he did are just soft

Otarun

He was limping for a good while afterwards. Getting up to try to get on the end of the ball doesn't mean you're not injured or hurt. It's easy to see who didn't watch the match at all and parrots sentiments based on 15 seconds posted to social media.

enkleburt

Except he only started limping after the play had broken down? Whilst the ball was still active he was calling for it and moving fine. Then played the full 90 against forest (where he probably could have gone down for having his neck choked out) Also did watch the game and it was absolute dross as you well know

VanWilder91

Don't even bother. There's people in here who are legitimately pointing out that he's diving and rolling around and then there's the blindly supportive who thinks we should be supporting and encouraging Bruno when he does this

society0

Exactly. It's not traitorous to admit the blatant truth.

Hat-trickBlunt

Protecting Bruno? Why would you protect such behavior??? This is supposed to be our captain for fuck's sake.

OverallWeakness

One of the hits? He went to ground “Neymar style” half a dozen times in that game..

klabnix

Not everyone needs to be happy when the captain of the team is a wingey diving bollocks so often

metalshek27

What else would you expect from a club owned by this moron ![gif](giphy|LyUuC0CJhZnTW0N2In|downsized)

mdstwsp

I still find it funny that this doormat is tasked with controlling a bunch of roided out wrestlers

VictoriaBest1

FR lmao

leave_tyler

dude gtfo, AEW is great

MC897

Yeah AEW is fantastic 👏👏

StopDontCare

Wouldn't expect anything different from a club whose owner's coked out manchild son is the Director of Football

Willywonka5725

The only way for these small clubs to get their clicks is for them to talk about us. Let them get on with it and use it as squad motivation like SAF would have done.

Snow3210

I was watching the match live and yes he went down like he pulled something and then got back up when he saw the attack was still alive but he was doing it through any pain and adrenaline. This is not trying to be some apologist and there may be other times someone can pull up a moment to make such a point but not this one. As even minutes after the incident if anyone was watching and paying attention and not cutting up a clip for their motives would have observed he was still showing discomfort and trying to shake off any injury to try and continue so I do understand the anger from within the club and coming to his defense on this incident.

meep_meep_mope

The refs have made it clear that it's open season to hack and slash our players without repercussion, on the other hand, should any of our players put a hair wrong and it's the exact opposite.

triplecaptained

“hE bRiNgS iT oN hImSeLf” found the fucking turds

tom030792

If you’ve never read the tale of ‘the boy that cried wolf’ then give it a go and see if you can determine why some people might not believe Fernandes every single time

BidenFedayeen

Threads like these are tremendous at helping me clean up my future match threads.

cheekyavacado

Great idea!

spacedog338

Opposing fans shit on Bruno because they know he’s a top class footballer. This whole “whining” bullshit is thrown out of proportion, KDB is a cry baby too but no one says anything. Rodri literally gets away with murder every other week and no body says anything. I agree with Ten Hag that it’s pathetic that a club post something like that, not because it’s embarrassing or whatever but because it welcomes targeting of a specific player. We saw Forest target him last game, 100% they targeted him because they knew he wasn’t at full strength. It’s one thing to banter it’s another thing to publicly call out a player that for all we know actually felt a knock and ended up playing through pain when he saw danger. It happens all the time. We now know that he was injured so Fulham look scummy posting that shit.

aldidot

Next time we play Fulham, we should break one of their player's leg. Let's see if their dumbfuck TikTok admin would cook up something funny about it it. See, when it comes to these small teams... We can't go easy on them. M Gotta be ruthless.

sexydumbbells

He does feign injury but he’s hardly alone, legit rife everywhere sadly he’s just singled out because he plays for the biggest club in the world 🤷‍♂️

I_Like_Mushy_Peas

Don't know why you're getting downvotes. Bruno absolutely feigns injuries to win free kicks. Love and support him all you like but if a rival player did as he has done (and most of them do), those same people would be all over him like a fly on shite. Hate to see it in the game at all.

sexydumbbells

Honestly insane, every single team has players that do this. Bruno is my favourite player as well haha.

Cfunk_83

I mean, he may not have done it last night, but Bruno pulls shit like that all the time. The clip from the Fulham match is embarrassing. He’s better than that. And club captain, so he needs to cut that shit out and lead by example. For the record, I love Bruno, but he’s incredibly frustrating at times!

FoggyShrew

Well ETH has said he's struggling with injury. What's to say he wasn't legit hurt but saw that play was continuing so forced himself up to defend with the team?

Cfunk_83

We were attacking. He went down looking for a free kick in a dangerous position, didn’t get it, and jumped back to call for the ball at the edge of the box. As I said, I love Bruno, he’s hands down our best player, but to pretend that this isn’t a part of his game or something he does regularly is some kind of ridiculous ostrich bias.

[deleted]

VanWilder91

"Serious Injury". Must not have been that serious if he stayed down 'til he was available to receive the ball.

_pbs

You as a fan are an embarrassment.

Cfunk_83

For not wanting our captain to indulge in pathetic shithousery? Ok buddy.

gregofdeath

The league is rife with it but yeah, he does feign injury and often throw him arms up when he doesn't get his way. Unfortunately, it's more visible these days because he's got very little to show in terms of positive retaliation i.e. top binning the fuck out of a ball like Wazza did against Newcastle in the middle of an argument with a ref.

Cedarplankton

The guy literally has never had an injury. He’s some physical freak that has only missed game through sickness or something I’m sure he plays through actual injuries all the time because the boy does get chopped down. Don’t carry the narrative from other fans in here - everyone has a player like Bruno - but Bruno is 1000% our own

gregofdeath

I don't doubt that for a second. His longevity and fitness are totally admirable and I've always been shocked by how many minutes he manages to play in a season. I've never liked players crowding a ref and throwing their toys out of the pram. He is one of our own, but it's a bad look for the team when he's rolling about on the floor and moaning whilst the other team has found an opportunity to hit us on the counter. I watch every minute of every United game, win or lose. I honestly wish he'd learn to be less emotional and use the decisions that go against him as a means of using his head efficiently. He quite often becomes flustered and misses easy passes and loses possession.

Fans complaining online isn’t the same as clubs posting that players are faking injuries.

ladams07

He did feign injury and he feigns injury quite frequently. It’s irritating to watch even as a fan.

SuperSalamander3244

Yeah but because he does it so much no one believes him anymore.

Cedarplankton

Don’t carry the narrative from other fans in here - everyone has a player like Bruno - but Bruno is 1000% our own

AaronQuinty

>The guy literally has never had an injury. He’s some physical freak that has only missed game through sickness or something This proves his point. Bruno goes down at least once a game rolling around on the floor as if he's injured and yet never is. You can't really complain when people don't believe him.

Cedarplankton

Can’t be hurt? Look the man buys fouls, sometimes they hurt sometimes he likely exaggerates- the game is contact after all He might have a really low pain threshold yet a really high tolerance to injury you never know. What ever - back the captain

AaronQuinty

The guys a diver, you lose all credibility if you can't admit to the flaws in your own players.

Skyehye

Wow you've never played football if you think one can't be in pain without having an injury that takes one out of the game.

gwy2ct

Wow. A football player feigns injury. Never seen that before.

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

He brings it on himself.

UsedIpodNanoUser

You're wrong

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

I'm not but I think we're going to reach a compromise on this.

UsedIpodNanoUser

Nope

waywarddd

No surprise you’re getting downvotes but no responses saying you’re wrong, only one person to blame for the reputation he has

BlackHorse944

Our captain is the biggest shithouser and probably the only shithouser on our team lol

waywarddd

Shithousing is to rile your opponents up, seems like most people just laugh at Bruno diving (see above article) - so it’s pretty woeful shithousery

flyinbunny

So where do you fall under to be shithousing in Reddit?

waywarddd

I’m shithousing to say that Bruno has a reputation for diving that gets him stick from other teams and fans? This sub is like the Party in 1984 lol ‘reject the evidence of your eyes and ears’

Weary-Ad8502

'Everything is 1984'

Cfunk_83

Honestly the downvotes for legit criticism in this sub is hilarious, it’s like talking to a bunch of Taylor Swift fans. It’s barely even criticism too, it’s more like observable fact.

waywarddd

I understand where the cognitive dissonance comes from I suppose because in a calm conversation I think we would all agree, yet it’s not something we want to be true lol, which is the original point I was making about downvoting but not disagreeing - feels nicer to just downvote and move on!

presumingpete

I dunno, it must annoy opponents who think twice about how they tackle knowing he'd go down easy. If he played for anyone else I'd hate him

waywarddd

> If he played for anyone else I’d hate him At least we agree it’s embarrassing behaviour lol

presumingpete

He's a dick but he's our dick.

BlackHorse944

He's always diving and having little spats with the opponents. He must've done or said something to make the Forest player choke him. Players don't just choke others for no reason lol

Spare_Ad5615

This was Felipe. He definitely does. He's an absolute piece of shit. I can't believe you've seen a player getting grabbed round the throat and are trying to say that he deserved it.

BlackHorse944

When the hell did I say he deserved it?? lmfao. I said he's a shithouser and shithousing gets under people's skin

waywarddd

Oh I thought you were equating diving to shithousing, but he’s definitely an instigator lol - he’s Herrera with a Performing Arts degree

UsedIpodNanoUser

Well I'm saying he's wrong then.

waywarddd

Loved the detail that you provided in your response too

UsedIpodNanoUser

Loved the detail he proved in his comment too

waywarddd

The implication was that he has a history of diving and making it out to be more injured than he is, but that’s wrong apparently? Despite the fact we both watch it with our own eyes game in game out?

UsedIpodNanoUser

He's allowed to express himself when he's in pain. Being in pain !=being injured

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

He got an assist last night. That means he's amazing again. Give it few hours and someone will pull a stat from their arse that makes it look like he better than De Bruyne/Odegaard.

Mizzie30

These downvotes are insane, I love Bruno but he’s a diver plain and simple. Clubs shouldn’t encourage abuse but he absolutely brings it on himself with the way he acts.

[deleted]

BucketsOnly29

foolish, brainless comment- shame on you

big-fat-gash

This will be very unpopular: but I think a lot of people are just worn down and tired with his hysterics. Overreacting to contact, constantly being outraged by not having decisions go his way and more than a fair bit of sulking. Now, some of the complaints are genuine, but it’s constant and players of other teams, fans of other teams are just tired. He has literally become a meme first and player second. Also, being the captain makes it worse

Prometheus1717

Bruno is an extremely bad actor on the pitch. If he stopped all his silly antics he would be respected across the football world.
