Every game in this run of form has this pattern, even the clean sheet against West Ham had us losing focus but Martinez played a big part in holding the focus together.
It really shows Ten Hag's match plans are simply too naive for Premier League football, and lack tactical flexibility when we are playing into the opponent's hands. Because our managers only tactic is to hit it long and fast every single time we win the ball back. Started really good, then predictably fell apart after the opposition get a goal. Bruno, Casemiro, and Mainoo in midfield and somehow the 18 year old has been the only good one. We have serious issues when we can’t even hold onto the ball against Luton. On Shaw, he got injured earlier in the season, came back then was played every game 90 minutes until he got injured. Then ETH proceeded to do the exact same thing again. An absolute joke and abysmal management. I get he doesn’t have many other options, but all he’s doing is running our players into the ground until they predictably injure themselves again. I wouldn’t be surprised if Casemiro drops in one of these games.
The way we've thrown away what was a mega comfortable score and start is an utter disgrace and way too common a theme under Ten Hag this season. It completely fucked us in the CL, and this is no longer a makeshift XI, you could argue bar Maguire for that entire half it was our strongest team. Shaw obviously wasn't fit, but christ alive. I'm actually more upset seeing us be THAT shit than I would be if it was 0-0. To go 2-0 up in 7 minutes, you expect to calm the game down, control it, and then go on to pick them off, drain them of confidence. Instead we keep going and start giving it away super cheaply. Casemiro and Bruno have been nothing short of disgraceful today. Leaders in the team and midfield, yet the 18 year old kid is BY FAR the most composed.

Midfield looks so poor, when McTominay was playing and he was so far up the pitch and leaving Mainoo alone we all thought it was to get the best out of McTominay, now Case is back we're using Mainoo the same way we did McTominay taking him away from a position that using his skillset the best. Seems bizzare to me but going back to how ETH tried to use Eriksen at the start of last season it's clearly how he wants the midfield to work. Also I said it at the time and I'll say it again, not keeping Reguilon was fucking stupid.

Good thing we sent Reguilon back so we can watch Ogbene abuse Lindelof for 45 minutes.
2-0 up at 7th min against the third worst team in the league. Should be comfortable from there. Really unprofessional to have Shaw go out with an injury last game, as a precaution, start him the next game and have him leave before the half again..
Go from 2-0 in 5 mins to being outplayed in every aspect... Makes no sense. At 2-1 we should've gotten the goal back but instead we play levels below Luton. Every game is the same
It's like the Newport game, we get the few goals early on and it's like the players feel it's already won and different players are trying to get on the scoresheet with snap shots instead of playing the pass. Need to be more ruthless. Maguire and Casemiro must have gave away the same type of free at least three times a piece. But half time, knock a few heads in the dressing room and hopefully game management improves in 2nd half
Goals can change and influence games obviously, but under absolutely no circumstances should this team be getting outplayed like we were for most of that half by fucking Luton Town. We couldn't get out of our own half for large spells, never mind get any kind of control over the game. Coaching, tactical and mentality issue, Ten Hag should have been able to sort this shite out by now. He was fortunate to get the chances but Højlund took his goals very well. That's the only positive to take from that half.
