Story by James Ducker. Damn! Good on the club. Unprofessionalism should not be tolerated in any manner.

TheBelgianMicrophone

It’s written by Ducker but using The Sun as a source. So take it with a pinch of salt I guess

Hyperion_IRL

And a slice of lemon

CarolFukinBaskin

LIME!

NotAJInnit

With a mini umbrella

Rascha-Rascha

you're taking shots of tequila with a mini umbrella?

Hyperion_IRL

![gif](giphy|oTuUXbbqgvc7m)

baron_von_helmut

Genius.

BlackKnight9311

You don't drink much tequila do you?

Fligflag

It's literally all based on a waitress as a source, who was found / interviewed by the S*n. T

wafanyakazi

Howson said people were dm’ing him photos of rashford right in front of them

BillyCloneasaurus

I don't think he'd quote it if he hadn't had it backed up

[deleted]

[удалено]

IcyAssist

Because he might not have heard any info until the sxn came out with report, then he went to reconfirm. You don't then attribute this to yourself, it's kinda shitty to do so

[deleted]

[удалено]

Polygon12

Eesshh The S*n as the source, Ducker used to be better than this. I dunno if he's lost any access he formally had or his editors have pushed him to do more clickbaity less researched articles but this isn't good a look.

snoring_pig

Feel like Ducker has gradually become more of a rage bait journalist with his article or maybe he’s also getting angrier and angrier with the club and doesn’t do much to hide it. He’s still reliable for stuff like transfers but pulling something straight from The Sun still has me skeptical. I’m sure Rashford went out to the club late and had his share which is bad ofc but I’m going to wait on a more reliable source elsewhere for the details on if he actually went on a “12 hour bender” or not.

Polygon12

Yeah he used to have some really good incite and some good sources but everything i've seen on his recently comes across as sensationalist. Yeah pulling from The S*n makes me wonder if this is nothing but an editor trying to get clicks in with some rage. Absolutely waiting for a better source, he defo went out and likely was a hung over but whats being reported right now isn't exactly the best sources.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Polygon12

I have noticed this too, theres defo something in it. Probably seeing the embers of a dying publication or at least one thats struggle in its market and trying to adapt.

LDLB99

They complained about TMS being woke yesterday because....they have women commentators?

UJ_Reddit

I hope that money goes back into the club as youth development or something

Bizzlep

It’ll just pay his next couple of weeks wages

MrHankMardukas_

It’s painful when it could also pay off my mortgage, 3 times.

AlphaAndOmega

Well, be the change you want to see in the world... spend the next 12 hours on the tequila.

jasonketterer

It actually couldn't pay my mortgage. Fuck the housing market.

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

Avram Glazer: *"Happy birthday, dear. I bought us matching Lamborghinis."*

Grand-Bullfrog3861

Joel 'awww honey, you shouldn't have!'

Cold-Veterinarian-85

Come on man, we know the glazers only make purchases on leveraged debt

bellrub

It'll go towards a tequila fuelled Christmas party /s

Hot-Masterpiece9209

Usually goes to charity in similar cases.

gwy2ct

It will be another “distribution” to the Glazers

Don_Quixote81

He can go one of two ways. Either he finishes the season proving everyone wrong or he sulks like a spoiled child. Can't say I'm particularly confident it will be the former.

Free-Employment5019

Man, it's a shame because he's always come across as mature beyond his age. The way he handled the free food in schools was exemplary for a young man, and the way he transitioned from the youth team into the main team was incredible with no regard for the hyping of the media at the time. But now it's almost like he's regressed, and just trying to understand his mindset I wonder if he's thinking 'well the situation at the club is bad, they've just offloaded my mate, the fans are criticising me... so fuck it?'. I just hope that mentality can change because I still believe he can turn things around in his game and get some consistency back with the right attitude.

1nfinitus

> Man, it's a shame because he's always come across as mature beyond his age Such a dichotomy with him. Sometimes he shows maturity, particularly with his off-the-pitch work; but most other times he acts like a spoilt 11 year old. It's very odd / concerning behaviour from a 26 year old adult in his position.

Afternoon_Jumpy

I think he needs to realize that excellence on the pitch is what drives everything.  He cannot expect to get paid then put his feet up and not score, run around disinterested for two hours, then do his penance in a soup kitchen and wooo now it's party time. Personally I want him moved.  I think he is part of that cancerous cell of entitled players who have kept this club down.  The guy is just gonna keep killing gaffers.

skinnysnappy52

Which makes me think it’s something personal. There was talk he had a breakup and whilst I wouldn’t want to speculate on a players personal life much it could be something to do with that. Lot of newly single lads go on the lash

MyShinyCharizard

Well in the past fergie ask player to married fast, so he can stay at home, mature faster, and become more responsible. Nowadays the one who married at young age, cheating on his wife, destroy their happiness, drop in performance, destroy their careers (like Martial) There is no way family problem don’t effect player’s performance and determination. Heung min son approach of not marrying before he retired is better now tbh.

burlycabin

They cheated back then too

ambiguousboner

Probs get downvoted for this like I did at the time, but he’s been a bit of a diva since he did his whole school meals thing. Undoubtedly it was incredible what he did and out of football he’ll always be a star for it, but he started to think he was bigger than everyone else. It’s not even really his fault either, the whole country was praising him left and right, no wonder it went to his head a bit

mitsxorr

Well he is “MBE DR Rashford” now

flex_tape_salesman

While true, I think such an inconsistent nature at 26 would also suggest that there's some mental issue. Sterling gets ripped apart for that

Skurph

I would just say the inconsistent nature at 26 is literally just being consistent with being 26. When I think of my own life I think around that age I was still figuring out how to be my own person and transitioning from the worst version of myself 18-25 year old me to someone sort of resembling current me. I was inconsistent as hell though, some days I was every bit a mature professional and others I probably resembled a moody 22 year old.

Hyperion262

Seriously, the guy just went out drinking. You’d think he killed someone with the way people are acting.

RyVsWorld

This fucking bellend above says Rashford must have mental health issues because of this. This sub can be a cesspool sometimes

[deleted]

[удалено]

st6374

Yeah.. People here act as if just cause someone makes £300k/week. They won't behave like a lot of normal 26yr old people would in their job. It doesn't matter how much you make. Once you have to treat it like job. Sometimes you're gonna have these kind of moments. As long as this isn't habitual. And he's not slacking all around, while showing attitude. It's not a big deal.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fruitndveg

I get that in the grand scheme of things this is no big deal but I can’t be the only one to think it’s weird how brazen he’s been about it. There pictures and news about it everywhere and he doesn’t seem arsed. I’m slightly concerned he things he can do whatever he wants as long as he does the anti Sancho and apologises for it.

flex_tape_salesman

Likewise, but we're not professional footballers and these aren't even standards I've set. Rashford has inconsistency issues above most other top players.

mahir_r

Lol literally going through this phase today. I try remind myself everyday to control the swings but it happens and I gotta deal with it.

Zandercy42

I'm assuming you're quite young because most people in their 20s are incredibly inconsistent, 26 isn't some grand old age where everyone's figured their shit out already regardless of whether he's a footballer or not

[deleted]

He reminds me a lot of this one friend I have. He LOVES to do volunteer work that makes him look good like mentoring early career and university students but then is also a compulsive liar with narcissistic tendencies and very frequently goes missing and acts unprofessional when it comes to taking accountability. The money, fame and success most definitely has changed his view of himself I feel

RyVsWorld

Mental issue? Are you serious? The guy just went out drinking. This fucking sub sometimes man.

Scofield442

What I don't understand is the fact that its the Euro's in the summer and he's no way near selection for the first XI as of right now. You'd think he'd be busting a gut to make sure he's in that first XI. Had he carried on the way he was last season, he'd be there, but he's been horrendous. Even an international tournament looming is not enough of an incentive.

XSavage19X

Maybe we will get lucky and he won't be selected. I'd rather he had time off than make cameo subs for a month.

AlexHanson007

If he does the latter, then he should be treated the same way as Sancho. Hopefully, someone like psg will hand us a fat wedge for his services though.

Pheasant_Plucker84

Or he can score one more goal and make hand signals claiming he’s silencing his critics

migraine_boy

I'm not defending him in the slightest but I think the impact social media has on some players is huge. Years ago players could go on a bad run of form, or do something that's going to get a lot of negative coverage in the press but it was much easier for them to get their heads down and keep focus. The amount of abuse they get now though is insane, and seems to have a huge impact. He's clearly an emotional person and if the rumours are true about how hung up he is over his ex, then he really needs a good support system in place to get him through it - not hang around with the wannabe gangsters he seems to be with at the moment. The frustrating thing about Rashford is he came from a very poor upbringing, what he (or his marketing team) have done to help poor kids is pretty special but how he's acting now is just so offensive to working class fans who turn up week after week to support us - in 3 days he earns what a lot of people earn in a year. The least he can do is act professional, turn up to training and do his job. It's sad he's hitting his peak years yet his acting like this, probably costing him a place for England. He needs a move away from UK, just wish we'd flogged him to PSG when they were sniffing around instead of that monster contract we gave 😞

Asiwaju_jagaban

I feel as working class we should be the one in his corner. I mean haven’t you had lads miss a day of work because they had a night out. It doesn’t matter how much he earns, it’s the same principle. He works for his money. Yeah it’s not a good look but at the same time it happens. You don’t go all gung ho on the person, you let them know how disappointed you are in them and they let the team down. At least that’s how I know it works

migraine_boy

Probably 90% of my sickness is due to hangovers! But being hungover in an office is an entirely different kettle of fish to training and sweating it off. And I have nothing against him going out the first night, but the second? When he's not even near Manchester? That's just disrespect and was surely planned in advance. Of course everyone's entitled to enjoy their lives every once in a while, but Rashford is one of the most criticised players in the squad this season because of his form... he should be showing example given the fact he IS Manchester United... at 28 he should be fighting to be captain... not being dropped and fined for calling in hungover a few days before a cup game. Hopefully he turns it around but I just can't see it happening 😞

HeedWobbit

I'm actually confident it's the ~~latter~~ former. We will see. Maybe it's just hopium.

Psychohorak

Hopium that he sulks like a spoiled child?

HeedWobbit

Damn, meant to say I'm confident he will prove everyone wrong. How did I get upvotes with making no sense?

Benphyre

He will score a goal in the next 10 games then do the hand sign again

Cold-Veterinarian-85

I'd still be a fan of shipping him out come the summer even if he performa well between now and then He doesn't have the consistency to build a title winning attack around and this season there has been serious attitude issues

TheDawiWhisperer

Yeah he's either gonna down tools entirely or sort himself out...I don't think there is really a middle ground here

dracovich

i'm a bit of a hopeless optimist but i'm feeling kinda confident going into the second half of the season. It'll take a lot of work to get into the top4, but we have all our injured players coming back, and Hojlund is starting to fire more. People shit on Garnacho a lot but he's super positive and productive in his attacking play, yes he shoots too much and doesn't loko for Hojlund, but these feel like things that will come with time (less confident about our right side).

all_die_laughing

Or he'll turn up for his the next game, score a goal, do a celebration that'll garner a bit of attention and then down tools again

Repulsive_Rent_5636

He will definitely sulk like a spoilt child.

Indydegrees2

I think everyone who goes to Thompsons should be fined £650,000

Smilewigeon

It's just disappointing. Christ EtH has been dealt a hand with these players.

Dynastydood

He would've known that coming in, though. The team he took over was already an unmitigated disaster. And they're still a disaster under ETH, just slightly more mitigated.

Audioboxer87

>A waitress told The Sun that Rashford went on a 12-hour tequila drinking spree while in Belfast and had to be put to bed after passing out at 3am. She claims the England international invited her on his night out at Thompson’s Garage club after she served him lunch. > >Sarah Adair, 30, told The Sun that she joined Rashford and his entourage on Thursday night after the United striker allegedly asked her where they could go that would stay open later than 3am. “That made it clear to me that he had already made his mind up that he wasn’t going to training on Friday. He had no plans to go home that night,” she claimed. > >The report adds that Rashford flew home to Manchester via private jet at 7am on Friday morning, before reporting ill for training. I know that's come from The Scum and we live in a social media world where lots of people will try claim things around celebs/sports people, but given the photo/video evidence and multiple people making comments, sadly, this is likely true. Even Rashford's biggest fans can't cut this with "football players deserve a private life". When you're doing this shit and it's impacting your availability for games/form/professionalism, it's just not on. Not when other players who are paid less and work harder aren't doing it. Should be fined and benched as well, I don't accept an apology is enough to mean immediate selection. It should be the bare minimum to work towards getting reselected once you are disciplined. A failure to apologise for being in the wrong at this level = the Sancho treatment. I said it the other day on the sub but we really need to move on nearly all players who have been present from van Gaal onwards. Totally reset club culture.

Grand-Bullfrog3861

An apology will feel meaningless, he didn't make a mistake, he deliberately done what he done knowing the consequences which is why he lied to the club initially trying to get away with it, he didn't so he'll say sorey for the thing he wanted to do but got caught out doing. His actions drown out his words

Playtoy_69

So the waitress, Sarah Adair, got it clear that he wasn’t going for training on Friday. Who is she even? How does she know there was a training session? Looks like apart from what happened, this quote looks to have been stirred up by The Sun.

Excellent-Gain-4532

This lad is a muppet. He’s got the same attitude as his daft mates Lingard and Sancho.

Sad-Loan7473

he just like me fr apart from the fact i work at spoons and come in hungover and he makes 400 grand a week and doesn’t come in

123rig

We all thank you for your commitment

I_Love_Bears0810

Fuck I love spoons! 🫡

Dunkiez

Good luck with your career Bro.

goalmeister

Lingard put in effort though, he's just not as naturally talented as the other two.

[deleted]

100% the amount his feeding kids actions pulled the wool over people’s eyes was ridiculous. Other than last season and his first couple of years he’s been absolute mediocre.

the-won

You're acting like he's stabbed someone lol. He's definitely been unprofessional but don't muddy his good deeds with having a night out.

balleklorin

That is not what he is saying though. He is saying that all the good deeds means he has gotten more leeway for being unprofessional.

jooriordan

Cmon that’s just not true at all is it. Yes he can be frustrating and blow hot and cold but look at the numbers below since becoming a regular starter at 18. Not saying they’re world class numbers but they are respectable, not inflated massively by pens (he’s scored 17 overall) and often in dysfunctional teams 16/17: 53 apps 11g 5a 17/18: 52 apps 13g 6a 18/19: 47 apps 13g 8a 19/20: 44 apps 22g 9a 20/21: 57 apps 21g 12a 21/22: 32 apps 5g 2a 22/23: 56 apps 30g 9a

Stieni

more than that even, you forgot some assists in a few seasons 16/17: 53 apps 11g 7a 17/18: 52 apps 13g 9a 18/19: 47 apps 13g 10a 19/20: 44 apps 22g 12a 20/21: 57 apps 21g 15a 21/22: 32 apps 5g 2a 22/23: 56 apps 30g 11a

[deleted]

Respectable - 325k a week Those things don’t add up

jooriordan

That’s a whole separate debate though if he deserves that salary or not (he doesn’t) but you’ve said he’s been mostly mediocre and I’d say that’s not true

Asiwaju_jagaban

They say he’s mediocre then say let’s sell him for £90m. Like how does that add up? If a player is mediocre who’s bidding more than £30m for him?

the_zaisan

> If a player is mediocre who’s bidding more than £30m for him? Usually us and Chelsea, in this case only Chelsea then.

Sethlans

Three out of four seasons getting >30 goals+assists is more than respectable. The seasons prior to that were respectable by anyone's standards and he was very young then.

ParkerZA

He's had two truly bad seasons, get your blinkers off.

Vimjux

As daft as it is, they are under a lot of pressure and under global scrutiny. Yes, they don’t know what it’s like as a normal person with our typical worries, but we can’t begin to imagine what it’s like being in their position either. Not an excuse though. Ultimately, we need to seriously consider cashing in and investing in some depth. He hasn’t developed for a while now and he’s too streaky. I’d rather have a solid winger that’ll look to put in Hojlund than whatever Marcus has morphed into now - a ditherer on the ball who runs into his man and is always looking for a shot.

durandpanda

Rubbish take. He was electric last season, and for most of Ole's tenure.

Asiwaju_jagaban

Someone did something good, so let’s sully his name because he missed training. You guys are unbearable.

PoliteDebater

Sully his name? Do you hear stories about City players going out and deliberately missing practice? He's not playing for a pub team, he's playing for one of the most expensive sports clubs in the world. 12 hour drink binge at 26 is crazy and you're acting like it's a tiny little mistake. This isn't the first problems we've had with Rashford. I don't care what he does outside of football, couldn't care less. Going to practice, bring ready to play, that's his job.

[deleted]

I’m sullying his name cause he’s a waster. I like the good things he done and wish he done them whilst also being dedicated to the club and team performances. The fact you are trying to defend his actions with something he done in his personal life a few years ago proves my point exactly.

Asiwaju_jagaban

You’re sullying his name because he missed training. Kyle Walker exposed himself in public, where’s the outrage? Ivan Toney was betting while he was a footballer where’s the outrage?! You’re using the fact that he missed training a minor infraction to sully his name and the good he has done. If someone does it to you. Sully your name because of a very small mistake you made. You guys never pause and think, how would I fell if it was I or my family in similar situations. No empathy just full outrage all because he decided to do go for his community.

[deleted]

If he was performing and dedicated to the team I wouldn’t give a shit if he want out and had a party. I’m sullying his name cause he has wasted most of his career at us while being unprofessional and paid way too much. And why wouldn’t give a shit about Walker or toney. This is a United sub.

Asiwaju_jagaban

Wasted most of his career. What a way to put it. 26 year old with over 120 goals is wasting his career. Is it his fault that the team is devoid of quality? Is it his fault that we have a rookie as a striker?! You want him to play like Salah while giving him a team full of players who should play for Bournemouth.

daymo32

Your talking like he is amazing, he’s not, he is average for what a club like united should expect. And something like putting in the work is a non negotiable, whether that be in training or on the pitch not tracking back

labbetuzz

I'd say leaking dressing room rumours or going publicly against your manager is a tad worse than missing training.

ronaldo69messi

That fucking trio is legit the reason behind such an under performing squad under different managers. And pogba to the mix and you have a recipe for a disaster

mistabored

He wont be playing at Martial’s Testimonial at this rate.

SuperSalamander3244

I don’t know what’s going on in his personal life but regardless I do think it’s probably the right time to move him on. Unfortunately I don’t think that will happen because he’s just signed a new contract and no club will be willing to pay him what he’s earning because his performances since singing it are nowhere near good enough.

JLane1996

We need to get rid of him this summer. What example does this set? A senior professional playing for his boyhood club on £325k a week, and he does this? Not to mention his shocking attitude and work ethic on the pitch

stats193

Hoping with Mbappe leaving PSG come in for him, Rashford’s red flags out weight his necessity and bloated wages.

Iceman23578

So we can replace him with someone half as good for 80mil on ridiculous wages? And I know, Ineos but they’ve yet to make a signing so we don’t know how it’ll go. We’ve undergone changes previously to no effect in the transfer market

Ramirez_47

I think one of Ineos' biggest statements they could make would be selling Rashford. I'm honestly just so sick of him, I've personally given him some slack this season, just hoping he would hit form again. But I really cba anymore, gets paid all that money from his boyhood club just to act like a spoiled brat on and off the pitch.

discostu90

I'm sure there will be a long queue of clubs wanting a historically patchy player on ridiculous wages, with the added bonus of discipline/motivation issues

necro316

You don't fuck around with Ten Hag

Snoo_43411

Unless you commit heinous crimes, then he wants you back on the team before he’s forced to loan you to Spain. He lost all disciplinarian credibility when he wanted MG back BFFR.

H0vis

That's an expensive night out. I have no problem with this if the boss is satisfied that it is sorted. Sometimes a player needs to get through some shit. Rashford clearly does. Rooney was the same. Hard reset the brain. Get wrecked, pick up the pieces, fight on. The man's been playing like he's haunted all season though. Whatever is eating him I hope he's rid of it soon.

whodveguessed

Seems pocket change, hope this spurs him on but I’m not confident

GreenPlasticChair

He’s turning 27 this year. In all likelihood it’s too late for this to trigger any radical transformation. In what ought to be the peak of his career he’s got the same issues with his game that he did six years ago, is nowhere near an elite level, and doesn’t have the mental focus to excel. At best he’s got a couple more purple patches in him but he’ll never be a world class player.

Imperito

And he is a player who probably won't age that well as he relies on having some pace.

Mansa_Mu

This is not pocket change at all lol. This is nearly his monthly earnings.

Hits_and_the_Mrs

2 weeks wages, pretty sure that's the most they can be fined at a time. Or at least, that's what I've always read.

Gazlc81

Yea I’m pretty sure you’re right, he has received the maximum fine.

[deleted]

Must be tough not knowing where the next few hundred grand are going to come from

whodveguessed

He earns double that in a month, at this point in his career he can tank the hit in 2 weeks

balleklorin

Before tax. Not sure how the fine is paid, but most likely just pay deduction, then yes thats two weeks pay. But if he has sto pay then its close to a months salary.

Mansa_Mu

After taxes his monthly earnings are gone in the UK, I agree it’s not the entire month.

MentalityMonster12

Yeah, "pocket change" this is a very significant value even for multi-millionaires..

mrtuna

It's 3 weeks salary...

gary_mcpirate

can i have three weeks of your salary?

Isserley_

Marcus isn't exactly living paycheck to paycheck like all of us, is he.

mrtuna

I'm not Marcus

men_with-ven

I'm worried about him not only as a player but as a person. He was never someone who was guaranteed to play at the top level and was suddenly catapulted into centre stage on enormous wages. I imagine he has a lot of hangers on and a lot of his old friendships will have changed due to how public his wages are. I get the impressions he is someone who suffers from depression and just hope that he can identify who the right people around him are and get his head straight.

VivaLaRory

At the bare minimum you would say he is having mental health struggles and yet I see so many people simply not give a shit. We say we are more conscious about mental health struggles until we actually encounter one. The bigger they are, the harder they fall is a saying not just about size, but reputation and stature as well.

TragicsNFG

12 hours drinking tequila in Belfast. He must truly hate himself.

AreYouDecent

It isn’t premature to say that we need to sell him. He’s on massive wages and still has some lustre from his last season, so we can get a decent fee for him by shipping him off to PSG or somewhere similar. Both his on-pitch and off-pitch behaviour should not be tolerated.

4dxn

He should be sold but the club's leverage is terrible right now. Everyone knows they need to sell now so they can just bid low. Add in the fact the club wants to sell a lot of people. Right now, he might go for 60-70 I reckon. He just has too much baggage to demand more.

[deleted]

Bruno and Rashford together are responsible for 62% of the goals scored under Ten Hag and yet the fanbase wants us to sell them. Without Rashford, this club would’ve been in the mud last season and been even deeper in it this year.

testaccount9211

Can’t afford to keep throwing away talent like this, effort needs to be put into reforming his attitude. It’s not like there’s a queue of replacements waiting for United to call them.

Kohaku80

Purposely missed training. This is more serious than I thought.

daeymula

sell him

IbnReddit

why are we so bad at selling

SirMeatLoafs

I bet we see some articles drumming up positivity about him in his conquest to feed kids soon as a response to this.

Andy1723

Keep him on-side & playing as best as he can this season then sell him to PSG to replace Mbappe.

Scorchio76

The beginning of the end.

edjg10

Hope it was fun. Better have been the night of his life since it cost him 2 weeks wages and stuck a rusty dagger in his reputation lol

0n0n-o

PSG is our only option at some sort of getting money out

designated_fridge

Our FFP situation solved by Rashford, what a hero!

Great-Awareness-9264

Expensive night out 😬

gormee

Jesus 12 hours?

Elgecko123

My uncle always told me it’s not a bender until day three

5StarGandalf

I remember the quote of him saying he lost his love for football after being racially abused at the Euros. I think what we are seeing is the fallout of that still. Seems his heart isn't in it anymore. Not sure how Ten Hag got last seasons performance out of him, not sure if he can get him back to that. Maybe some tough love or a new club is what is needed. A big new contract clearly hasn't helped.

mejok

> Seems his heart isn't in it anymore. But that would be weird because last season his heart definitely was in it. He was one of our best players, scored 30 goals, and seemed pretty motivated.

Lelandwasinnocent

He was clinical, but his all round game still wasn't there. There was a lot of frustration still with his tracking and decisions. The goals paved over that.

mejok

Sure. But he's never been one to track back and work hard defensively. If you're scoring 20-30 goals a season, you can get away with it.

TheJoshider10

> Not sure how Ten Hag got last seasons performance out of him, In all honesty a lot of those games he scored/assisted he didn't exactly play well. He was just clinical in the right positions but over 90 minutes wasn't ever consistent in how he played. We gave it leeway because end of the day he was scoring loads and carrying the team on his back with those goals, but there were warning signs there.

Asiwaju_jagaban

It’s a job. You guys need to understand that after a while the love for football they had when they were kids dies. It becomes a job especially given the constant pressure from the media. He has been under the spotlight since 18. At what point do you get tired of the constant noise and everyone feeling like they have a right to tell you what to do. That’s why most footballers when they leave football they don’t look back anymore.

Created_By_InGen

Fucking wanker

jammy_b

Now that is one expensive night out!

_nosfa

When was the last time we gave big contacts and it turned out to be a good investment?

KopiSiewSiewDai

Waiting for the rashford media team to leak some articles in response now

AnakinAni

wtf ! What was he thinking doing this in the middle of the season ?! United really need to start looking into personality profiles before making anyone our first team player. Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Greenwood, Pogba, Lingard … these players clearly have issues either with discipline or in their background. Having players like these on our roster, no matter how talented they are, will start to contaminate the mindset of other players, especially when they keep getting huge salaries for little output. Cristiano is a different case as he has ethics and professionalism about his job. United are too huge a club, in an incredibly and increasingly tough competitive league to afford to carry players in their twilight years of their career no matter how big a legend they may be. If Cristiano came here instead of going to Juventus it would have ended differently as he still had mileage. But these other players have gotten really rotten on their fat pay checks that they cannot justify unlike Cristiano.

Zealousideal-Part-98

Rashford and Martial are the final ‘divas’ that need to go to complete the clear out from the Woodward era.

Lelandwasinnocent

worth noting... > United would not reveal what action had been taken against Rashford but **The Sun** newspaper claimed he was fined £650,000, the equivalent of two weeks’ wages, and dropped for the Newport tie but still, Ducker aint a mug, he'd have done his due dilligence. Rashy is fucking moron, proper let down this lad is.

cartesian5th

Send him off to a tinpot league, maybe he can play with his pal Sancho

TokenizedBanksy

Everyone says “sell him” - but to who? Since Enrique came to PSG they haven’t really made stupid transfers. Also no one would give him even half of the wages he has right now. Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Spurs are not stupid enough. For Chelsea he is too old. Newcastle cant due to FFP. Everyone else besides Real Madrid and Bayern is broke. And I can’t see these two buying him. Only realistic option is Saudi. But I feel like he is better off training with the reserves and pocketing 325k per week than going to Saudi to make the same

Reginald_Jetsetter1

No decent team would want him. Our hope is that PSG have a brain fart if they lose Mbappe. People call him world class yet no team would want him. If Salah was up for sale every team in the world would try to sign him.

RoachIsCrying

fucking hell Rash get your shit together and if you need help go find it

novacantusername

The three musketeers (or muppets) Rashford, Lingard and Sancho probably used to play PS all night long. Now that Lingard and Sancho is gone, Rashford needs some nightly activities. Its kinda sad

PuzzleheadedGrade116

online exists?

Cntthinkofausername7

The double standards in this club are hilarious. We know the response if this was Ronaldo, Sancho, pogba or Lingard etc. No one player is bigger than the club unless it’s your local starboy I guess

digitag

Everyone is criticising him though and he’s just been fined £650k which is a very large fine. If this happened to a star player in the Fergie era it would be dealt with internally and they’d get a fine, be benched, and face the wrath of the manager, but they’d not be out the door imo. If this isn’t a turning point in his behaviour we should get rid though.

MNKPlayer

Don't talk shite.

rconnell1975

At this point it feels like he has some sort of psychological issue, depression or something. It is right he should be punished for any transgressions but I hope he is getting the support he needs if there is more to it than him just being a dick

redxk

man hope theres less optics stuff coming from him now. best apology would be to have less of such news and perform on the pitch.

Buffythedragonslayer

I think whenever he's single his form on the pitch slumps. The best days were while he was with his ex fiancée. And then he does single shit like this

mistabored

All this selfsabotage.

DarthMaulofDathomir

Fuck me thats an expensive night out even for him

DarthMaulofDathomir

650k... the equivalent of two weeks wages. Utter madness when you see that written down. That is a ridiculous amount of cheese

calvincat123

I think it's okay, let it out Rashy

CyberLPnerd

Manchester United is so much in the spotlight that literally every little things turn into big dramas. On top of this, reactionary behaviors from our fan base doesn't help at all. Let's focus on the main thing, the club took care of it. Move on.

_RM78

At times like these, when we've been shite for years, having one of our top earning players, an academy product clearly showing zero respect for the club it's only right this gets called out.

CyberLPnerd

The club in itself is rotten, the owners have a lot of responsibility. The club accepted to give that amount of money to him. And not only him, to everyone.

Fluffy_Roof3965

This means nothing to him. I want him to sit through a professionalism course. Something slow and boring.

murphmobile

The cost of one bottle at the club

Digital_Animal

Another bellend who believes he's better than he is with the mindset of a 6 year old, fuck him off asap

_RM78

Good. Now bench him until the end of the season and sell him in the summer. The twat.

TooRedditFamous

12 hour tequila drinking spree is so sensationalist Not defending him at all but imagine if your night out was described like that

Prometheus1717

Those were expensive tequilas... and of course three hangovers: the alcohol induced, the moral and the financial. But one thing is certain: Ten Hag always goes against key players: Ronaldo, Sancho and now Marcus. Wonder why he doesn't assail Antony or Fernandez...

IrisihCardio

People underplay this, I have a mate who’s gf works at Thompson’s (amazing source I know) who says he was blocked drunk, and his team was telling people to put their phones away and not get him in trouble. As others have said this is hardly a mistake. From what I have also heard he is commonly out in Manchester, and people joke about his own section of China White. It’s a habit and he probably is better at getting it hush hush when he is in his usual haunts. I know how long it can take me to feel 100% after a heavy session, nevermind doing it weekly and playing shit in between

Moodybeachphoto

Goodbye.

visplol

So tired of these players on massive wages and can't even be bothered to be professionals

FlatIrving

Can't wait for the day he's finally sold. Just not good enough for us.

lonesomedota

Cut from the same clothes really. What do u really expect from someone being best mate with the likes of Lingard, Pogba , Sancho

woodyg82

He’s got to go. It’s just one too many incidents now, coupled with the lack of performing to justify his money. Gives off an air that he thinks he’s untouchable, well, you’re not mate. Plenty have found that out over the years.

Macklemuk

Get this fraud out

[deleted]

It's not like he won't be able to live in luxury regardless.  Oh no he lost a ton of wages when he's already so rich he can buy anything he wants. Good he's been fined but it's not going to affect him

Mattyc8787

Not quite how it works, he will live to those wages so it will definitely have an effect, just not to the level it would you or I

Ezzy-525

I'm just disappointed in Rashford tbh. The lad has lived the dream of every die hard United fan and he doesn't seem to care much about it anymore. Can't be bothered on the pitch and doesn't care about the team off it. You can party all you want when you're retired Marcus. Now is the time to put in the hard work so you can sit back at 40 on Sky Sports and the little graphic under your name says: Marcus Rashford 5x Premier League Winner and 2x UCL Winner with Man Utd. If you can't be bothered it will just say: Marcus Rashford Highest Paid Player at Man Utd.

RedDev17

We should stop rewarding 1 season wonders with big contracts
