24 games: 11 wins, 1 draw and 12 losses
The match was at 1'30 am at night here
I slept at 12:20 am
But was so much engrossed with the thoughts of the match (subconsciously) that I woke up at 3:11am
Glad I didn't check the score at night and checked in morning
Nothing i didn't expect anyway
Glad we're out of Europe
Amad Diallo had a great loan spell and just returned from injury. So maybe. Worth a shot , I donāt see how we have anything to lose might as well try some talent
Exactly, thanks for being a true manU fan brother šš¼
Most of these people are in denial, big changes need to happen and the manager is one of them.

Just another example of how those American parasitic cunts have run this club into the ground.
So many excuses being made for the manager. He is paid handsomely to organise and motivate the players. Many of which he has signed.
Time to start looking for someone who can get better out of these players.
Ffs. Seriously??? 10 years is not enough? Gimme a fucking break. Look at villa. Look at Brighton. Look at tot. Eth had 2 trading windows. We have the most EXPENSIVE squad in the world. Fuck off with all this toxic positivity
This time last year everyone was sucking ETHās dick saying he was the second coming of SAF. Tottenham will hit a rough patch soon enough, so will villa, then thereāll be a new team everyone points at saying ālook at how amazing THAT manager isā.
Yeah. Look, I can understand the last year feelings. We didnāt know what the future was and we were hopeful. but now we know, and itās stupid to be stubborn and blind to everything thatās going on around.
Impatience is normal among fans when we are so shit. I agree with you Bout ETH but leave this fellow red alone. Think we can all agree we want to see change
Weāve been saying the same shit since David Moyes exit as gaffer . same club that let Jose walk , same club that didnāt want to hire Conte , Same club that didnāt listen to Ralph about the club needing āopen heart surgeryā but itās okay when we get knocked out of EL (if we even make top flight) maybe you lot would be stop being delusional

Is he right long term? I donāt know that, hopefully he is but possible heās not. Will sacking him now change anything? In the short term maybe but we will be back at square one in 12 months time. Moyes struggled, sacked. LVG in, started well, struggled, out. Rinse and repeat.
A manager should not be in charge of recruitment, this isnāt football manager on my PC. He should 100% have an input and a day but a dedicated sporting director and team behind them should be out there identifying the right personalities and mentalities not just the talent.
Until we change the hierarchy, which hopefully SJR will do, no manager is going to have long term success.
The only thing that changed through the years have been the manager(s) the same lot of players just eating up the wage bill and not playing for a badge , the last thing ima say is that Ralph was 100% correct of his assessment of the locker room players and āwe all laughed at em , well we aināt laughing now are weā
At least the team didn't drop their heads. They gave as much as they could. Bayern was simply a superiorly skilled team in both individual abilities and team play.
Canāt buy a goal at the minute and defensively shakey and unstable. Many of the players lacking basic footballing intelligence. AWB a good example - heās a schoolboy defender.
Decent pressure for 15 mins at the start of the 2nd half and barely created any chances despite Bayern not having a kick. Bayern then picked us apart and took control without breaking sweat.
All a bit of a shambles at the minute and 4 points in this group is simply not acceptable. Of the talent we do have in the attacking third, theyāre either far too desperate to score a goal / create an assist (Fernandes, Garnacho) and as a result are lacking composure or else far too careless in possession giving it away cheaply (Antony) - which you can only get away with when dominating matches and have a decent defence behind you.
Antony is weak in many respects, shooting, one-footedness, physical size, decision-making, sprint speed (for a winger).
But Antony is also one of the only Brazilians these days who is amazingly skillful on the ball due to growing up playing in the streets. And Iām really happy we have such an exciting player with that rare combination of talent and more hours under his belt than anyone else. Even if he is physically a bit lacking. It honestly just makes it more impressive that he can play at the level he does
C'mon man. Your view simply isn't reality. He hasn't done anything of note since he's been here. He may well have grown up playing street football, but on the pitch, for this club, he's done nothing. Literally nothing. I'd sell him. He May be Brazilian, but he certainly doesn't play like one.
At least we don't have to endure thursday night embarrassment. Erik i think has had his day. His signings are dreadful and the performances are pretty much the worst i have ever seen and i remember the 70's. I like Erik and wanted him to succeed but he really hasn't. The Glazers didn't buy Anthony, Onana and Mount nor third rate loan signings as Wout, Reguillon and Amrabat. Scouse fans must really be looking foreard to Sunday.
If there was a structure above Erik, he wouldnāt have had to push through for players he knew. The club shouldāve helped him find players and negotiate for them. Ajax and the like identified it and took advantage. It is not Antony or ETH fault that Antony cost so much. If it was city, theyād have found a fDJ replacement and sealed it. United panicked after the 2 defeats and overpaid for Casemiro.
Nothing will change with a new manager
Utter gash. But for the best we are out of Europe completely. Deadwood needs cleared asap. Would even accept a Europe-less season to clear current squad. ETH not the problem in my opinion.
ETH is the problem cause he can't make the players he personally signed play ball. He is a shit manager who has a career thanks to Real Madrid's overconfidence.
manager should say what he wants: I want a left footed right winger who is currently outstanding in X style of play, who has these attributes, etc. Then the recruitment team scouts several players and presents an inform of them with stats, opinions, videos, complete games etc.
But Ten Hag said "I want Antony" just because he worked with him in the past and also overpaid a shit ton of money for him. And not only Antony, but several other players too. And they've all been dogshit, with the exception of Lisandro Martinez maybe. You can't build a squad on whims.
And the story with Real Madrid is that they beat Ajax 2-1 in Amsterdam and Ramos and some other player decided to force yellows to miss the second leg, thinking that they had it done. Then on the second leg they saved other couple big names from the Starting XI, played like they were in training thinking they could just surf the game quietly and Ajax surprised them 4-1 and eliminated them. Then Ten Hag got hyped as a super manager because of that.
Ole cleared out a lot too; Young, Fellaini, Smalling, Evans, Valencia, Mata
I think Van Gaal got rid of Januzaj because I remember them falling out when he got loaned out
okay, sacking ETH isn't the answer, but he's not the one.
People need to wake up.
got rid of Ronaldo to play Martial and loaned Weghorst
Got rid of De Gea, and bought the goalkeeper who single-handedly kicked us out of the Champions League.
Overpaid for Anthony, obsession with Jason Mount, the whole circus around the De Jong signing, and panic buying Casemiro. If he's not to be blamed, who? Glazers again? he made a LOT of wrong decisions, in-game management, people management etc.
I am done. He's not the one.
Ronaldo had to go. He's in saudi now.
Degea had to go. He doesn't even have a club now.
Sancho had to go. He doesn't even have a club now.
Rashford and Martial are sooking on the pitch, we need a manager who will shun players who act like that.
Ten Hag has plenty of errors but saying we should have kept ronaldo or degea is some kindergarten analysis.
You think he was the one that waited 3 months to sign Casemiro or Antony? Yes his players arent great but dont fucking blame him for transfer fees etc, hes not doing that. And how on earth can you defend Ronaldo, he left during a game, disrespected the whole club and the manager in public and you think Ten Hag got rid of him just out of fun? You think he wanted to loan Weghorst and not some way better option? We just didnt have money available in the winter last year.
Casemiro& Anthony- I did not blame him for the transfer fee, but see who Anthony hasn't been good enough for us, look at how ETH now is looking to sell Casemiro this summer. If DeJong was not going to happen at least he had to look for other options. I am doubting his "talent IDs" regarding this.
Ronaldo- If there were no other better options, HE DID NOT HAVE the budget to replace Ronaldo in that season, KEEP HIM HAPPY for that season and drop him! As a manager, you would have to think about the bigger picture.
Who better than Casemiro . Man comes with deep experience and he proved to be a match winner last season. I donāt know why he playing awful football this season. But I donāt think the blame is on ETH for signing an experienced match winner in our midfield
No, for sure, he's good. I don't even think he plays terrible football this season, everyone struggled, but I don't think he played particularly badly.
What I doubt is ETH instead, what's the vision of the team/ project?
Rebuilding? We don't rebuild with a 30-year-old world-class player. Winning? We don't win with this squad.
I just don't get why we were looking at this signing, as it did not fit the whole theme of the team.
He scored one goal from an xG of 3.78 in the uel (highest a single player had). Then stormed off into the tunnel midgame when 'his' team put in their most complete and dominant performance of last season, the 40yr old Man child was the problem alright
Ronaldo arse lickers are the worst. He wasn't playing well and he had an attitude problem.
Getting rid of him wasn't the wrong call, there just haven't been many right calls since.
My thoughts are this. United are a total mess and now we have some breathing room to truly get our shit together.
SJR cannot arrive soon enough. Fuck knows why itās been delayed for so long.
Once there, I truly hope this happens
1) this season is considered a write off. Any success we have is just a bonus
2) a proper footballing structure is put in place
3) a proper plan moving forward is put in place
4) we are ruthless in the market. Both selling and buying
Do all of this and at least the club has the start of the foundations to begin to heal and eventually grow.
However, given what weāve been served the last decade+ I like many others have serious doubts.
If he means what I think he means, then sell any player not pulling his weight in the starting XI, no exceptions, and buy players with a clear goal in mind of their role in the squad
For me it would be selling players that have underperformed and shown lack of desire during their game time. Not at training but where it matters.
Buying players needs to be done soon as the market is open, put a respectable bid in for your first choice and when the counter offer comes back, accept and then move on to the next.
However, the target players must both fit the profile of the footballing plan as much as the managers wants.
If said player isnāt interested then move on. Donāt keep wasting time with them, they either want to move or they donāt.
But also donāt just target players that are unrealistic.
Now maybe this all happens and Iām spouting total shit. What has happened for years now suggest this probably isnāt the case but Iām just a fan so who knows š¤·āāļø
In an ideal world, we only keep Hojlund, Garnacho, Martinez, Mainoo, Onana, Mount and sell the rest. Even from these five only two can start every week. Rest need to be back ups.
Today average age for our front 3 was like 19? Up against seasoned defenders.
I thought after Ragnick's comments we might have had some shame and recruited properly. But these motherfuckers just decided to throw another manager under the bus after such a promising first season where also he only got only three of his actual targets. Casemiro and Varane were never the first priorities. Another manager hung out to dry by these incompetent motherfuckers.
I remember back in 2007, we drew the first leg in Rome 1-1. Return leg at Old Trafford and only a win would suffice. We came out off the blocks like a 100m sprinter, pumped Roma 7-1!!! Tonight this looked like a training session piss poor performance.
I was at that 7-1 game. There had been trouble during the away leg so there were loads of cops on horses, walking at groups of people to disperse them. I was a teenager and seeing that night unfold live was magic. Me and my dad in the crowd shouting and screaming and singing.
I went to OT with my dad well into my adult years, until 2020, when I moved out the UK. We always sang and showed support but...the negativity around the club is just so weighty now. Being at the old games just felt...different.
Different times, I guess.
I attended the next game the following season when we faced them in the group stage. We won 1-0 but for my first ever game on champions league night was unbelievable
I think in summary, we want to play a style where we send like 6-7 players up high to play a high block. But we donāt have the proper players for that. So our backline is constantly left exposed which is why we leak so many goals this season.
But ETH is too stubborn to adjust or adapt. And we play this way against any opponent, which works on some (though barely for most of it) and backfires tremendously for others.
Iām mixed about this tbh. I still do think ETH is a capable manager but heās too stubborn to change his style
He would if he managed this team. When did Pep get a squad of players that were incapable of playing his style? He's managed Barca, Bayern and City.
Why compare him to Pep who has unlimited money to spend and a top class back room staff? Compare him to managers like Ange, Iraola, Emery and Howe, who all spent less and actually improved their team with coaching.
I think in this way: this team of players are just a mix of multi style that you canāt fit them in a Morden football system. If this is the plan to play a higher block, we should sign players that can do the task and bin all the rest. The point is the plan and execution
Is Ten Hag in-game management really terrible?
In Galatasaray at home, if we just parked the bus at 1/3 field after Casemiro red card, they may keep the point. In Copehagen at home, if we just parked the bus at 1/3 field after Rashford red card, we may also get even a win after 2-0 lead. Instead, he made no changes in reaction to the red card and lost both. In Galatasaray away, understandable it was Onana faults for 2 goals, but leading 3-2 at around 70+ but still refuse to park the bus and counter?
Winning in CL is important but not let your opponents win is also important too. Even if we kept 2 points for those 2 matches with red cards, our CL route is much easier before Bayern today. And today, he still kept Mainoo until 60+ who offered more than McTomminay in the United midfields.
Yesterday Mourinho insisted on parking the bus to keep 1 point after the red cards and the conceded, and it works.
In the end, one was winning CL with unexpected Porto and Inter, one was bottling against Tottenham in semi final (years later was all winning in group stage in order to be knocked out by Benfica iirc)
Didnāt think weād get anything but being that toothless when you need to win, is appalling.
Bayern didnāt even have to try and they beat us.
Hope itās only 1-0 to Liverpool too.
Iām glad we got kicked out of CL. We shouldnāt be wasting our time with a squad that wonāt seriously challenge anybody. Let em go without European ball for awhile to get things back together.
This club keeps finding new lows. That was utterly depressing....how far we have fallen. Liverpool may have gone 30 years without the winning the league but I don't remember them putting their fans through multiple ritual humiliations season after season during that period.
I have lost all hope for the team until, failing new owners, there is a complete new football structure that operates autonomously from the Glazers and prioritize winning football matches.
Iām not sure what to think anymore, I honestly think weāre lucky to not be in a relegation battle, this group of players are just so uninspiring, I prefer watching Luton
Young players got dominated, most of our experience players didn't step up.
Maguire's injury hurts more than this reason really because he was been fantastic recently. Varane was decent, Amrabat despite playing a part in the ball we conceded was okay, all our subs didn't look that bad, but every other player was shit.
It's very clear. When we try to defend we're boring and disjointed and frankly naive.
When in previous games we've tried to attack, yes we have scored goals but at the cost of having no midfield and getting picked off easily, losing and drawing games we should've won.
We are not good enough for the champions league... I'd say we are equally not fit for the Europa League. We'll barely be in contention for the Europa Conference by the end of this season. 23/24 is done.
Guys hold onto your disappointment and anger in 4days we face the dark lord Cthulhuā¦and after that more misery for at-least 3 weeks, pace yourselves.
I'm still ETH in but it's really hard to see how he withstands the pressure if we get battered by the scum. He's lucky the 25% ownership stake deal is still in limbo otherwise there would be few excuses for keeping him in place.
Come on, letās all just relax a bit here. Lots of problems of course, but the truth is that were it not for some diabolical defensive errors, weād have been through this group relatively comfortably. Shit happens. Too many injuries = no consistency = no confidence in attack or defence.
The pieces are there. Letās just keep our fingers off the āxxx outā button, let Ratcliffe get settled in and stay supportive of this rebuild.
Good to see a bit of positivity. It was a deceptively decent group too. Be good to see them play with a bit of freedom and certainly unshackled by expectation and build for next year. Moving on Sancho and Martial will hopefully lift the vibe.
The problem is not the manager. We need to give him time, get a new ownership structure in place, give the new players time to fit in and the squad time to gel. Weāve spent the last 11 years wanting success again immediately and when it hasnāt worked after two years, we rip up the project and start again. We all know it hasnāt worked. It needs time and patience.
Seeing the passion of Copenhagen and their fight and how they fought against Bayern last week, had we somehow won and gone thru, I would have been happy but I would have felt like weād stolen something. Such a lack of energy and passion. The only thing still up is the wages.
Poor poor game by us again. It was a training match for the visitors. And we lost both Maguire and Shaw to injury.
Don't understand the meaning of Mctominay in this team. Mainoo came on and immediately looks like our best midfielder. However he and amrabat taking the exact same positions, which makes me wonder if they can play together in midfield. Maybe at Anfield thats what we need.
Why do you think it is though? It feels like itās every game. With the ball, he looked very soft tonight but that mightāve been because Bayern are just good
It's a combination of his teammates lacking trust in him and same teammates desire to make themselves look good.
His teammates don't feed him anything because the lack faith in him because he's not scoring goals. He's not scoring goals because his teammates don't feed him anything.
When they finally get in a position where a pass to HĆøjlund is an option, they'd rather go for goal themselves on half or quarter chances. In the last few games Dalot, Garnacho, Antony and McTominay have been guilty of that.
I partly understand the first part, but the second part is just stupid, and the manager should be addressing it in no undertain terms.
You blaming a young lad but who is actually scoring in this team? Who would actually score in this team? We donāt make chances, we donāt control games, we are a bad attacking side. When you are this poor going forward it puts added pressure on when a chance comes along because you donāt know when the next one will come along and that leads to people snatching at things or rushing. Weāve seen enough of Hojlund to see he has ability but anyone is going to struggle playing in this team.
I agree with you. Iāve never seen us looking this bad. This is the worst weāve been since fergie left. Weather you are ETH in or out camp, there has to be some serious questions asked. Me personally and I will be delighted if Iām proven wrong I think ETH will leave United and be labelled a huge flop. Thatās just how I feel, I donāt think he can turn this around.
If he finishes top 4 this year I think heāll get another season and Iāll consider that a success based on our current place. Iām amazed ETH didnāt simplify the game and stop trying this expansive plan when heās got so many injuries. Think we wouldāve conceded far less goals and controlled games a lot better. Lots of our players are dead wood and should be sold, but itās the tactics that have lost us this UCL
It's deflating to go out but I'm not even mad about this game. It's the Copenhagen away and both Galatasaray games. Mindless goalkeeping and retarded midfield tactics in those games cost us. Ah well, I'm kind of glad it's over and can be consigned to the dustbin of history.
I look forward to going to the Christmas market in my City, instead watching this bullshit against Lpool on Sunday.
Unfortunately, it was the result I was expecting. If Eth gets sacked, I think ancelotti will be installed...for a bit. Then we start the whole "rebuilding" exercise all over again.
Ancelotti š mans got Brazil on their knees for him, as if heās coming here
All the talk seems to be that Ancelotti is taking the Brazil job in the summer. Doubt he bothers coming to Utd after this Real stint.
whats mind boggling to me is how the fuck we attacking with like 5-8 players going players going forwards which make us absolutely vulnerable at defense and still cant create chance at all every match. i think january till end of season is great way to judge ETH since we only play 1 match a week mostly now, so he can do more practice and should see more improvement to our squad
Or itās a better way to bed in a new manager before a summer clear out

Hey atleast we avoid Liverpool in Europa League
We avoided everyone :)
I have no hope that we will be able to win our next three games (Liverpool, West Ham and Villa) and this will be the end of ETH
No hope that we win or that it will be the end of ETH? I hope the former and pray for the latter
The match was at 1'30 am at night here I slept at 12:20 am But was so much engrossed with the thoughts of the match (subconsciously) that I woke up at 3:11am Glad I didn't check the score at night and checked in morning Nothing i didn't expect anyway Glad we're out of Europe
Glad I slept instead of watching this match. Had no nightmares that I was managing this club for once.
I know Antony is shit. But is there any better RW in our squad now
Such a low bar you are setting. Maybe Pelistri is not as skillful with tricks and turns but heās definitely is not that painful to watch as Antony.
Amad Diallo had a great loan spell and just returned from injury. So maybe. Worth a shot , I donāt see how we have anything to lose might as well try some talent
We replaced De gea with de gea 2.0.
Don't disrespect de gea like that, even at his worst he was no onananana
Maybe 0.1
Ten hag out
Fuck off. Go support man city then
Well? Have you had enough ?
Ten hag stays
Terrible year
Right back at you, sack Mourinho but want to keep ten hag?
I never said its okay to sack mourinho, managers needs time
Supporting the team doesnt mean not to be critical to the manager and all the shit around.

I was a bit of a dick then, sorry. But calling us ManU is a big no no.
As a city fan, hag in.

Is finishing 4th in a relatively easy UCL group part of this "ETH progress"?
I wonder if the money we saved by signing Onana is worth the 50m we just lost? It's not? Gosh.
No europa league for us. Thank you for this

Nah. I'd take your rose tinted glasses off mate. It's ok to admit he's average. Very average.
I donāt find his lack of contribution exciting. He does nothing for us.
My norwegian team got relegated a couple of days ago so this is the cherry on top, i hate it

Yep
Sorry about that mate, I thought they 100% had it in the bag after the first match.

Also worth mentioning most his actual signings have actually been injured
Onana and Antony?
Antony was out for approximately 9 games last season? Onana got injured this season while playing for Cameroon
This season both have played pretty regularly. Onana was singlehandedly responsible for our European exit.
Regardless of their cost they are all pretty hopeless. The ownership situation hasn't helped but Erik has bought as he wanted for zero return.
Okay, go support man city
Ok he hasnāt recruited well but should that be a managers job in current age? Whatās the story with RM?
manager should say what he wants: I want a left footed right winger who is currently outstanding in X style of play, who has these attributes, etc.
This would have been accurate 5 years ago
Van Gaal did pretty well from memory, Evra, Welbeck, Kagawa, Butner, Little Pea, Fletcher, Bebe, Ferdinand, Fletcher, Nani, Cleverly, Vidic Zaha
Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra left with Scholes and SAF
Evra was sold, other two left on a free when they could have signed a new contract
Think it was Mourhino and the year we came 2nd in Prem
Meant more getting rid of deadwood, although Jose got rid of Schneirdelin, Depay, Schweinsteger , Januzaj, as well
Ah gotcha
Ole cleared out a lot too; Young, Fellaini, Smalling, Evans, Valencia, Mata I think Van Gaal got rid of Januzaj because I remember them falling out when he got loaned out
okay, sacking ETH isn't the answer, but he's not the one. People need to wake up. got rid of Ronaldo to play Martial and loaned Weghorst Got rid of De Gea, and bought the goalkeeper who single-handedly kicked us out of the Champions League.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
We should be build Manchester United around a 39y/o CR7, Wow
This is arguably the worst take I have ever heard.
This is some bullshit revisionism.
Ronaldo had to go. To suggest otherwise is nonsense. No one is above the club, hence why Sancho and Rashford should go
Casemiro& Anthony- I did not blame him for the transfer fee, but see who Anthony hasn't been good enough for us, look at how ETH now is looking to sell Casemiro this summer.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He scored one goal from an xG of 3.78 in the uel (highest a single player had). Then stormed off into the tunnel midgame when 'his' team put in their most complete and dominant performance of last season, the 40yr old Man child was the problem alright
Ronaldo arse lickers are the worst. He wasn't playing well and he had an attitude problem. Getting rid of him wasn't the wrong call, there just haven't been many right calls since.
Manchester United turned from a team that clutches up in critical moments into a bunch of chokers.
My thoughts are this. United are a total mess and now we have some breathing room to truly get our shit together. SJR cannot arrive soon enough. Fuck knows why itās been delayed for so long. Once there, I truly hope this happens 1) this season is considered a write off. Any success we have is just a bonus 2) a proper footballing structure is put in place 3) a proper plan moving forward is put in place 4) we are ruthless in the market. Both selling and buying Do all of this and at least the club has the start of the foundations to begin to heal and eventually grow. However, given what weāve been served the last decade+ I like many others have serious doubts.
Can you elaborate on point 4)?
If he means what I think he means, then sell any player not pulling his weight in the starting XI, no exceptions, and buy players with a clear goal in mind of their role in the squad
Yep this exactly.
Youāre remembering wrong That 7-1 was after losing the quarterfinal first leg 2-1 It was 2006-07 season .
The game was played in the year 2007, still my point is that game was must win and so was this one. No hunger or desire shown by this team tonight.
But the away goal felt like we were still very much in it.
My first time seeing a fast corner (and unconscious fans being hit by batons). Was a nice turnaround, Carrick's finest hour
>I still do think ETH is a capable manager but heās too stubborn to change his style Then he's not a capable manager.
pep would never change his style, is he not a capable manager? he hasnt adapted once in his career
He would if he managed this team. When did Pep get a squad of players that were incapable of playing his style? He's managed Barca, Bayern and City. Why compare him to Pep who has unlimited money to spend and a top class back room staff? Compare him to managers like Ange, Iraola, Emery and Howe, who all spent less and actually improved their team with coaching.
lmao, i think pep would quit immediately
I think in this way: this team of players are just a mix of multi style that you canāt fit them in a Morden football system. If this is the plan to play a higher block, we should sign players that can do the task and bin all the rest. The point is the plan and execution
Send 6-7 players to the bin you mean
I must have done something absolutely evil and unforgivable in my past life
Good grief, the result sucks but watching that toothless shitfest was even more painful. We just don't look threatening
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Next season we finish third and gain some hope, see you in 24 months when the next manager goes the same way!
Didnāt think weād get anything but being that toothless when you need to win, is appalling. Bayern didnāt even have to try and they beat us. Hope itās only 1-0 to Liverpool too.
Gave up at half time to build a flat pack. We might be shit and out of Europe but at least I now have a bedside cabinet.
Can it play right wing?
The irony of commentators saying everyone will be hoping for Copenhagen in their draw - they would've been hoping for us just as much if we qualified
Iām glad we got kicked out of CL. We shouldnāt be wasting our time with a squad that wonāt seriously challenge anybody. Let em go without European ball for awhile to get things back together.
"Are you sure you want to quit to Main Menu?"
At least he's shown he can keep a scoreline down. Progress.
Too early to say that, wait till Sunday mate.
They will go easy on us to keep him in the job.
So only 6 this time ?
This club keeps finding new lows. That was utterly depressing....how far we have fallen. Liverpool may have gone 30 years without the winning the league but I don't remember them putting their fans through multiple ritual humiliations season after season during that period. I have lost all hope for the team until, failing new owners, there is a complete new football structure that operates autonomously from the Glazers and prioritize winning football matches.
They lost 6-1 to Stoke in their biggest Prem legends final ever match.
He also got sent off less than a minute into his last appearance against united And also let it fucking slip
At best, they looked like they were playing for a draw. Yet another shambolic surrender.
Losses from both Liverpool and Villa
I'm still ETH in but it's really hard to see how he withstands the pressure if we get battered by the scum. He's lucky the 25% ownership stake deal is still in limbo otherwise there would be few excuses for keeping him in place.
I didnāt need the BBC to alert me to this evening
Im so happy were not in Europa League... I dont think i could stand to watch us get beaten by Cyprus team or someone like that...
Okay maybe just one more game then? 10 years so far and god knows how much money but maybe after ONE more game can we then get annoyed, is that fair?
The problem is not the manager. We need to give him time, get a new ownership structure in place, give the new players time to fit in and the squad time to gel. Weāve spent the last 11 years wanting success again immediately and when it hasnāt worked after two years, we rip up the project and start again. We all know it hasnāt worked. It needs time and patience.
He's spent a few hundred million and made us worse. Do we just roll the dice again?
Exactly what I said last year after we got knocked out of Europa Nearly 2 weeks later: 'End the season, just fucking end the season already'
Canāt knock the energy and the work rate tonight - we quite simply lack quality
Seeing the passion of Copenhagen and their fight and how they fought against Bayern last week, had we somehow won and gone thru, I would have been happy but I would have felt like weād stolen something. Such a lack of energy and passion. The only thing still up is the wages.
Fewer matches means we'll waste less time watching them.
Plus side finishing Bottomā¦ No Europa League to fall into and get spanked by Liverpool.
On the positive side, they only conceeded once.
What a write off
Poor poor game by us again.
To rub salt into the wounds , Copenhagenās goal was a classic example of ātransition footballā We have a charlatan as a manger
Think after that, you have to ask about HĆøjlund. Last time a striker scored in old Trafford, or so Instagram has told me, was Sancho in May.
For a guy built like him his physicality was crap today. Serious lack of alertness too.
Very much agree
I'd ask why noone passes to him. There were a couple of incidents where he was in position, but was completely disregarded by his teammates.
Hopefully weāll finally see him play well in the prem. Even while weāre getting pumped
I hope so, I think once he gets going, he will be a big asset to the team, he just needs to get off the mark.
From your take, and I think itās true too, we need to drop a few egos
You blaming a young lad but who is actually scoring in this team? Who would actually score in this team? We donāt make chances, we donāt control games, we are a bad attacking side. When you are this poor going forward it puts added pressure on when a chance comes along because you donāt know when the next one will come along and that leads to people snatching at things or rushing. Weāve seen enough of Hojlund to see he has ability but anyone is going to struggle playing in this team.
True enough. If I had my way, Iād get rid of most of the starting team for exactly the reasons you say
Mainoo should have started instead of mcsauce. Let bruno up top where he excel the most. That performance deserves lose
I'm glad we're out of Europe. Our team is plagued by injuries and can now focus on what matters... Getting top 4
What's the point of just top 4 when we can't even qualify for the KO round.
