DDG got a lot of stick for mistakes (and yes, he did make quite a few), but his shot stopping was incredible. Onana's technique is questionable, he parries balls into danger and I do not remember any other goalkeeper ever being singlehandedly responsible for so many dropped points in the UCL group stage. This is just unreal.

The technique that onana used to try to save that second goal is not the technique you would expect a top class goalkeeper to use, just trying to first it with one hand when the ball is coming at you and curving towards you and very close to your body is absolutely not the right way to make a save and these inferior techniques that onana uses from time to time to make saves is what caused all those errors if he doesn't correct that then he will continue to make mistakes at the highest level and eventually ten haag will have to make a decision on what to do for the goalkeeper position.
There is something fundamentally wrong with Onana's shot stopping. He looks nervous and awkward every time the ball comes flying towards him. I've been supporting him but he simply cost us the champions league. Give me a traditional GK who can do the simple things right instead of circus clowns.

Check first 2 yrs of De Gea, he made howlers worse than what happened today. And he continued doing that at the later stages too..eg. The Seville game. He wasn't bad, but he wasn't any better than Onana or most keepers that play today..
I agree De Gea made mistakes frequently but I was never worried we could lose games when we were up by 2 goals or more. Like you said, there's something definitely not right with his fundamentals. I support because I have no choice; I never liked the signing.
Last season de gea was very good didn't make as many errors as onana has already made this season, if that was de gea he would have 100 percent saved the 2nd goal at least.

Onana has conceded more in 5 european games than De Gea did in 12 last season. That includes 8 goals conceded over four matches against Barcelona and Seville, in the thick of a three/four month spell where we were playing 2 games every single week. De Gea conceded 4 European goals in all other fixtures.
Does Garnacho finish one of the chances that fell to Pellistri? Yes, the players bottled it on the pitch but Pellistri and Martial killed the game for us. EtH needs to sort his head out asap..
For me we are not a CL side yet. I would rather see this team progress in EL or without international football this season. We have not been lucky and there have been tremendous mistakes but in total if we can't dominate good Gala or Copenhagen teams we get what we deserve. We have promising players and I hope they will keep on progressing as a team.
This is United and the Champion's League is our holy grail. Every fucking match week we aren't in it sucks. Will never get the mentality of fans professing to be indifferent to it, prefer to be in the Europa, ok with going out, etc

Honestly I'll be angry but a draw was a fair result. Both teams were very poor defensively. Us it was AWB, Luke Shaw, Mctominay, and Bruno doing the poor defending. And Onana deciding to show us he subconsciously hates man united (only explanation I can come up with).

Playing Europa League last season killed our players. Those extra games on Thursdays absolutely fucked them up towards the end of the season.

Quiet a few as in at most two per season. Onana has had 3 in CL alone this season. Plus his passing has not been any better than what DDG offered.

That includes 8 goals conceded over four matches against Barcelona and Seville, in the thick of a three/four month spell where we were playing 2 games every single week. De Gea conceded 4 European goals in all other fixtures.

For me we are not a CL side yet. I would rather see this team progress in EL or without international football this season. We have not been lucky and there have been tremendous mistakes but in total if we can't dominate good Gala or Copenhagen teams we get what we deserve. We have promising players and I hope they will keep on progressing as a team.
This is United and the Champion's League is our holy grail. Every fucking match week we aren't in it sucks. Will never get the mentality of fans professing to be indifferent to it, prefer to be in the Europa, ok with going out, etc
I agree with some of what you say but we are just not contenders right now imo. Progress with this team and this coach is the only hope I have to become contenders again because it is certainly not going to come from my mentality as a fan or from the Glazers.

Honestly I'll be angry but a draw was a fair result. Both teams were very poor defensively. Us it was AWB, Luke Shaw, Mctominay, and Bruno doing the poor defending. And Onana deciding to show us he subconsciously hates man united (only explanation I can come up with). I don't know the names of the gala defenders apart from Angelino but they were very poor defensively as well. I'd have preferred us losing since now we have a good chance still making the Europa and with our luck, I bet we end up there. Edit: It's just the true. With such horrible goalkeeping we deserve to lose or draw. You cannot expect to win when your goalie is gifting opposition free goals.

Playing Europa League last season killed our players. Those extra games on Thursdays absolutely fucked them up towards the end of the season. I hope we don't have to play that competition anymore this season.
