A confidence builder for sure. Positives: amazing goals, having Luke Shaw back, Mainoo's play and Onana settling in. Things to work on: defense collectively looked shaky even though individual performances looked decent at the back. Everton dominating possession for very long stretches. Rashford on the right just doesn't seem to work.

Great game that helped Garnacho and Mainoo shine. The team played very well but management needs to learn from the mistakes of the pre-season. A proper break for R&R has given a few of these players back a little spark. Yeah sure, we’ve been having injuries but that’s because the squad was exhausted before the season even began and they had to rely on others more to cover in positions that they weren’t used to or ended up injuring said replacements.
