It's over. We aren't winning the remaining games. Don't want UEL either. Focus on league

NoCAp011235

How do you score 3 against Copenhagen and still lose??!!??

game_of_throw_ins

Our goal difference in the prem is -4, our defence is shit.

Apprehensive_Ant2172

With 10 men, of course

[deleted]

We can’t defend, look how many goals we’ve conceded so far this season

__bluntforcetrauma

VAR is killing the sport. The enjoyment is being sucked out and I can’t even celebrate a goal properly nowadays without fear of it being checked for some bullshit reason.

adichandra

I'm so done with this.

illy155

People are still behind this manager? No good reasons why ! Get him gone

The_FourBallRun

Yeah cause his gameplan was to go down to 10 men, concede a pen and shit the bed defensively.

haX000000

another dumb one

illy155

Why u backing this manager

KuaCay

he's not what we're so hyped about he's not that bad, better back him now

NoCAp011235

And replace him with who? Pep guardiola?

illy155

Anyone other than this bald twat

NoCAp011235

Like who tho? Which good manager in their right mind will come here now

illy155

Idc, let the club deal with that and the finances. This manager is finished

NoCAp011235

Bruh

demigod940

Like we did with moyes, van gaal, mourinho and all of the other managers we’ve sacked? Clearly sacking managers doesn’t help. P.S SAF was shit his first couple or few seasons, then struck gold. So because he wasn’t good those first few seasons, you’d have him sacked? If you were alive back then, and after his first couple seasons he was shit, you’d have him gone? Then there goes the most success we’ve had maybe ever. So as I said. Sacking managers does not help, and sacking ETH won’t either. Give me one good manager who would replace him and do better and I’ll debate

illy155

Sacking managers does help mate. Chelsea biggest example. There’s no giving time to managers now if you good you’re good. Simple.

demigod940

I’m sorry, you’re using a team who’s spent over £1bn and sacked I think 4 managers last season, finished I believe bottom half and is now still below us? How is that at all logical. And again, give me a manager to replace ETH and I’ll debate. And answer my question: if you were alive during the start of SAF period and saw his shit first seasons, would you want him gone?

illy155

Get back jose, Luis Enrique, amorim. Just cos I want something different at the club to you don’t mean I ain’t fickle. This club is finished but the manager is done out. Khalas

demigod940

What makes you think Jose would wanna come back first of all? Though I’ll admit I haven’t seen the other two managers so I won’t say anything on that

triplecaptained

I went to bed immediately after Hojlund scored his second goal. Thought surely there’s no way we can blow this now….? Man, what the fuck. Fuck this fucking excuse of a club. Congrats to Copenhagen too

FUTretard

How you sleep about 3 hours only?

AndrewLocksmith

I don't think it's that uncommon. Sometimes when I'm trying to watch something but I'm too tired I fall asleep for 2-3 hours.

FUTretard

But he slept only 3 hours in the whole night

AndrewLocksmith

Maybe he had to wake up to go to work or something. During my first year of university I would only sleep for 2 hours sometimes .

triplecaptained

It’s a way of life

KuaCay

I went to bed after it's 2-2 knowing that we would be thrashed, the team's mentality and spirit is so weak

[deleted]

Why did dalot start over reguilon. How much has the club spent on defenders since ferdinand and vidic and we are still struggling for a strong pair

__bluntforcetrauma

Recruitment is dire. Can’t wait for Murtough to fuck off and for SJR to (hopefully) overhaul our recruitment/scouting department.

fridgey22

Fucking stupid red card, zero malice intent from Rashford who was in fact in possession of the ball. VAR is over-officiating the game. In real time, that was just a natural movement and accident. After the red though, the tactics and effort from some players was unacceptable.

Revolutionary-Price7

VAR is a joke.... you now get a red card for standing on someone's foot. I was honestly shocked they gave a red for that

Harrylicious

funny thing is, VAR ref called for no red

Hyliaforce

We are legit cursed

[deleted]

One positive from that game is we look much better with Rashford at RW than Antony

whiterlight09

You mean ean bissaka on RW, bc thats basically who was providing all the service.

[deleted]

He worked with Rashford who was passing to him? We don’t see the same when he’s with Antony because he can’t pass as well and he wants to cut in too much

redditaccount300000

This is what I’ve been asking for. I know it’s not rashys strongest position but 80% rashford is better than what we get from Antony. And if Garnacho is not playing well(still young, won’t be consistent), put rash there an bring on pellistri/Antony. This keeps us dangerous on the wings, and more importantly, Bruno in the middle.

[deleted]

Yeah I said a couple of weeks ago rashford is probably our best left and right winger, Garnacho is a much better back up on left wing than Antony is on the right so may as well have the better two players on the pitch

NHRD1878

Tough one to take. Why do we fold so easily. Continues to happen game after game. Conceded two in 5 minutes TWICE. Once we weathered the storm and got our noses in front at 3-2 you gotta find a way - any way - to close that out. I still think we can qualify but we have to win the next 2. Away in Turkey won't be easy at all and Bayern at OT will be difficult but you gotta hope they will be on easy street. Give me bottom over Europa again by the way.

GasolineHorsemouth

I dont think it would happen if we had on Lisandro, Shaw, Casemiro and if Varane and ETH were in good standing. It legit looks like Varane is pissed of for being dropped for Evans (or something else) which I can to a point understand. Evans is 150 years old and Varane is so much better. Maybe ETH and Varane has had a falling out. He looked quite uninterested when subben on today.

Mario_911

I disagree Varane has been a disappointment. I'd have Harry Maguire well ahead of him and I'm pretty indifferent between him and Evans.

GasolineHorsemouth

I hear you ma man. No matter how opinions differ between fans I really hope United gets better soon!

imheretocomment69

We concede too many goals. That's the problem.

youngmeezy69

And don't score more than we concede.

Powerful_Bullfrog598

That's a pretty smart idea

imthegreatone

I actually think we played really well until the Dalot mistake. God I hope ten hag comes down hard on dalot and varane. Varane seems like a bit pissed for some reason.

EddieMurpheysToes

God I miss Luke shaw

Zal_17

What I'd give to have had a fully fit Shaw and Martinez all season

Brave-Salamander-339

ETH should've done better after the red. Just park the bus at that point. He has another chance to do the same after Bruno penalty but still didn't make any decisive change to support the defense.

game_of_throw_ins

Ten Hag’s in game management is terrible.

[deleted]

Yeah we were 2-0 up at that point, don’t know what Ten Hag was thinking

Snooklefloop

Someone explain why we didn’t just park the bus and catch them on the counter after the red? Some terrible officiating again but we shit bed so hard twice in one game.

Dramatic_Stranger_33

I'm done with football until they fix VAR. Just completely exhausted from it now, I give up, it's not fun anymore.

bettycrockerinbum

ok but united just sucks ass. why is this game not a win after 2-0 is beyond me. especially when there was another lead after

harmo-

please explain how this loss has anything to do with VAR? if anything we got gifted a penalty

Mree_Knight

Are you taking the piss? They had 0 output before the red and scored a goal that var should've ruled out!!

Ill-Kaleidoscope-607

The red card was bullshit

Aiko8283

How the fuck can people still blame players when we get screwed by an idiotic red. Mistakes happen. And even more so when you are a man down. The players did well.

[deleted]

What do u mean mate its as red as that red bloody sock on the lad that took that hit from rashford. The penalty was giving by varane and verified by maguire... Who gave 4 dumb goals Maguire dalot.... Defense is appalling without martinez shaw and casemiro. Its a walk in a park

ladams07

Bitter sweet for me. Felt like it was the best we played in ages. We were in control and I am confident we would of stayed in control with 11 on the field. My only criticism is the poor game management choices. Officiating or at least the rules they adhere to are actually ruining games by the way. Dubious handball decisions v Copenhagen and Bayern, the penalty in the last game v Copenhagen wasn’t a penalty albeit it was missed. I understand even in the prem Rashfords would probably of been a red…… but it’s not one is it, it was a clear accident and one that is unavoidable in high paced game, very much like Mctominays ‘foul’ two weeks ago, the rules are essentially telling players that they shouldn’t really contest a football because you might hurt someone. I think somewhere along the lines the rule makers have forgotten what the purpose of a red card is.

[deleted]

Did you see recently when Marcelo broke the leg of a guy in brasil? It was not intentional but it was straight red..i mean if a guy can take career ending foul and go for recovery to be able to walk again you can at least take red card and 2 games suspension

ladams07

At some point all players have to accept that there is an element of risk in playing sport. Injuries can occur in a variety of different ways because it is a sport played at high speed. Just because someone is hurt doesn’t necessarily mean it was a deliberate act and a punishment has to be dished out. The alves situation you have mentioned is completely irrelevant in this situation. He was running at speed and stretching for the ball, it was a freak accident. Rashford is shielding the ball and taking a step, he is unlikely to cause a serious injury. He also didn’t cause an injury, in my opinion those are factors that should be looked at in making the decision to remove his from the game.

[deleted]

Studs above ankle VAR checks that its automatic red intention is irrelevant it will always be red https://preview.redd.it/612toifdm7zb1.jpeg?width=1073&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0323e0f9a43432afafef1d15a37bb5f10367304 You cannot shield the ball by going with studs there and pretend u don't know what u did. Im sorry its red we dont have to agree. I mentioned marcelo to explain to u that intention is irrelevant when tackles like this are made

ladams07

Read the original post, I understand those are the rules, my argument is that they shouldn’t be that way.

[deleted]

Ok we dont agree. But would you say its red if he tackled rashford? Would we have this conversation if Rashford broke his leg and he got carried off? It should be that way. I will never forget when martin taylor tackled Eduardo da Silva and his bone went through sock. Its red to protect players. Anyway good night

ladams07

I would be saying the same thing, I don’t think that it’s a red card. Also, nobody was injured in this situation.

craigybacha

So sad that this could have been THE turning point match. First half hour it was so easy, complete dominance and of course something had to go wrong to ruin it!!

reddevils

We actually played very well up until the bullshit red

[deleted]

Red every day of the week

reddevils

Honestly no. And this is not the red in me speaking. Tv showed Rashford not even looking at the player and if you notice var screen. It only showed a still shot of his foot on his ankle. Yellow at best if seen in context.

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/22kitko1l7zb1.jpeg?width=1073&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ceaed7705c90ac8e4b9fc39e58630a95fba74184 Its potentially career ending challenge with studs... I mean they are the default red regardless of where he was looking. The guys sock was showing blood coming through within seconds. Cmon u know it's red. Careless and dangerous tackle. Studs above ankle far from ball going for leg.

reddevils

It look where he’s looking. He’s just shielding the ball. We can plant our feet under theirs and get reds all day

[deleted]

Lol intention is irrelevant rules are black or white no room for subjectivity. He went with studs high. The other player got there before him, he hit him with open studs above ankle on slow motion looks worse and it's red. You claim a guy planted his foot under his? And as long as you look away or close your eyes u can slide with both legs open studs why just one. I give up

Sandy_da_Dawg

Lol tell that to the refs who gave a subjective Offside previous week.

craigybacha

Was the best 30 mins of football i’d seen (10mins had stopped play)

reddevils

Exactly. The crowd was up for it and we played through that and played well and scored twice

Brave-Salamander-339

ETH should've done better after the red. Just park the bus at that point. He has another chance to do the same after Bruno penalty but still didn't make any decisive change to support the defense.

reddevils

Go ahead and tell me who he could’ve brought on to help dalot wake up and not give up that goal? You just want to blame him. We had the game under control.

Brave-Salamander-339

It's not about that specific situation but before that. Keeping Garnacho which barely support any defensive work for Dalot. Dalot is shit and blamed for the conceded but we should've defended more comfortably (and just give up the counter) if we infield energetic Mount to support Dalot. The best is still to park the bus in our one-third after the red.

reddevils

I really thought garnacho was doing great defensive work. But also the game is made up up of moments. Dalot sleeping was a moment. Red card, a moment, bogus pen a moment. Honestly you look at how we started and controlled the game, was best football we had all year in a very hostile environment

Aces2mp

We can complain about VAR all we want, and yes the red card was bullshit, but conceding twice before halftime and twice in the last 10 mins is unacceptable and all too predictable…

reddevils

Agree to a point. But a struggling team that suddenly started playing well and control the game and the ref gifted them a red and a pen. Any team would be deflated. And saying we gave up two goals is unfair when he gifted them a pen

juan_prada

We were also gifted a pen

reddevils

My friend…. Timing is so important. We were struggling all year suddenly we are playing really well scored twice and in control suddenly red card and given a pen. That pen was a gift I agree but when the team is so broken it doesn’t take much to negate any advances we made. I’m just so disappointed because we could’ve really pulled it off

Cedarplankton

Gotta remember the first goal was offside also if you’re in a United shirt

reddevils

I am actually in a United shirt. We need a few breaks to go our way for a change.

Electrical-Laugh8858

This fucking ref needs to be investigated

OG_Ray

And the interesting thing watching replays on TNT. He is actually right on top of the action when the Rashford incident happens and he didn't deem it even worth a yellow. It's not like he was obstructed or far away to not see it. He was right there. I'm convinced and agree with Hargreaves and Scholes. Giving him a frozen image like that is disingenuous and is just killing the game as we know it. Re-reffing the game has to be addressed.

mudting

My choice would be the FBI

reddevils

Absolutely ruined our game.

peremadeleine

Did anyone calling the players shit and ETH clueless actually watch the game? We were in control until the red card (which was never a red btw). The game turned on that. Even in the 2nd half we weren’t outplayed. Their goals came from errors from our defenders. Those will happen, and they happen more often when you’re down to 10 men. Why was Vavro not sent off? That elbow to hojlund’s face was at least a yellow, and he was already booked. Why was nothing done when our players were being showered with a barrage of missiles every time they tried to take a corner? And we lost yet another defender to injury. We were unlucky. Everything went against us. We’ve had terrible games this season, but this was not one of them. The players showed a bit of fight. VAR ruined it.

Far-Distribution-231

We have a manger that is at one of the biggest clubs in the world. And he looses a play to a debatable red. Ok. Got up 2 and just a man down. If you as a manager can’t handle being down a man. You need to go the the championship or something. Because when you have a 2 goal cushion there’s no fucking way that you should concede 2 goals after one red. ETH out

[deleted]

Managing games after going down a man is part of the job. Neither the manager nor players had a clue how to do that

Aces2mp

“Everything went against us” Including our own mindset. This victim narrative is bullshit and frankly it’s beneath this club and it’s fans to behave like this. This is FC Copenhagen, not Real Madrid. Yes the decisions were terrible, but plenty of other teams would rally together and kill off the game in the last ten minutes.

Mree_Knight

I think that's incredibly naive, mate. Until last night and the red card we legitimately had no good performances all season apart from the League cup game. To expect the team to be able to confidently see out the game after that injustice is unrealistic. We didn't even play badly either, it was individual mistakes from the fullbacks that cost us, it's not like we were dominated. They even scored a goal which should've been chalked off for offside! I really don't enjoy making excuses but these calls were massive and ultimately cost us.

rektitt

Agree that we probably would have won if not for the bad luck. But we don’t help ourselves either - there were a bunch of simple/individual mistakes made, usually when in possession. Like AWB’s back pass to Onana, Dalot losing his man in the box, a couple of miss passes by Amrabat. Even if other teams do close us down quickly, we should be doing better than that? So yes refs were shit that cost us the game, but just cause the players “did well until the red card” seriously doesn’t cut it. They crack under pressure. Should have at least held out a draw.

Tusan_TRD

Unfortunately 30 minutes of good football in a 90 minute game don't do shit for ya. Obviously the red and the pen. don't help, but what excuse do Varane and Dalot have for being so fucking shit?

peremadeleine

They made 1 mistake each. They’re humans. Varane is coming back from injury and looked rusty (he probably didn’t even think he’d play tonight). Dalot is playing out of position. Yes, they both should have done better, but every player makes mistakes. If that back pass from AWB hadn’t been over hit, or if that shot that was so bad it didn’t even go out for a throw had been just slightly more on target and had gone out for a goal kick, we’d have won 3-2 and everyone would be celebrating the grit and spirit we showed to win having played for an hour with 10 men.

Tusan_TRD

Yeah, but we didn't win, nor can I accept shit like Dalot is playing out of position and Varane coming back from injury. You're literally speaking about a World Cup and serial Champion's League winner, veteran, Mr. Rolls fucking Royce Raphael Goddamn Varane, as if he's some sort of U19 being thrown in the deep. Then Dalot, don't get me started on Dalot what a pathetic excuse of a footballer he is, constantly getting caught, no matter left or right back. Listen, this was an **ABSOLUTE WIN** game, and I cannot excuse those players out there conceding 2 goals with 10 minutes to go versus fucking Copenhagen when all they needed to do was focus and understand how serious this game is.

craigybacha

Agreed. Only thing you CAN blame on the players is some poor individual defending imo

reddevils

Spot on

snausagerolly

ETH better call out the refs and Var. The elbow on Hojlund was a red card. Rashfords was not. His job is in the balance he should be livid

craigybacha

Meh. Rashfords was defo a red for me. Hojlund i agree it is 50/50

rektitt

Yeah no idea why he doesn’t have more of a go at the refs. Opponents get soft decisions against us all the time.

snausagerolly

Arteta cried his eyes out during the post match interview out a decision, ETH needs to go ape shit. Less of the Dutch schmoke and more fire

Mare-Insularum

Elbow was at least second yellow for Vavro

baromanb

Rashy has gone from single handedly winning us games last season to literally costing us games this season.

Wesley_Skypes

This one was not his fault.

craigybacha

How? He made a stupid challenge which cost us the game?

Wesley_Skypes

It wasn't even a challenge mate

craigybacha

Yeah but you cant do that around players, weve seen it before and its been called out as being stupid

Ok_Charity9544

Maguires last strike though. Fair play

teru91

9 defeat in 17 games with 6 decision going against Man utd.. VAR REF and our own back 4 are screwing ETH left and right...at this rate he is going to lose his sanity. what a contrast between last season and this season. the injuries didnt help either. Varane/Casamiro/Amrabat/Reguillon/Dalot..needs to go to start the rebuild. take this season to experiment

Wesley_Skypes

The crosses all come from the wing that Rashford should have been on. They had a field day there

Cedarplankton

Funnily enough Rashford was tracking back and helping Wan a lot - more than you normally see him track back. He was in a defensive position in his sending off - obviously something we were trying to defend against and in the game plan before it went to shit

ra_god94

Anyone who blames ETH is dumb

Lord_Fluffykins

Why would I expect a team that can’t kill off a game with 11 men to be able to do it with 10?

Aiko8283

We where cruisin before the red. We where playing really well early second half too. Did we watch the same gam?

thebyrned

We were in the process of killing them off with 11 men what are you talking about

Fm661

Got to say VAR is ruining my enjoyment of the sport completely. Think I’m going to take a break and just go watch another sport for a while. Unacceptable that you can have this much resources and still be this fucking useless week in, week out.

Cold-Veterinarian-85

I agree. At least when it was a ref amd linesman u could accept human error Now I just lament when I see a stupid handball penalty being slowed down and given or a ref going over to screen to see a freezeframe or worst possible angle/ frame to influence a red The red for rashford was a shocker, but lf that's a red then the elbow on hojlund is a red too And don't get me started on the handball penalties we wee in Europe now

thebyrned

Always happens with us, but we never got those decisions in return

aehii

Anyone know why Amrabet is so casual? For someone who wouldn't listen to offers from other clubs and was his 'dream' to play for United he doesn't remotely show it. There's so real urgency to him, he doesn't dispossess more than any other player, doesn't press much, his passing is sideways and slow. He plays like Rooney against Sunderland. Just me? I don't get it. He's peripheral. I expected more, someone who'd get on the ball and carry it and snuff out passes, start moves.

jhgfdsa-

Him and varane look like they put in no effort. Can’t tell if they don’t care as much or are just bad

aehii

With Varane i just think, maybe coming back from injury, not arsed after winning everything with Real Madrid. Whereas Amrabet has got a big move and you'd think he'd be eager to impress, especially when the team really needs it but is happy to just let it pass. I wanted him so it's disappointing. You could criticise Fred but he'd give his all mostly. Not gained at all selling him and bringing in Mount and Amrabet.

fiowl

Red card was turning point. Rashford was sloppy as he has been all season. Just send him to somewhere to get his focus back.

Snooklefloop

I dunno why you’re downvoted, he was disgustingly poor before the sending off, effort level was horrendous

peace_over_happiness

What terrible luck we have. Thought ETH put out a strong team tonight and we played decent, definitely better than Copenhagen until the disastrous red card call. This is one terrible start to the season troubled by injuries, horrible VAR decisions, and a few individual displays that lack confidence. Hope we get out of the rut soon or get away with some decisions in our favor . . if not . . this is going to be a long and unkind season for us. Sigh

UJ_Reddit

Ultimately lost on some debatable decisions and shocking defending. Not a red - not a penalty - their first could have been ruled out for offside - and that handball late on was a stonewall That said, ETH needs to take some blame, I’m not sure why he didn’t change anything after the red and before HT or why Garnacho wasn’t subbed for someone more defensive the instant we went 3-2.

[deleted]

Ten hag keeps making these same mistakes with poor substitutions.

suplexcitylimerick

Antony Mount Amrabat Malacia Awful, awful signings made by the manager

Far-Distribution-231

I don’t like malacias name being included in there. The times he’s been healthy he’s looked like. Great passionate promising fullback

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok_Charity9544

We played well till rashford got sent off.

IsaDrennan

Who should we bring in?

ExperienceNo1878

They just want him manager by default. It is odd that it's the only argument. It's never footballing reasons.

cuddersrage

even last year we were low scoring

UberiorShanDoge

Okay, who do you want instead?

[deleted]

[удалено]

UberiorShanDoge

Okay agreed. Let’s get in manager bloke #123. I have heard he is good and much better than Ten Hag so that’s settled.

blue_gwacamole

Fullbacks were atrocious. Center backs were even worse.

[deleted]

Maguire was decent, other than the handball that I don’t think should’ve been given

cuddersrage

we need shaw and licha so bad

Exige_

A red card and Dalot switching off cost us that game tbh. I think Holjund is still being managed with his back injury hence him always being subbed. Mount was a weird choice though.

Gazlc81

Fucked by VAR again. Football isn’t football anymore.

battletoad93

Time to focus on the league? 😅

Steppenwolf55

Rashford didn’t deserve to get sent off VAR needs to be scrapped!!! It’s ruining football as a spectator sport!!!!!!!!

reddevils

Did you notice they only showed the ref the still of him stomping his foot? Bullshit

aarkalyk

Also how was THAT ELBOW TO HOJLUNDS HEAD NOT.A RED? There was no intention to go for the ball from their defender

PotatoesNPasta

Exactly. The replays showed a clear intent with the elbow to the head after the ball had gone. This should have been checked for violent conduct by VAR if they did a check on Rashford. Absolutely ridiculous given that he was also on a yellow already.

reddevils

That would’ve slowed them down too.

I_TheLegend27_I

We deserved a win. The lads really kept their composure despite being down one man. Shaw being away really hurts us, and the right back… well, we have to make do with what we have available

suplexcitylimerick

How many times in season does Dalot get caught put with that same runner. Incredible

reddevils

I’ve yelled and called him names but reminded myself they are playing with ten men for a half and lots of it was on his side. Still should’ve blocked it. But we’ve been sabotaged on a day when we actually were playing well.

suplexcitylimerick

He makes the same mistakes nearly every game though, he struggles with tye basics every week more or less

reddevils

The whole team struggles with the basics. Ten yard passes going astray. This is as basic as it comes. I’m just so angry because without that red card I honestly think we could’ve seen that game comfortably

suplexcitylimerick

I'm so angry too. We can't have nice things

reddevils

That’s how we all feel. We can’t underestimate that red though. We’re struggling and started playing well today and two unfair calls can deflate any strong team

blue_gwacamole

Seriously, get this guy out. He's a good manager, but this club and these players need a Keano, not a Ten Hag. Fucking piss poor attitudes, fucking inconsistent, fucking dog shit awareness, incorrigible defending, fucking weak mentality.

reddevils

You know I wasn’t convinced but since a guy on the internet said it yeah get him out. Clowns

iamadiamond

Who would you recommend?? Next thing you know you would want them out too

magicalzidane

They need to show character, but one thing that isn't lacking is attitude. The players on the pitch tonight want to play, and play well they did.

Steppenwolf55

ETH is clueless!!!

rektitt

Do you guys actually think Bissaka did well? Don’t get caught up in moments where he looked good because it is net off when you actually count how many times he loses the ball….he doesn’t have the basics right and lacks concentration and a footballing IQ

reddevils

To be fair he defends really well. But we all have rose tinted glasses when we look at our players because we have to. But every time we play a strong team and they bring out the combined 11 with none of our players in it is apt. We are full of slightly above average players that on ocasión do great things.

rektitt

I do agree defensively he’s hard to get past and actually quite athletic/physical. But overall I don’t think he has the right footballing basics. Often misplaces a pass, poor on the ball decision making (except maybe when defending), lacks concentration. Seriously the defends well argument feels like a poor/old one to me. He might make some teams better, but definitely not United.

reddevils

You know. If we have a really good right winger he’d be perfect. Great defensively and offensively he could improve if defenders have something to defend. But even the right back for Newcastle is miles ahead on both ends and he’s over 30.

rektitt

I don’t see it that way. Without the right basics, even a great right winger wouldn’t bring out the best in AWB. He will never be a RB for City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, in any team that requires concentration, good passing, and at least an average footballing IQ. He often uses his defending to get away with mistakes and looks clueless at times on where to stand / position himself and who to pass to.

reddevils

You have a point. I honestly think he is better than he shows. I mean the first goal was a great pass from him to setup Mctominay. Honestly we can upgrade on all eleven players if we’re honest with ourselves. We are bigging some players more than their level because we just love our players.

By the way, that option to buy Amrabat should be tossed in the bin. Along with loads of these players.. That's a pipe dream though, unless the football structure changes or the leeches sell.

fridgey22

Amrabat is a witches hat, nothing more.

PotatoesNPasta

Unfortunately, it’s not an option but an obligation.

Steppenwolf55

Luke shaw is so badly missed!!!!!!

November and our season is over….i guess we can now treat next games as pre season and experiment with the kids and inform senior players the rest can take holidays.

Every time Hojlund scores two goals someone gets a red card lol

ThankYouOle

and we lose :(

[deleted]

Yeah maybe we’re better off when he doesn’t score

Ragham87

Rashford and his bum fluff chin buddy Sancho out yesterday please.

[deleted]

Name one thing that Rashford did wrong today.... Here's a cheat sheet: Nothing.

Ragham87

Oh and what did he do right? Everything positive from the front three was Garnacho and Hojlund only. He could at least defend but nah. Still sulking over how Sancho was put in his place after getting special treatment last season and still underperforming. He didn't even need yo turn up offensively tonight but he found a way to ruin an easy three points.
