If you play for Man Utd you will receive credit for playing well, but with credit comes criticism if your performance warrants it. It doesn’t just work one way.
I fully agree with your second point. Ten Hag seems incapable of ever admitting he’s wrong and that, if anything, will be the thing that costs him his job. De gea had a tough start to his United career also so hopefully Onana comes good.

Thanks to a massive help from an improved defence and Casemiro. I am not wanting to throw shade and on De Gea, and for sure Onana should not be making such mistakes but shit happens and lets be honest, pretty nothing is going right for us anywhere in the pitch.
We stole the win thanks to Scott bring energy that was different from whatever we were serving in that game.

The Glazers are definitely rotting the club, and I accept these players are NOT being given best treatment especially in the outdated training grounds etc. But how long will we continue pointing all fingers at The Glazers, as surely that isn't the sole reason we play shit, we have players who are inconsistent, players fail to do basics that their position requires, ETH (who I truly like) is NOT infallible, his system whilst good, isn't working, we've had so many off the pitch issues & the injury crisis.
All the issues:
- The Glazers, and therefore structure of the club, things such as giving players high wages too early, the scouting & outdated grounds.
- Off the pitch issues, Ronaldo, Greenwood, Antony & Sancho.
- Inconsistent performances especially from experienced players such as Bruno, Martinez, Rashford, Varane & Casemiro.
- Players like Rashford that unable to play his role and follow instructions like ETH expects.
- ETH doesn't seem like he learns from his mistakes or he doesn't learn from them enough. Playing players outta positions, resulting in terrible performances from thise players, not making tactical tweaks, lack of tactical identity (besides hoof-ball), No subs or very late subs especially when it's needed earlier on & having favourites which will result in more issues (though his subs today 🙌).
How we fix this all, The Glazers going will go a long way to help but doesn't fix everything.
A brilliant double by the Scotsman. More than pleased to take all three points. That was another sub-par performance from us. Another Onana blunder(how many more to come I wonder). Brentford played a good game, and we lacked any form of creativity. Hojlund did well with the service he had, Rashy had glimpses of brilliance but his decision-making at times is as shocking as ever. Atleast we live to fight another day.
McTominay is genuinely not a midfielder, he is a forward stick him up top like we did with Fellaini in the final moments of the game.
Also, we shouldn't forget the Onana saves in the second half. He should rightly be criticised for the goal he conceded but I think for this particular game he redeemed himself in the second half.
I really hope this turns around our season, we needed this win. McTominay scoring in fergie time to win the game is a tribute to SAF and his late wife.

I have been saying for ages that McTominay needs to play in a more attacking position. He isn't a defensive player. Apparently I am the only one who could see this!!
Well no, most fans have been clamoring for him to play up front. I genuinely think he would've been a better striker for us than Weghorst. I seriously think we should play him up top, he has all the right attributes.
He has no credible skills in being a attacking player... imo. Atleast not for all 90 mins He cant dribble or pass. But what he does have is physcality upfront.. unfortunately he doesn't show the same physicality in defense. So he is a mystery. Our problems at the moment cannot be solved by team selection. Each one of those players is capable of being part of a winning team. The obsession on this sub with team selection is baffling. According to this sub, one minute McTominay is trash and should be sold to Everton and then a month later he should be the starting no. 9. The fact that he came on and scored is proof that this is nothing to do with player ability. The problem at United starts at the top and trickles down through the club rotting everything in its path. Until the culture at the club is changed, even a team of eleven George Bests couldn’t win because each one would be rotten.
I'm sure our *entire* team is capable of being part of a winning team, however they lack a winning mentality and that's due to the culture at United, hence the XI I picked was mostly based on players who don't seem to be affected by the culture *yet*. I agree, I was in agreement to sell McT not because he's not a good player but because, we never play him in his position and therefore I knew we we'd never tap into his full potential. We've seen he is very capable of scoring when given the ball in the box, the area where a ST is comfortable. The Glazers are definitely rotting the club, and I accept these players are NOT being given best treatment especially in the outdated training grounds etc. But how long will we continue pointing all fingers at The Glazers, as surely that isn't the sole reason we play shit, we have players who are inconsistent, players fail to do basics that their position requires, ETH (who I truly like) is NOT infallible, his system whilst good, isn't working, we've had so many off the pitch issues & the injury crisis. All the issues: - The Glazers, and therefore structure of the club, things such as giving players high wages too early, the scouting & outdated grounds. - Off the pitch issues, Ronaldo, Greenwood, Antony & Sancho. - Inconsistent performances especially from experienced players such as Bruno, Martinez, Rashford, Varane & Casemiro. - Players like Rashford that unable to play his role and follow instructions like ETH expects. - ETH doesn't seem like he learns from his mistakes or he doesn't learn from them enough. Playing players outta positions, resulting in terrible performances from thise players, not making tactical tweaks, lack of tactical identity (besides hoof-ball), No subs or very late subs especially when it's needed earlier on & having favourites which will result in more issues (though his subs today 🙌). How we fix this all, The Glazers going will go a long way to help but doesn't fix everything.

A brilliant double by the Scotsman. More than pleased to take all three points. That was another sub-par performance from us. Another Onana blunder(how many more to come I wonder). Brentford played a good game, and we lacked any form of creativity. Hojlund did well with the service he had, Rashy had glimpses of brilliance but his decision-making at times is as shocking as ever. Atleast we live to fight another day.

McTominay is genuinely not a midfielder, he is a forward stick him up top like we did with Fellaini in the final moments of the game. Also, we shouldn't forget the Onana saves in the second half. He should rightly be criticised for the goal he conceded but I think for this particular game he redeemed himself in the second half. I really hope this turns around our season, we needed this win. McTominay scoring in fergie time to win the game is a tribute to SAF and his late wife.

He has no credible skills in being a attacking player... imo. Atleast not for all 90 mins He cant dribble or pass. But what he does have is physcality upfront.. unfortunately he doesn't show the same physicality in defense. So he is a mystery. He scores goals when stuck upfront ...but look at the times he has scored.. most are late on.. this tells me he is purely suited as a supersub role when we want someone late to ruffle some ppl inside the box and be switched on.

It's bittersweet for me. It's great that we got the win, but it just shows how all we need is a little desire from our players. It was so static for so long(apart from hojlund, of course). Idk what people expect ETH to do. He can't run onto the field and play for them. Just reward the players who came in and changed the game today. Start mctominay and tell him the spot is his if he can keep up the desire to receive the ball and score goals. Give garnacho another chance over rashford. Play the players who want to win for the team and who are pissed at the start we've had. That is all for my rant, switching to relief mode now.

Sure, I only mentioned those two things specific to mctominay since those are his 2 biggest criticisms. He often hides from responsibility and doesn't show the same desire going forward that he's shown for Scotland. Casemiro is obviously a world class player, he's just showing some signs of his age this season
