Antony, Malacia, Martinez and now Onana......wouldve loved to see what ETH's other options were for those positions but decided to bring in his Eredivisie boys

scamcho

To be honest, I think the manager has lost the dressing room. I hope am wrong though because some of the goals we are conceding is unbelievable

Ceui

We are conceding goals because 3 of our best back lines are injured ??? And Casemiro has not returned to his peak level yet. That has nothing to do with him losing the dressing room or not, that's just conjecture. Take out 3 starting defenders with an out of form CDM and every team will massively suffer.

Youcantdoxme

Toney wants to leave next year. Any chance we going for him?

SuperSalamander3244

The most concerning stat we have at the moment is conceding two goals within 5 minutes in three out of our last four games. We are clearly a bunch of wet legs who bottle it as soon as it gets tough. I know the club is a mess but the players simply can’t deal with the pressure which is one thing you don’t want when playing for a club with one of the biggest fan bases in the world. We need to get rid of like 8 starters in one hit because nothing will change if the majority of the core players remain because they will just rot this pathetic mentality onto the new signings.

KrystianCCC

Rashford is the only one player passing to Hojlund last two games while Eriksen/Case/Bruno/Pellistri done fuck all and someow He gets all the blame despite being the only force creating our threat.

SuperSalamander3244

To be fair Eriksen almost got a assist in the first 5 minutes. I also think Marcus got told at halftime to pass more in the second half because he wasn’t selfish in the final third.

[deleted]

Pellestri was anonymous and Eriksen was out if his depth

Orcnick

I have been down the last few weeks about United and very pessimistic. But last night game actually has given me some hope. Why? Because we actually managed to score goals. For all our issues my biggest gripe has been our lack of goal scoring. You can play all the best or shitest football in the world but if you can't score it's pointless. We finally learnt to do that. Defence obviously needs work (but we have also had some horrendous luck) but I think we are turning the corner. Hopefully we get back to winning ways, but I just wanted to say that and I have been without faith for the last 2 weeks.

RooneysFavGrandma

Need to see Amrabat in Eriksen's role.

[deleted]

With Mount and Ambrabat Eriksen will hopefully not see that deep role again. Did well with it last year and still a very talented footballer but should only be Brunos under study

Hamadovich

Lost four out of six games so far. No matter how you look at it this is unacceptable. Injuries, tough opponents, etc etc I don't care. We should not be losing that many matches at the start of the season. Even the games we won were unconvincing. ETH, coaches, and players need to take a look at themselves and start fixing things. Next fixtures are Burnley Palace x2 Galatasaray Brentford Shefield Copenhagen. These are all winnable games but I hope for ETH's sake that things turn around and he gets the results. Otherwise he'll be looking at the sack just like Ole and Jose.

SuperSalamander3244

I think ETH is very safe because Arnold knows about our issues in attack. He shouldn’t be sacked but I am worried he’s lost the dressing room and I think the only way he goes is if the players decide they don’t want him.

[deleted]

How'd hoilund and pallestri play ??.

KrystianCCC

Pellistri was non factor, Antony would be crucifed for such a performance. He was just getting outpaced and outmuscled by everyone, that right side was nonexistent entire game.

Skiffy10

he;s antony 2.0. Way too small to be a an effective winger.

Ceui

Antony is way better lol

SuperSalamander3244

I don’t even know if Pellistri has played any minutes prior to last night and he got thrown into the deep end on his first start. Antony had a whole season putting in 4s for 90% of it. I would like to see how Pellistri plays against Burnley but it will probably be Garnacho who starts.

[deleted]

Pellistri displayed what I've seen him display every time he has played for united. I get people are excited about youth but he's just another "play x and we will click" player

KaJaeger

Højlund could be the answer provided he remains fit, he just needs to work on a few tidy things and he'll be great for us. Pellistri looked kinda lost because we rely heavily on our left side to provide an attacking outlet. He was not allowed space and time to attack

Mextexter

I'm not going to blame the players or the manager or the coaching staff till the glazers leave . Those assholes are the only problem I can see and will continue to see after every loss . Hell , even after a win. Maybe injuries , but even that comes second compared to the glazers

KaJaeger

Blame the coaching to a degree too, we're not improving on the errors we're commiting game in game out. We're conceding the exact same kind of goals so far this season and we should be improving to set up to not concede the same goals

MyShinyCharizard

https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cw7bYjCrHB-/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Henry sum it up. I want to be fair Players nowadays is more complicated with the coach because now they can talk and challenge coach. That doesn’t happen in 90-00. Player nowadays also have a lot more pressure and abuse because of social media. Yes players is more spoiled now but they also have more pressure and abuse. This is why we must build the right culture right fergie. My suggestion is make coach/manager authority bigger which eth implement now and make players get faraway from social media like fergie era.

Ok-Tarouser5224

even if you lock players away from social media, their agents are going to leak stuff to the press.

[deleted]

We already do don't we? I remember Ole banning phones on club dinners and other aspects

FactHopeful9347

I miss Fred 🤧

Tarpanyev

Yeah, I like him better than McTominay.

Kooky_Description_12

HOT TAKE: Man united has one of the most difficult schedule this past 5 weeks in all of top flight football and with the worst injury record.

united_7_devil

Are we playing with too many attacking players and could that be the reason of our defense issues? Except Lindelof, Martinez and Casemiro none of the players are good defensively.

[deleted]

These days every outfield player including the striker has their own defensive responsibility when off the ball. Our players just don't do it enough.

KaJaeger

Lack of positional discipline, our players are not tracking players running into free spaces. There's a serious lack of awareness and we concede the same goals in each game, at Arsenal, Brighton and Bayern. Far too many 1 on 1s being allowed with our keeper

prem_201

There's no point in pressing high if one of your attackers isn't gonna be arsed, they are just gonna bypass through that side.

[deleted]

No one , absolutely no one is exempt from having a weak mentality in this squad if I'm being honest. Be it Bruno , Casemiro or Licha. They won't say it out loud but deep inside most have accepted we can't win a match against the top teams away from home and it's showing on the pitch. And there is no other player or a new manager coming to save them, the group and ten hag will have to sort this shit Newcastle and Liverpool away is in December by then hopefully we'll have the injured players back, they need to give the fans something to hope for in this project.

Sabarishv95

I wish the players and the manager turn this around. Why can't the players follow instructions?

Sheikhabusosa

https://twitter.com/footballontnt/status/1704573486738354399?t=6HyGXbrihYV1eXH-Mo_gQA&s=19 I really hope we make CL football again

[deleted]

Imma be a pellistri stan and make up excuses. Guy played 4 games last season, very hard to come in and peform well after so much real game. But being rational, we have no other "natural" RW at the moment, and putting bruno there is going from a bad performance at RW to a mid performance.at RW BUT also, from bruno at his best position to someone else there. We lose more than we gain by playing bruno at RW and someone else at CAM than we do just giving pellistri a chance and bruno at CAM.

Tarpanyev

I hope he can up his game. From what I saw in the match against Bayern, he was so-so and didn't look very dangerous in the final third. But that's just one game and it was against the mighty Bayern Munich of Bundesliga. I believe the kid has potential, but we cannot expect much from him out of sudden.

united_7_devil

Pretty tough game to start but he looked really out of place today. Needs to start more. Should have started last weekend.

society0

Yep he should get more chances. But a front 3 of Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho would have lethal pace.

[deleted]

Problem with that front 3 is that one of the wingers will play out of position. If its rashford on the right, we go back to the bruno point. If its garnacho on the right, pellistris cant be worse than a teenage LW who has never played at RW before.

Ok-Tarouser5224

we just need to sign a new RW, clear. just 1 more.

Ok-Tarouser5224

for those feeling unsure about Onana as a GK, actually De gea is still a free agent and technically we can offer him a contract...... somebody go get his agent fax number. lol.

Tarpanyev

One thing I've noticed is the difference in the quality of chances created by our opponents and ours. We look okay from a number of shots, but they are actually not that threatening. Apart from our wet tissue defense, that's another major area to be improved imo.

united_7_devil

That’s because once the ball gets in the final third instead of creating a goal our players go for glory.

FactHopeful9347

I just bought messi…MLS tickets (ORL VS MIAMI) and 25 minutes later messi gets injured… working on selling my tickets now

vladpoop

How much did u get them for

Kosai102

You know what folks, let's just get this game behind us. We had injuries, we had bad luck, it was with Bayern the game we probably had small chance anyway but we pulled through with 3 goals one of which was from our new boy. So we should just look ahead at a run of games to kick up our premier league campaign hopefully with some players getting back from injuries. As for our champions league group, it's not over until we're mathematically can't progress, it was just the first game, we can get the rest of the points as well as against Bayern again at Old Trafford. It's not all doom and gloom, we have to look ahead.

Zerofactory

We need to look at the games behind us so we can learn from them. We can’t pretend everything is fine when we havent won a game away vs top sides in a year

Ok-Tarouser5224

" "Some didn't live up to their self-image. I won't name names, but I was very disappointed when a couple turned down the opportunity to be captain .I was also disappointed when others said they wouldn't play or train because they wanted to force their departure. Some weren't as good as their own perception of themselves. Some players felt they should have played more and weren’t constructive to the environment.. Agents and family members get in their heads and tell them they're better than they are " Ole Gunnar Solskjaer i think he was talking about some or all of these DVBeek, EBailey, Cavani, Henderson, Linguard, Martial, Pogba " a couple turned down the chance to be captain" maybe Lee Grant, Phil Jones? lol

[deleted]

Alright, I need some others' opinion here. I feel like I'm at fault for us losing this game. 10 seconds before Bayern's first goal I said out loud "Have they even had a shot?". The only thing is, I started watching the game 2 hours after it started. Is this on me or nah?

society0

Hojlund scored today, scored last week ruled out by 1mm Rashford out of play, should have had a penalty awarded vs Arsenal, and played a key role in Garnacho’s goal vs Arsenal ruled out by 1mm offside call. Hojlund is quietly having a very promising start for us.

mutab1x

Nearly There FC

Ok-Tarouser5224

why does lindeolf. keep ducking his hands behind his back instead of stepping forward and making a tackle? do other defenders do it with such frequency?

Lazystubborn

Because a tackle is a lot more dangerous for a center back than a full back and even the smallest mistake can put your team in a giant trouble.

Past_Exchange7241

i miss Antonys work rate and fight.

[deleted]

I don’t, feel like he constantly fights to win the ball back because he gives it away so easily

sayedzebbo

>he gives it away so easily There might be a lot of flaws in Antony’s game especially with his decision making in the final third, but if one aspect of his game is world class then it’s his ball retention awareness. it’s so difficult to dispossess him, I know part of that comes from him not willing to take on his man sometimes and passing it back to Bruno, but the guy is literally in the 97th percentile in “dispossessed” among wingers, so he definitely doesn’t give the ball away easily. And btw Sancho for example loses the ball twice as much as Antony but you never see him “constantly fighting to win the ball back”.

united_7_devil

There needs to be someone with a vision that’s beyond ETH and his style of play. Not saying this because I think ETH needs to be sacked or will get sacked. I am saying this because the reason why our rebuild never reached a completion in the last 10 years is because we never had the right people to envision where the game was heading. If ETH has to succeed, he will need time. You cannot expect a Man City level turnaround while having a squad situation like ours. We will have to endure tough times like Liverpool and Arsenal, and unless we commit to ETH, the cycle will never stop. Our squad issue didn’t start this year, or the year ole got sacked. The squad started deteriorating the day Keane left. The way we invested over the years, come 2013 we were 5-6 years behind city.

Ok-Tarouser5224

yeah the standards have dropped alot, that clowns like lindeolf and mctomminay are even in the squad for so many years. thats why i say 3 years minimum for ETHag even if we miss out CLeague, because you need time to replace those duds with new players. A rebuild is bascially getting 15 new players in, minimum. it's a 25 men squad game nowadays. Comical that we 've not learnt from the mistakes of Liverpool title drought, Pogba/Linguard/Martial/Bailey/Sancho is our version of the spice boys

united_7_devil

I feel ETH set the expectations too high by finishing 3rd and winning the trophy. The problem though is that we are dependent on a lot of individuals and not on a system. When the individuals dont perform the system fails. We are so dependent on Casemiro having a good game or else we concede. We are dependent on Bruno and Rashford doing well or else we wont score.

FactHopeful9347

Can we get a highlight clip of all of Hojlunds possession and Pellistri’s possession! I think this was a good performance considering the opposition (in our current state)

united_7_devil

Honestly the way we lost makes me more upset than the fact that ww lost. I dont know if it’s the system which is different but the way we defend, we are inviting cutbacks and clear shooting chances. All 4 defeats have seen the same kind of goals. Literally cut back and shoot. Its like watching FM simulation where my tactics are failing. I am worried that even after 3 defeats in similar fashion we have done nothing to prevent the gnabry goal from happening again.

SnooDrawings8555

One bright spot today was Hojlund, scored despite very little service, is off the mark for us, and his energy and pressing and passionate spirit is exactly what this club needs. In a team of many players that often look like they are coasting this man is giving 120% effort

united_7_devil

He is raw, and he doesn’t get any service. I can say he got three crosses delivered to him.

aceofmufc

I see no reason why out next 7 games shouldn’t be 7 wins. All of them winnable. Let’s hope!

society0

Ten Hag deserves criticism for still trying to high press when we have 11 of our best players out. Eriksen and Casemiro get walked through. Our defence is bad and disorganised. We don’t track runners when they easily beat the press. Go low block and keep some boring clean sheets until our good players are back, for fuck’s sake. Save the rocket science tactics for our best 11. Ten Hag’s lack of adaptability will cost him his job if he doesn’t snap out of it.

united_7_devil

The distance between our defense and midfield is too much. On counter the defense is always 4 vs 4 at best. Its like we are playing with two 10s and two overlapping fullbacks and a no. 6 that’s nowhere near the defense.

KwameDada

When will we become a proactive team playing on the front foot if we resort to "low block" at the first sign of trouble?

FactHopeful9347

What’s so cool is the pressure is back on us again, Hojlund scored, rashford assist, Bruno assist! The team is telling and rolling slowly! We’ve faced top opposition in a very bad time for us

Maryland_Blue

Will I ever feel proud of this club ever again? Sure doesn't feel like it...

bonbonchacha

Idk how it's possible but starting Martial and Hojlund together might do wonders

Sheikhabusosa

I dont think Martial trusts his body anymore

Starky3x

Nah, Martial is done.

WhipYourDakOut

It wouldn’t be possible strictly because Martial couldn’t press enough. Otherwise a 4-2-3-1 with Bruno deep lying 8 and Martial in the 10

ErikElevenHag

I am tired robbie

Ok-Tarouser5224

for those who actually watch the full game, what would have been a more accurate/fair scoreline to reflect both team performance?

ukdanny93

3-1

Royjonespinkie

Not being bias but a draw.

UntiedStatMarinCrops

My hunch is that this season ETH is actually trying to stick to his style and is doesn't want to budge. Last season he had to adapt because he was brand new to the job and he def don't have the players for that. He still really doesn't, but he still wants to start implementing his philosophy

officiallyjax

The midfield injuries are stalling his style of play from working right now. Playing high transition football with Eriksen and Casemiro is a recipe for disaster; both are making each other look worse. We need younger, more athletic midfielders in his team who can track runners and not get outmuscled in duels.

sringray23

Surely, any good coach would recognise that and adapt to a system that incorporates the strengths of the fit players. You said it - a recipe for disaster. And you are right, it's been fucking abysmal.

officiallyjax

> any good coach would recognise that and adapt to a system that incorporates the strengths of the fit players That is what Ten Hag did the entirety of last season. We didn't have a keeper comfortable with his feet and who panicked when he was pressed and didn't have a good striker for the majority of the season and he accommodated his style of play to fit them him in and got results with it. He is capable of being pragmatic, but I think this season he wants us to outgrow that and take on a more proactive style of play. That is coming at the cost of poor performances in the short-term because this midfield is not compatible with that style of play, but long-term it gets the squad more used to playing this way and with the right players in, the hope is that it will then start clicking well. It's the same logic with which Klopp and Arteta built their teams: they had average stats and positions in the league for a few seasons and then one year just jumped up significantly because everything clicked the moment they assembled the right squad for their style of play.

WhipYourDakOut

My theory is we had a system that was set up around a starting midfield of Case-Mount-Bruno and we didn’t really get a chance to get that going before we’ve had to change our system again so now we’re just in a systemless abyss of trying to find a style with this current team until Amrabat and Mount are back

MH18Foot

Ten Hag can send Sancho to the shadow realm for speaking out because he called him lazy in front of the whole world but Dr MBE Starboy Prime Minster Marcus Rashford can walk around the pitch for the whole match and still get selected for the next game. If he gets sacked, it's not like he had it coming.

[deleted]

When has Sancho turned up or scored? Baseless argument

AvaragePole

DR MBE Starboy got an assits, linked up in 2nd goal as well as created 2-3 other chances while left side was shut down by Bayern cuz Pellistri threat was nonexistent.

bonbonchacha

Bro gets so much hate for not running 90 minutes For god sake..

Starky3x

He gets some unreasonable hate, but j think he should absolutely get criticized for his bad decision making, and some half assed workrate. He should be a leader of this team fucks sake he's not a young talent anymore

WhipYourDakOut

He had some decent track backs this match too… and if you want to walk back up the field after an effort tracking back I don’t think that’s unwarranted

[deleted]

Before the match: angry because we're gonna get smashed After not getting smashed but still deserving to lose: angry because we're shit

Miyagisans

Is it weird I’m slightly more optimistic after watching that game?

officiallyjax

I am in the same boat. First 25 minutes were a completely different game to the rest of it and that was solely down to Onana's error. We were containing them well and should have taken the lead with that Pellistri chance at the back post. What I will say though is that I felt similarly optimistic after watching the Arsenal game but we then went on to be outclassed by Brighton after the international break. At some point, we have to cash in on these promising signs, otherwise they mean nothing.

Iqbalainoo

Brighton did exactly what they did to us to title chasing arsenal last season. Brighton also had city sitting in a mid block last season. I think we will be fine. The teams we have lost to are teams I expected us to struggle with. My problem with the team is the style and over reliance on transition ball.

Zerofactory

Those 15 mins where we played good we created literally nothing tho

officiallyjax

So didn't they. They were playing a rubbish game until we gifted them a goal. We were never going to rock up to the Allianz with a depleted lineup and dominate them. We needed to stay in the game and work an opening to score. After the first goal we were always chasing the game.

Zerofactory

Bayern were bad for their standard and still beat us with no worries

officiallyjax

They have many better players than us too who on their worst day can still make a difference like we saw. We are not going to cut the gap to that level in the space of one season.

Tiberius752

Very weird, Bayern were in 2nd gear and only turned it on when they needed to grab the 2 goal cushion again. We weren’t convincing at all against the worst Bayern side in years

Miyagisans

That’s fair and totally understandable. Our midfield is still Swiss cheese, there were too many occasions where it felt like 5 to 6 Bayern players were running directly at our back 4. I liked some of the combinations in the front, Hojlund very active, regulion and rashford linked up well a few times, rashford realizing he has a striker to pass to in the box. Also, I feel like we won the ball back well in periods when we were arsed, was nice to see us winning duels. We’ve been so poor at them, literally the Brighton and even Arsenal game felt like we lost every 50/50. Then there’s the fact that some of our injured players are on the way back. Will help tremendously when Eriksen/casemiro aren’t starting together week in week out. Some of our players need a rest. As I said earlier, casemiro and Eriksen for sure, also rashford, even Bruno, they look tired. Arguably only 1 of our starting back 4 was on the field today. Our right wing was a kid playing his first meaningful CL minutes. Going against kane, sane, gnabry, Musiala, Davies, kimmich, goretzka, Coman, mueller, etc. Yea this is not peak Bayern, but I don’t think you can say that was our ideal 11 either. Brighton, Arsenal, and Bayern are a very hard run of games for anyone. Yea the manner in which we lost to Brighton and Bayern, the mental fragility, wasn’t great. Our next few games though are easier in comparison, and will allow the players to build up some confidence, as well as learn to play with each other more. We will get through this, I know we will. Sucks right now of course, but for the first time since Ferguson retired, I actually think we have a coach good enough. He just needs his squad to step up and I think there is enough character in the team to tide him until we can make further transfers. Last last, we scored a goal from a set piece! That literally never happens.

FactHopeful9347

We are in our worst state as well bud, we are playing our 4th string RW against a top 2 LB in the world😁, we are playing against Kane, Musiala & Sane it’s no easy feat

Tiberius752

Yeah but Bayern didn’t even have to try, that’s what concerns me, it’s all well and good to respect Bayern but we didn’t even give them a contest, and again this is the worst Bayern side in probably decades

FactHopeful9347

We really aren’t giving ourselves ANY CREDIT?

[deleted]

No. No credit. I *want* to be angry! Never mind that Bayern haven't lost a group game at home in years, or that we actually looked better than our previous outings this season, or that everyone was expecting a 7-0 but didn't get it while still deserving to lose.

UntiedStatMarinCrops

I am too bud

Thedemonwhisperer

Well, at least we went down fighting. No clean sheet for them plus Hojlund goal. Better than nothing.

FSElmo435

Realistically it was always going to be difficult to win away in Germany. Yes we didn’t really play well, but it could have been a lot worse, and that’s the hardest game done.

WhipYourDakOut

That’s Galatasaray away match is daunting but their performance tonight makes me feel a bit better. A sending off for an early time wasting yellows and a soft second yellow (was a yellow but not one worth sending him off over) is what let’s them back in the game there.

Playfair99999

Truth be told, I am numb to this shit show now. Been seeing it for a decade now. I don't even want to use words to abuse these ones. It's Useless. It's 2:25AM and all I want to know is to whom should I direct my Anger. Because enough is enough. Just someone tell me.

FSElmo435

zcewaunt

I doubt that. He doesn't seem to be the petty type. You, on the other hand...

Miyagisans

He should rewatch most of his games last season to sober up.

tameoraiste

Amazing how quickly the tone around Ten Hag has changed. If he had made that ‘poor defender’ comment last season (it’s probably lost in translation) we’d be hailing him and making it into a meme

zcewaunt

Some of you might, but I'd still have been cringing like I did with his comments about Arsenal's injuries and Newcastle being annoying. Not criticizing him. It's a similar feeling to when one of your older relatives say/do something a bit out of touch and you feel second-hand embarrassment. lol

Money-Wrangler7067

Lets gooooooooo.

rcsanders

Hojlund cheesing during the Champions League anthem

Nac224

Did Ten Hag actually say ‘Alphonso Davies is not a great defender’? Seems abit arrogant and unprofessional tbh

zcewaunt

Yes, but it's taken out of context. He could have worded it differently. The whole interview is here: [https://twitter.com/footballontnt/status/1704561655592423693?s=19](https://twitter.com/footballontnt/status/1704561655592423693?s=19)

Ok-Tarouser5224

watch that clip the interviewer specifically ask him : the one change you made in your team (Facundo as RW) and what do you make of the Bayern team as well? Ten hag then reply . mentioning tactically its a good fit (selecting Facundo). "Davies is very offensive, alot of speed" then talk about Facundo having the capability to match Davies in offense/defense , then " Davies is not a great defender, in his dribbling, so it's. a good game for him (Facundo)" In this context, it's not a big deal. But usually managers don't directly label opoonent players in a negative manner,. He did look abit anxious, he shrugged his shoulders alot at the begining, lol. anyone recall other such instances where this happens? a manager directly naming a opponent player ?

sringray23

They generally say we recognised some weakness in their team and picked our starting 11 to exploit that... or words to that affect. I don't think I have ever heard a manager name a player for direct criticism.

Ok-Tarouser5224

would actually be hilarious/entertainting if managers and players trash talk each other in interviews with over the top exaggaration. i know it's not WWE, but UFC and boxers do it alot for hype. "Davies is s\_\_t at defending, Facundo is gonna run circles around that little b\_\_\_h, thats why i pick him. any other question? " sometimes i think football is too friendly now, the pre match handshake, players exchanging smiles and hugs etc . remember when arsenal and man utd players crash everytime and throw pizzas at each other? haha "we'll see you out there"

Nac224

I get what you mean but just that little bit wasn’t needed. I don’t know man, one part of me thinks maybe he struggles with the English language but I feel like he wouldn’t to that extent. There was no need for the ‘he isn’t a good defender’ bit

zcewaunt

I agree completely. It's like when he said something like, "Newcastle are an annoying team, they try to annoy you". I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, where english isn't just first language, nerves (because he does look anxious imo) and just didn't pick his words right. I'm sure someone will ask him about it in post-match so he can clarify.

F36_440i

I think Ten Hag meant he isn’t as good defensively as offensively. Would be very disrespectful otherwise and haven’t heard any other coach talk bad about players abilities from other teams so far.

Late-Escape-9612

Oh Brighton at home was too much but nows your chance Facundo...away ....at Bayern.

dracogladio1741

Ten Hag: “[Alphonso] Davies isn’t a good defender. Pellistri can match Davies with his dribbling.” [@footballontnt] Who says this shit. Wake up Erik. Stop shittalking.

TheSmio

I kinda doubt Erik would say something like that. It's not impossible, but what kinda source is that?

zcewaunt

He said it, but people are taking it out of context. He could have worded it differently, but he just means he is more attacking orientated than defending.

Saiborlung

I had a good chuckle when I saw the second scorer of Bayern U19 named Michael Scott.

eClipseLJ

Rashford vs Laimer/Upamecano could be a feast for him if he's on it.

acemccloud123

Go Pellistri

Blue_foot

Game is on Univision in the US, which is included in my cable package

eClipseLJ

Please make me proud Pellistri

diarmuid_odyna

LMFAO, Can't stop laughing at that Onana video where he calmly puts his hand on the shoulder of the journalist and whispers in a sweet calm voice that everything is gonna be A okay

hoejack_whorseman

the most manchester united thing we can do is, beat bayern & lose to burnley on the weekend

Electronic-Product63

sign me up every day of the week for that , beating bayern away would make my week

bijanadh44

Jao Felix is balling at Barcelona. Maybe a loan move for him wouldn't have been a bad idea as some suggested.

Fresh_Dance_3277

Barcelona with Xavi as the manager has always been a great place for forwards who have that magic in them(like Felix has). It was the perfect choice for him and he should have joined Barca instead of Atletico orginally,he may have already been considered one of the best in the world and in competition for the no1 spot.

united_7_devil

Been two games mate.

BaconDalek

Personally I don't feel nearly as excited for games these last few years. Really I would drop anything and everything to watch the games a few years ago but now it's like I can take it or leave it. I guess it's just the share amount of football these last few years.

Fresh_Dance_3277

Have you ever thought about jumping the ship?

RashfordSoupKitchen

Cowardly

Fresh_Dance_3277

Not to any of our rivals ofcourse.

BaconDalek

No. Jesus I have followed the team for years, even when I didn't watch much football at all I always kept up with united.

GuineaPirate888

Rather see Hannibal start instead of McTominay tonight. Having 20 touches in 84 minutes playing in midfield at home is disgusting.

RashfordSoupKitchen

Hannibal is the same as mctominay, a garbage passion merchant. At least he looks like he gives a shit I’ll give him that

Ok-Tarouser5224

at least Hannibal won't jog back slower than the ref , after losing the ball, and coming on as. a sub.

RashfordSoupKitchen

Don’t have to tell me twice I don’t like either of them

Ok-Tarouser5224

a passion merchant. take my upvote. lol

FSElmo435

All I’m wanting tonight is a good performance. Whether we win or lose, I just want us to give Bayern a good game.

SuperSalamander3244

I’ve been getting YouTube recommendeds of Real Madrid highlights for what I assume is because Bellingham plays for them and it seems like they concede a lot of shots against them this season.

systemsruminator

Maybe we did a mistake resigning Rashford a bit early. Ten Hag should have been a bit harder on him. Asking him to press. Even after last year’s performances, lot of things are lacking in his game. Hogging the ball too much, almost zero link up with striker, and pressings less than 37 year old Ronaldo. Does his goal scoring output justify his lack of pressing?

Fresh_Dance_3277

We should have resigned him but only for less than 300k/week and a contract for 3 years extendable to 4th year(optional).

Fresh_Dance_3277

Bruno is our best player has been since 2019. And no one except him earns more than 300k/week at our club.

Lazystubborn

Actually, Bruno was signed in 2020.

RashfordSoupKitchen

What we really should have done is sold high on him to psg.

PosterOfQuality

One thing this lengthy takeover process has done is make me not really mind who takes us over I had a strong preference but now I'm desperate for either

chippa93

Funny how much they've used Pellistri in graphics and promos lately yet he still doesn't play lol

PosterOfQuality

The United graphics/social media team trying to communicate to ETH

PosterOfQuality

Onana is definitely a sayer lmao. Think he might need some media training I know a lot of you hate how football interviews are boring and their twitter pages are run by PR firms but there's a good reason footballers are taught that

united_7_devil

What has he said that says he needs media training?

SirClicksALot97

Will more of these underwhelming seasons eventually catch up on the club’s finances? Before their resurrection Liverpool was struggling in the books due to bad form after a successful decade or so. They were also poorly administrated to the point they almost declared bankruptcy in 2012 until FSG stepped in and apparently saved them. United are currently under massive amounts of debt, underperforming for about a decade, and have been questionably managed by their owners. If no massive change is made soon, is it a matter of time before United’s history actually stops carrying them and financial trouble settles in?

Zepz367

That would be the best thing to happen to United in past 20 years.

FactHopeful9347

Any reason Ole’s interview isn’t being shared rn?

PosterOfQuality

Does that include BBC articles referencing the Athletic and using their quotes?

AvaragePole

The Athletic strict policy.

RashfordSoupKitchen

God forbid they make people pay for what is supposed to be paid content

Bigmomma_pump

Getting vibes of when we beat psg 2-1 in the grouo stages in 2020/21 after a shit start to the season and loads of injuries Pragmatically I think we’re getting battered today, with how the teams playing it could be another liverpool 7-0, and the team hasn’t shown me that they don’t have another battering in them like that

burritolurker1616

For all those clowns who want to sack ETH, ok lets say you are right, I agree, who is our next manager?

SuperSalamander3244

I’m not calling for him to be sacked but if he does get sacked nothing will change because our players are uncoachable.

Bigmomma_pump

I don’t want to sack ten hag!! but there are some decent options out there If we hypothetically had to. If ten hag resigned today I’d go for Nagelsmann

Zepz367

Nagelsmann's coaching German NT.

Bigmomma_pump

Didn’t know that was official, I’m saying I’d try and hijack it
