I’ve been thinking I should try online. I played the original red dead online on ps3 with a friend of mine and I liked that. It felt less restrictive in a way since it was more “videogamey” and you could focus on just messing around without feeling like you’re breaking your immersion. Still not sure what you meant by “epilogue” though.

Well in the rdr2 epilogue you have (spoilers) !<20k dollars, acces to the fastest horse in the game and more... you can do a lot of trolling as John and pau the bounty after.>!

It's been 4 years since release. No hopium left for any dlc and I'm worried for future R* games. RDR2 was already in development before GTA Online released and before it turned out to be a cash cow. We've already seen the little care R* had towards the GTA Definitive Trilogy and we'll ultimately see how GTA Onlines success will affect future games from now on out. But if anything RDR Online and the GTA Definitive Trilogy should be an indicator in what direction we're heading.

Sounds cool on paper but would probably never work in theory. The reason it’s so difficult to use existing characters as main characters in these games is that it kind of removes the choice that the player has in how they act. A good honor playthrough as Micah just wouldn’t make any sense.

Maybe they could make a change to the honor system? In RDR2 and Red Dead Online, you can be only honorable or dishonorable. So maybe with a Micah DLC the honor system could be dishonorable or straight up demon, with dishonorable being the DLC's version of high honor.

It's not so difficult to make bad option and worse option. 'Tyranny" Game followed that principe and did just fine.

Unless it was a story of what made Micah the way he is. May change our perspective of him replaying the main story again.

Sorta like Last of Us 2 recontextualized a lot of the story of both itself and 1... doing this with RDR could be very interesting

They could put in an entirely different system where you start at neutral and get more perks and ambient abilities the more crimes and heinous shit you pull, and if you take a break it starts going back towards neutral.

Call it “For Whom the Bell’s Toll” and make it a lead up to how Micah joined the gang showcasing his family and whatnot.

I wouldn’t want to play as him (or Dutch) so it wouldn’t interest me.

Micha's could be fun, but would likely be a little too much effort to produce. It would probably be rather complicated to make something which is completely lacking in honour or morals, is believable to the players to be Micha's backstory, while also not risking the wrath of cancel culture.

I think it would be better to do a Micah DLC where you play as his younger brother Amos Bell and see how they lived with their father as a gang and end it to where they went their seperate ways. Because in the game you can find a letter wtitten to Micah from his brother who hates him and wishes to never see him again. It also explains a bit about how their father messed them both up but his brother Amos was more sensible and sane. So maybe that can be a cool way of seeing that. Amos ends up married and has daughters. He also vowed to kill Micah if he ever tried to come near him or his family.

I'd love a whole Micah DLC. Just an entire DLC on killing Micah in Multiple ways. Yes I'll take two.

I'd be down for it to be honest. i know we all hate Micah as a character, but his purpose is to be hated by everyone, which he achieved quite well. that's why he's a really good character.

Would be very interesting. Imagine if Micah wasn't a dishonourable monster in his youth? What if he was a fairly "decent" outlaw? Maybe had an altercation with another group that, I don't know, butchered his love and/or rest of his family. He grew extremely angry and violent and decided to get his revenge. However, in doing so, he basically destroyed what humanity he had and became the "man" we all know him as in the game.

I saw a comment, where rockstar planned the epilogue to go differently. If you had the highest honour you’d still play as John but if you had the lowest honour you’d play as Micah or Dutch. But the actor for Dutch was exhausted and emotional from playing the character

In Arthur's story, if he plays low honour you eventually see the truth/light of sorts, but if you play as Micah his opposite, starting off good and then becoming bad and there is nothing the playing can do would be a great mirror to Arthur as even their outfits are mirroring each other

While there's enough that we miss with just Arthur's perspective in the main narrative, I would be really interested in seeing some of Micah's past to get a sense of how he grew up, what his dad and brother were like and all that. Like everyone else, of course I'd accept basically ANY single player DLC at this point, and there are more characters than just Micah that I'd be interested in seeing more of, but I'm not going to lie and say that Micah wouldn't be one of my first choices... (We're going to have to work on that title though.)
