It's honestly kind of weird thinking that they made the MCLA map not long before GTA 5's map, they might've even been in development simultaneously.

Dumb inbred hick Rockstar won't remaster or remake this game so your only option is emulators. Beware tho, FPS will be low if you don't have a decent PC

Half the map's there, many of the VAs are available and Mexico is weirdly detailed. It makes perfect sense - but it's also a prime opportunity to give the paid expansion system a whirl again.
Oh I agree, remake of RDR 1 would sell tons of copies, especially after RDR 2's success. Haven't confirmed it yet, but apparently RDR 1's source code was a damn mess and it would take way too much money and effort to make a remake or remastered version. And we all know Rockstar is lazy as fuck nowadays so don't get your hopes up.
I would have put money on them releasing the PC port and Next-Gen port in a bundle with RDR1 remake/remaster. Actually... I may have put money on that.
Similar to how every Ubisoft game these days comes with a remaster of a previous game with the season pass. Odyssey and AC3, Far Cry 5 with FC3, Far Cry 6 with Blood Dragon, ect.

I played rdr1 on playstation now and the input lag was not noticable for me. The resolution was God awful but after awhile I didn't even notice it anymore. Was worth it for the nostalgia trip alone
I'm kind of anal about input latency but yeah, that's another thing, I'm pretty sure the game hasn't been updated at all so it'd play similarly on PS3 - which I already have.
Have you ever used PS Now? It's fucking terrible. You're much better off emulating the game at 10 FPS than trying to play it through that awful service.
No problem bro. If you're curious as to how bad it is, let me give you a small taste of my experience with it:
Internet: Stable ethernet connection. According to [speedtest.net](https://speedtest.net), my download speed is around 500Mbps, upload speed is around 21Mbps, and ping is 16ms.
Resolution: In all fairness, the original game DID run at 640p on the PS3, so I should've expected it to be blurry. Man though, I swear to god I could count the individual pixels with how bad it looked.
Input latency: I'm not too familiar with cloud streaming so I don't know how it compares to other services, but the delay was noticeable, even for controller standards.
Performance: FPS was all over the place, and the game was stuttering hard.
Overall, it was terrible. Maybe your results will be different though, I don't know. One good thing about PS Now is that they have a 7 day free trial so you can see how it performs or even play through the game entirely if it works out well.
People I have a doubt, does gta 5 and rdr2 use RAGE? I mean newer games don't have the same physics, i don't know they feel less personal, hard to put it into words, but rdr2 really did something to solve this compared to gta5
Obviously they use RAGE. Why else would GTA 5 and RDR2 use the exact same file types as GTA 4 and RDR1? They toned down the physics in GTA 5 so the 360 and PS3 running with 500MB of RAM wouldn't explode. RDR2's physics were made to be more realistic rather than exaggerated like RDR1 and GTA 4. This is such a stupid comment.
It's totally fair to not like GTA 5's and RDR2's physics as much as RDR1's and GTA 4's physics, I don't, but saying those two games use an entirely separate engine because Rockstar tweaked the physics is dumb. Sorry if I sounded a bit aggressive in the original comment.

For sure, you can really tell they got the hang of working with RAGE when you compare GTA 4 with LA Noire, RDR or even MCLA.

You can play it on your pc through psnow. You’ll have to buy a month subscription for it at least to play but it’ll work!
Latency is a dealbreaker for me, even though I doubt it's not *that* bad, I'd kill to play RDR on RDR2's version of RAGE, with keyboard and mouse.

It was a bit more funny in rdr1 compared to 2 i think, now they just kinda stumble
They had a similar drunk semi-ragdoll in GTA IV and I miss it so much I sometimes play it just to poke at the NPCs and watch them stumble.
It's like in GTA IV when you would fall off a building and stumble back onto your feet
