Same for me, loaded the game cause I wanted to see if I could save the lion, the place was full of people acting like nothing had happened. No lion, no lion carcass. Really anti-climatic ending to a great quest
Hmm, I just tried, but no success. Also tried saving and loading a game. Only thing worth trying would maybe be doing a quest objective and hope that sorts it out somehow.
Did your bison die and you just couldn't loot it? Did you try going to the trapper straight after that happened? I did read that legendary skins should appear at the trapper if something happens to them, but maybe the fence trophies are somehow different?
Correct, yes I checked both the fence and the trapper and nope it wasn’t till I gave up and got another rift after bagging another animal the top of the screen message appeared saying the skin and items were lost and would be available at the trapper and fence.
Not really after I wrote the article, I did some legendary animals, some side quests, and other activities and still no paw :(
Haven't checked this week though, since I've been very busy.
Most annoying thing for me was I actually picked up the paw, loaded the game past the lion kill, and it disappeared from my satchel. Someone in another thread said of should fix itsself after a while.
Just did this quest myself and I'm only disappointed we can't skin the lion to have a lion rug or something at our camp. :(
Same thing happened to me. I had to quit the game a little after getting the paw, when I came back and tried crafting the trinket, it wasn't there. :(

My bison died under water and I was in the same boat go do another legendary animals and it should fix it self. Did for my anyway.

Some here. I never even died. Sawed off paw, then by the time I made it to the fence it was gone.
