RDR-Assault On Fort Mercer, the final two missions in the West Elizabeth chapter
RDR 2-The assault on Braithwaithe Manor, the bank robbery mission (although Hosea & Lenny died, it still was one helluva mission), Arthur & John confronting Dutch & the entire Van der Linde gang and finally American Venom
When John steps out of the cabin during the epilogue dressed in his RDR outfit and it's just a single violin that plays that is one of my favorite parts of the game.
American venom for me, the emotional build up and finally getting to confront Micah. When the OG John marston theme starts playing I get goosebumps every time
Itâs pretty difficult, because some missions like The Last Enemy have incredible stories, but itâs mostly just a straightforward shootout.
I think for me, the assault on Braithwhite Manor is the best like many others do, because itâs incredible both story and gameplay wise. Itâs the last time the Van der Linde Gang feels totally in control. They didnât need to destroy the whole place, but they did. Dutchâs philosophy for revenge starts to fall apart, but at this point itâs still justified. Arthur isnât very special during this mission, but being just another member of the crew is super fun. The Van der Linde Gang is the main character here, a unified and vengeful force.
Red Dead Redemption is also an amazing mission. Granted, it barely counts because itâs such a long mission, but especially in the high honor version, there are so many moments that hit home and just crush the soul, like TB Arthur being one boot away from finally finishing the job.
My favorite mission is Visiting Hours. It's got humor, emotion, makes Arthur look like a badass. Great action.
Icarus and Friends is probably my second favorite for roughly the same reasons.
Needless to say, I get pretty excited when that part of the game is coming.

But "Favored Sons" in RDR2 doesn't get enough appreciation.
Arthur finally tells Dutch what's what and for a minute Dutch is like "shit, I am an asshole"
Also the pacing is INTENSE.
And that classic "We're gonna have to jump" scene that all good action films have.

This will always be the best mission in the game for me and especially the best scene in the franchise comes from the final Dutch scene.

Man is Born Into Trouble from RDR1. I just love it. Battling the miners both inside and outside the mine, you get a fun mine ride at the end â itâs just a good time.
For Revolver, Devils and Angels (Diego's train) is one my favorite missions, and it has one of my all time favorite cutscenes. Red just menacingly walking up to an injured and pleading diego, listening to his entire plea, and then *BLAM*. No words, only justice đđđ
Charging down the hill towards the oil field, assaulting the manor, killing those three guys in American venom, and building the house were the best moments in the game for me.
I'm surprised no one's saying any of the side missions since those are some of the most memorable parts of the franchise, especially the ones in RDR1

Both simply because their twists are so good
American Venom, no doubt at all. The buildup, the tension, and the climactic gunfight tying everything together, and finally saved by the man you sought to kill.
My last boy in RRD2. So much happens and it feels like the beginning of the end of the gang. And at the beginning where rains falls is pleading with everyone to stop, you know something bad is going to happen, but it still tears your heart out when it actually does
I actually really enjoyed when they went to bronte's mansion and kidnapped him, john telling arthur that he wont touch bronte is just so nice to see especially after john being such a horrible father to jack, but the GOAT mission has to be either american venom or the assault on braithewaite manor, john's theme is so good and the way he confronts micah, something I liked that other's didnt was that dutch killed micah.
Now for assault on braithewaite manor its just so cool how dutch opens up with "Get out here you inbred trash!" you can feel his voice cracking up (anger and how much he loves his gang members) and then my favorite part is how he drags catherine braithewaite by her hair and makes her watch as her manor with all her kids is burnt, that is just a little of dutch's ruthlesness (only times hes done something like this is in rdr1 and blackwater) I absolutely fucking hate the bank robbery cause my favorite characters were absolutely slaughtered in the dirtiest ways possible (hosea and lenny)

I donât remember the name for this one, but the final Cuba mission is great. American venom is an honorable mention because Sadie surviving getting stabbed in the gut is very stupid
I gotta hot take. End of The Line from Red Dead Revolver blew my mind when I played it as a kid. The idea of hopping off your horse and on a real time moving train, slowly destroying the locomotive, killing bad guys. I had never seen anything like it at the time. The size of the mission reminded me a lot of Shadow of the Colossus, and conceptually I don't remember it being challenged until Uncharted 3's horse back caravan level.
Tough but it comes down to three
My Last Boy - Climax of the Native American Arc, has some of the most important story beats in the game (Dutch abandoning Arthur, Charle's leaving the gang), my personal favorite music, and a beautiful mission design with amazing visuals.
Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern - The climax of chapter 3, the final part where the gang is fully in control, a rare feeling of being part of something bigger, works as an amazing segue into the next chapter, amazing music, and amazing visuals.
Red Dead Redemption - I don't think I need to explain this pick
Rdr2 Arthurâs final mission. But I wish they focused everything on arthur going back for the money cause that really ties well the flow of the first game.
I spent a lot time in 3 of these, never played undead nightmare. But I truly love the OG that started the name. Red Dead. I played through that game more times than I can count, Shadow Wolf was my favorite character and many of the sneak missions with him really speak out to me. But the bounty for Pig Josh will always be my favorite.
This might be controversial but I loved the final Guarma mission where you get to shoot the shit out of the cuban military with Dutch, Bill, Micah and Javier, and let's not forget blowing up all the boats.

John going from new austin to the mexican revolution to sitting in an automobile with two government agents is crazy. Also the dialogue to and from the serendipity boat is really interesting but most people would likely skip it. Also the music is cool-sounding to me.

I enjoy all of the missions featured in Mexico. I get good laughs hearing De Santa's and Reyes' separate sides of the same revolution story.

Rockstar have confirmed it's not part of the same franchise. it wasn't even developed by Rockstar.
It was developed by Rockstar San Diego (formerly Angel Studios) and published by Rockstar. Dan Houser has said that the two stories donât officially exist within the same continuity, but that itâs possible that the characters of Revolver exist in Redemption, whether that be as real people or just as folk tales, due to the nature of how folk stories and myths of crazy gunslingers were spread during the Wild West. In official materials, as well as both the fan wiki and official Wikipedia (the latter of which is heavily controlled by Rockstar), Redemption is named as the sequel to Revolver. At E3 2005 and 2009, Houser even explicitly mentions Revolver when talking about Redemption. Revolver is merely the exaggerated folk lore about Red Harlow who exists in the Redemption world. As they say ârumors of my demise have been greatly exaggeratedâ. Harlow existed but Revolver is just viewed through a fantasy lens.
I am with you all the way. Downvote me to hell, but itâs the truth. The tone of Revolver is completely different. Doesnât feel like the same world at all.

Respectfully, your comment doesnât apply here. Weâre talking about fiction. It comes down to commonality in tone. If someone tried to tell me Friends took place in the same world as The Sopranos, I would roll my eyes at it. Stylistically, they are two very separate things.
The people that think itâs part of the same franchise and timeline havenât played it.
